Dr. Hatfield did a full knee replacement on me a few years back and he was fantastic. I loved that he was honest and upfront about what to expect--so many doctors sugar coat things (i.e. severe pain is not the same thing as "discomfort"). I healed up beautifully and went on my merry way. Now that my other knee is acting up, I'm back. I have full faith in Dr Hatfield's advice and care. He is not the doctor who insists you have a consultation first then sends you for X-rays then had you come back again for treatment. He had me get X-rays first then come in one time. He looked at them, diagnosed, and gave me my cortisone shot all in one quick visit. No nonsense! His staff is also very kind, knowledgeable, and caring.

I shrugged and complied. Then after asking why I was there he said... I don't do ankles. Why did they make an appointment for me then? And he didn't care about MRI nor the X-ray they insisted he wanted me to have. It was the biggest waste of time and money. Then he said I needed to see the ankle doctor. Well the ankle dr was only "maybe" going to see patients there. He is normally at StJoe. It was all ridiculous.

I was diagnosed, at 25 years old, with a protruding disc in l4-l5 and an extruding disc with an annual fissure in l5-s1, and stenosis. I was in a lot of PAIN. I was overweight, and feeling helpless and overcome by my injury. ENTER OSPI! I worked with Renee, PA on building an incredible program for me including injections, physical therapy and chiropractic ALL in the same building. I worked with amazing individuals at PT (special shout out to David, Eric and Ken!) to slowly build my body up to what I never thought I'd be able to do again. It was a long process over several months, with often tri-weekly appointments, but they never gave up on me! Now I've lost 50 (even I can't believe it!), but 50 pounds!! My strength, endurance, and core strength are back and I feel like I can meet all my current and future fitness goals without being held back by my back pain. And Dr. Jeff, the chiropractor, is an absolute delight. He's brilliant in his work. He's very helpful, informative and never fails to make you laugh even in the worst of situations like chronic pain. He helped my lower back enormously and never forgot to also tend to my other areas of pain. I am eternally grateful to OSPI, and will never miss the pain that brought us together, but will certainly miss this facility of talented, and caring practitioners.

Had Reversed Shoulder Replacement done by Dr Weinstein a few weeks into December and so far it was…read morea great experience. From the first day I walked into his offices everything has just clicked with great communication. I had a X-ray done the day of my first visit and I had already had several X Rays, CT and MRIs done years in the past so I knew what I was up against. I really like the way he communicates, he's very direct and down to earth. He said well.....the shoulder has significant bone loss and muscle tears. We can try some shots to elevate the pain or the only other option is shoulder replacement. What path would you like to take? I immediately said I want full replacement. I told him about all the past information I had collected and what past options I was given. All of which pushed me toward pain relief only. I was done with that and ready to have my shoulder repaired permanently once and for all. And I could see he new I was ready. He called in one of his staff people who scheduled his surgery's and from that point forward things just moved along perfectly. It was about a 4 month +\~ out schedule to surgery date but in that time others pre-op items were taken care of and items at home needed to be done as well before surgery date. Surgery was performed at Mercy Hospital across the street from his offices. I was very pleased with the Hospital staff and the way everyone did there jobs to make me as comfortable as possible. I was in and out the very next day by noon. This was not my first time being in a hospital for surgeries, so I knew what I was in for. I will need my other shoulder replaced next year and won't hesitate to come back to Dr Weinstein and have it done at Mercy Hospital. Outstanding surgeon and surgical staff.

Is there is more money in attempted repair than the TKR I had originally requested? I now wonder. Regardless, it has been just over a week; I am off pain killers and moving around with only a cane. I can even walk a little on even ground unassisted. With Weinstein and I couldn't walk properly for months. So after four months I went went back and complained to his face... which was a complete waste of time. My advice (and I did it this time) get multiple opinions, recommendations and do not let your self get sweet talked. Also pick a surgeon that specializes in the particular joint you are replacing or at least that are of the body, not one that can, or does, replace all sorts of other body parts.

In the middle of the night I fell and heard multiple cracking sounds. I couldn't move and had to…read morecall an ambulance. I was taken to Banner Ironwood ER. There I was thoroughly X-rayed. They told me there was nothing wrong and handed me a plastic shoe that was supposed to help and then made me walk out on my own. That shoe made it worse! My husband had to basically carry me out. No one offered a wheelchair nor did they care. They just tossed me the shoe and told me I could leave. They cared more about visiting with each other than their patients! After a few days I was in so much pain I called Simmons Foot and ankle. When Dr. Simmons C-rayed me he found I had broken almost every bone in my right foot. Because I had no compound fractures, he put me on a boot but told me I would need to stay in bed until it healed. This took a few months. But every time I had an appointment, I was treated with care and dignity. I highly recommend Dr. Simmons!

I had already met my deductible for the year, yet when I arrived for my appointment, I was charged a $150 copay. First, I've never had a copay that high. Second, I showed the front desk my insurance app, which clearly indicated that my deductible had been met. Despite that, I was directed to billing and reluctantly paid so I could keep my appt. Several days later, I'm still trying to get my refund. The billing department says they're waiting to verify everything w/the insurance company - that doesn't make sense because the claim has already been paid. (Again clearly shown on my app) Which also shows I owed $0.00. I need to schedule injections, but I won't do so until this billing issue is resolved. If they can't , I'll be looking for another doctor.
