I went to Sunrise Dermatology for hormonal acne. As I have gotten older, my skin has changed tremendously. Although they were a little booked out, I was okay with that! Awful experience and would never recommend this office. I never saw a doctor as I waited in the waiting room for over an hour with no updates. When I walked up to the front desk to tell them I was leaving all I was told was "Yeah. The doctor is running late. " I can't tell you if the Care received was good because I never made it that far. I went in for warts on my hand. I sat on the bench. He came in told me to go to Amazon and buy something. Then came in with liquid nitrogen and said we CAN do this too. Sprayed a few of them. Which didn't do anything. Then I left. And a month later I get a bill for $250?? I was never told i owed anything. I had to go and find my own stuff for it. And there's no payment plan options at all. I will not be returning for a follow up and will most likely have to let it go to collections for I was not well informed or prepared for it to be that expensive. Lack of communication. I feel used like he knew that I wouldn't know about it. read more

had difficulty with surgery on my leg. Had to go back several times to get it checked. surgery was on shin which is hard to treat. After a month still not healed. They were supposed to send a prescription for antibiotic cream. I needed a skin biopsy and I was so nervous and my anxiety was bad but everyone at the office made me feel comfortable, reassured, calm and made it a painless procedure. Wait time was great, I maybe waited 10-15min to get called back (which they apologized and said it was a busy morning but I am used to being stuck in waiting rooms forever so I thought it was great) and only a few minutes for the doctor. Came here for a second opinion and the whole appointment went smoothly. Arrived 15 mins early and had paperwork already filled out from online. Only wait a few minutes to be soon. He listened patiently to my concerns, gave great advice, prescribed without requiring follow-ups and is the BEST dermatologist I've ever had. He was also a great surgeon, as well. Please stay away. No one knows what they are doing or how to deal with people. Also they don't want service dogs in their office. Another client had to help me. Told me to come at 12:45 but no one was there until 1:00. Told me on the phone that they take Cigna but they don't. Had to finally just leave , never seeing a medical person after 45 minutes. I went to this office over a year ago and loved the doctor who saw me. Unfortunately, she doesn't work for them anymore. So when I was taking my daughter in regarding her acne, we got the PA. This lady basically stated that there are only two ways in this universe to get rid of acne: long term antibiotics (with an accompanying cream), and Accutane (which she dissuaded us from using). When I asked for more clarification about taking antibiotics for long term (she said my daughter should take it for as long as she had acne, which would probably be years), instead of nicely trying to assuage my fears, she got very defensive and snarky! Like, how dare I ask a follow up question of the great and powerful dermatology Physician's Assistant! She was short with me, condescending, and couldn't be bothered with my inquiries. Very unprofessional, never again. read more

Very disappointed in this office. Went for a pretty serious wound that appeared on my hand. The doctor I saw said she needed to get a swab done. She came back in a few minutes later and said they didn't have the lab supplies to do the swab at the moment. She asked if they could call me in an hour or so to come back up to get it done. I agreed. I never received a phone call from them. I called first thing the following morning to find out what was going on. They apologized and said they would call me soon when they get the stuff. They never called. I had to pay a second copay to go see another doctor who said it was MRSA. I totally felt this office did not care for my well being at all. read more

After calling many dermatologist and couldnt get an appointment for at least a month out sunrise came through. I called when they first opened and explained my 11 year old needed to see someone quick the emergency room couldn't tell me what was wrong. So understanding she said she would fit me in because they were booked but I was stressed not knowing what was going on with my daughters skin. I got there and the staff was amazing, and helpful. Dr. K was the best hands down took his time and talked with my daughter about her extreme skin rash. Me and my daughter can sleep alot easier knowing we're in good hands.
