Dr. Bennion was the first doctor I felt comfortable enough to see for my annual exam. It wasn't until meeting that i started doing regular well checks. My heart broke when I received the letter saying she left the practice. I've tried to find her to see if I could possibly follow, but I read somewhere she's pursuing an opportunity in the private sector. But just before my last appointment, I received a phone call from the office, canceling my appointment because of my age??? Dr.Bennion has completely changed my perspective on OBGYN appointments. I had a previous doctor that traumatized me so the amount of nerves and fear I usually have even walking into an appointment is extreme. When I met Dr.Bennion she changed it all, I have never felt more safe , comfortable and cared for by a doctor. She does everything possible to make you extremely comfortable and always looks out for your best interest. IUDS can be uncomfortable to get and with her technique I have done it 3x over with her to find what's best for my body. I would've avoided this type of office at all costs and now I am happy to go. First time seeing a gynecologist and it was such a wonderful experience! The Banner clinic she is located in is a very nice area of Paradise Valley. I made an appointment a month in advance and when I went I was taken back quickly. The nurse was so kind and reassuring. Dr. Bennion was just the sweetest. I wish all doctors were like her. She listened to me and was very considerate of my concerns. I'm so glad I found her. I would highly recommend her. Even if I had to pay out of pocket. Dr. Bennion is worth it! read more

The Dr is great, so I feel bad this is on her page, but the office is set up so that patients have to needlessly suffer for prolonged periods of time. It is insane and wrong. I have been in pain since October. This clinic overstuffs this Dr's schedule and also does not have emergency slots built into her schedule which is a problem in and of itself. The soonest apt for someone in pain was 6 weeks away! They referred me to an Urgent Care. The Urgent Care found nothing wrong b/c their testing is limited. I literally have never had a gyno refer me to an Urgent Care, it was not an emergency but also not an ok situation to be dealing with for weeks on end. I finally get seen with Dr Bennion, she is lovely, and upon check out, I let the the Dr and front office staff know that I work 9-5pm, so to please leave my results and instructions on my vm. I explain thatI have a romantic, tropical vacation coming up and I really don't want to still be in pain for it. They have me sign a release to do this but then they disregarded those instructions over and over. Instead, they left a message to call them back. Every time I returned their call, this clinic has no clinical staff available to transfer me to so we can review my results, and treatment options, along with ordering any recommended meds. I've never had this issue before with a gyno. So I kept having to leave a message with the receptionist over and over and then they leaving me a vm simply stating to call them back - despite the fact that I have been BEGGING to please just leave a detailed message b/c I work from 9-5pm. They finally do leave a message with some treatment options, but the message is so confusing and muffled, including a website address listed that was not spelled out, and I could not understand (to order some kind of homeopathic cream) that I have to call Banner back AGAIN, many more times in fact, and repeat this frustrating process all over again. I finally get transferred to a nurse yesterday who reviews my chart and is also confused by the instructions (not ok) and so she escalates the message to the Dr. Someone calls me back and continues to leave vms that have no information, just to call them back b/c now the Dr has a few questions for me before clarifying her instructions but they don't bother to say what those questions are. So I have to do the phone tag process some more. I have probably called Banner over 15 times in the course of 3 weeks since my apt December 9th. THIS IS NOT OK. I keep saying for almost a month now, I am leaving for a tropical vacation soon and I don't want to be in pain. Please help me. Please tell me what is wrong. Please tell me what to do. Every time, the receptionists are very kind, empathetic, validating and they promise they will escalate the call to get me the answers I need. Again, I say, please have them leave me a detailed message - they assure me they will - but they do not. I have seen a few several gynos the past 3 decades (I am 47) and have never found it so challenging to get an apt, or get answers/help after an apt. It sucks, b/c I really like this Dr but I can not in good faith recommend this place. I leave for my trip this weekend and I am so hurt, angry and disappointed that despite trying so hard to get this issue taken care of before I left, I still have pain b/c of Banner's broken and negligent system. I will be calling the Complaint Hotline at the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health care Organizations (JCAHO) on this poorly run facility. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Bennion! She is knowledgeable and personable! I feel like she always put me first! I moved to Phoenix in Sept 2017 and I have been seeing her since. I came to her for an annual and IUD Birth Control! I was told then that I had a tilted Uterus and she was transparent that inserting my IUD will be challenging. She put my needs first and recommended i reschedule to prep me as it would be painful and i would medicate for Dilation. I took her advice and returned in a week and took the necessary meds. It wasn't the most pain free experience, but she wanted to make sure that my well being was placed first. She constantly blows me away! Her spirit is pure and warm, i just love her! read more

My referral to Dr. Bennion came from my internist whom I greatly respect. I was initially impressed by her demeanor; her firm handshake, warm smile, and direct eye contact made me feel I had come to the right doctor to consult with on a potential surgery. She was well educated on the purpose of my visit, followed up with an exam, and confirmed surgery was needed. Dr. Bennion's knowledge, professionalism, and interest in my comfort with the procedure confirmed she was who I trusted to do the surgery. I was right to put my trust in her! She and her staff, from the initial meeting to the post op appointment, answered all of my questions, provided excellent information on what to expect, pre-and post op procedures were printed and reviewed with me, as well as their personalized care phoning frequently to check on me. A procedure that was to be a little over two hours went over four hours due to a couple of surprises. One of which was locating a staple imbedded on my appendix from a surgical procedure seventeen years prior. Crazy! Lucky for me she discovered and removed it...I no longer have pain on my right side! I have never done a review before this one. I feel strongly about the excellence of Dr. Bennion and her staff and wanted to share my experience. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN HER HANDS. I've been seeing Dr. Bennion for over a year. She is very personable and pleasant on most occasions. Although i've decided to begin seeing a new OB/GYN after several issues. 1- She has absolutely no idea why my only remaining ovary is still producing 5+CM hemmoragic cysts while im on progesterone. I recently discovered from a pelvic pain surgeron (Dr. Hibner) that low dose progesterone might help prevent endometriosis but it IS ABSOLUTELY NOT enough progesterone to prevent ovulation therefore not preventing cysts in any way. 2- I have permanent nerve damage from endometriosis excision surgery back in 2015, which is why im working with Dr. Hibner who is a pelvic pain specialist/surgeon to try and excise the damaged nerves. i am also having to see pain management for medication refills and small procedures like nerve blocks, etc. two weeks ago Dr. bennion performed an ovarian cystectomy, and refused to wright a post-op script for pain and told me to take extra of what i had at home since i had recently filled a new script. well i wasn't under a pain contract at the time due to switching of insurance and had to switch clinics to someone my ins. covered. This new pain management Dr. is an absolute stickler about not refilling scripts early, so they're saying since she did the procedure shes responsible for providing the extra week of medicine until i'm due for a refill. (seems simple enough right?) well, SHE ABSOLUTELY REFUSES TO WRIGHT A SCRIPT & TOLD ME TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT WHEN I RUN OUT OF MEDICATION. like seriously? who the hell refuses to treat a patient?! i have never been more let down by a provider than i have in this situation. if you do a procedure that will cause pain, a SURGERY none the less... you are absolutely responsible for providing pain medication to cover for that procedure. As for the progesterone, this is my only remaining ovary... I am incredibly let down by her for lack of knowledge and providing such ill care for cyst prevention. i've had two cysts within six months under her care & she still cant figure it out. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN HER HANDS. read more
