I'm military so being new to Norwich and meeting friendly people in the community, I totally thought the businesses would be the same way. Until walking into Lily nails! I will never, ever go back!!! I have never met such unprofessional and entitled people!!! I paid for a manicure & polish that is $30. The manicure never happened. I never dipped my hands in water nor received a hand massage. Not even a lick of lotion. They simply filed my nails and half-way polished them. After the 15 minutes of doing my nails, they charged my card $31.91. The nail tech asked was I tipping, I politely said no. The nail tech then tried to hold my debit card until I paid. Again, I nicely said I was not paying, she called a man (I'm assuming the owner) and he came over and asked me to give a tip. After numerous times of saying I'm not paying a tip, I blurted out the service was not worth it. She finally gave me my card back, but I totally feel embarrassed, humiliated, and bullied. I know that Norwich is a small community, but I will definitely be looking for a more professional place to do my nails even if I have to travel out of town. I attached pictures so that you can see how messy and dry my nails and hands are.

I'm a regular at Lily's, very nice people and I like the atmosphere. It's better to go on a slow day though because they don't rush doing your nails and if you are doing a walk in they won't say "no time" which they do a lot, but it is a busy place. There's one girl I don't like doing my nails because she once filed my nails too much and I constantly have to ask her to fix my nails, but she always seems to get me as a customer because they will switch spots multiple times. A good nail salon, I would suggest to only getting your nails done here and don't do their eyelash extensions.

Fantastic nail place. Always accommodates walkins when possible. I always feel pampered and refreshed when I go here! Clean, reasonably priced and super friendly. Will definitely return and appreciated the terrific experience.

I hate to leave bad reviews and as you can see from my reviews I'm very fair. However, the service at this nail establishment was far from par. I came in after work as I was in the area for a dip set of nails.. I wanted a full set acrylics but they charge 60 dollars, what... I was told a short week and then they proceeded to seat a girl with no appointment for a pedicure before me and serve her when she came twenty minutes after me. I was passed along from different nail techs throughout the process and asked to move chairs. My nails were not shiny and cuticles were a mess. I asked woman to redo the shine as it was not good. She re-did just to make a mess again. I went back in after leaving to fix after realizing the nails were uneven. The woman filed them and they were still uneven again. Spending almost 2 hours in this establishment for a full set dip I left disgruntled and annoyed. Not to mention they charge additional to use a credit card on my 40 dollar purchase!!! Without telling me, so I spent over 50 bucks with tip for dip. Will NEVER return. Do not go here.

Ok so. I heard amazing things about this place so I told my friend I'd go with her because she always had a good experience but we're BOTH upset about what happened yesterday. I'll be leaving photos to show that 9 out of my ten nails have imperfections. I first had an issue when I told her my nails weren't the same lengths. She tried to show me they were but I showed her they weren't. She "fixed" everyone I asked but they still aren't the same length and from her trying to talk me out of it I didn't feel comfortable with saying anything again. Then when the acrylic was put on looking like lumps I told the man (they kept switching people also which didn't seem right to me) & he said it would be filed away. I was patient and they seemed better after filing but now I can see they're still too thick and also! It looks like they're already grown out because they didn't put the acrylic far back enough. It's not blended on any nail and they're all too thick and look overgrown when it's only been one day. MY FRIEND. Got gems on her nails and 2 have already fallen off and her also aren't fully filled in. Every salon I've been to makes sure the cuticles are pushed back to properly blend the acrylic to the real nail but this place didn't do that & seemed offended when I wanted something fixed. While I was there someone also came in saying the false $50 eyelash extensions were hanging off her face. I'm so disappointed and I wish I didn't go there but lesson learned. I'm never this critical and picky but I've also never had this bad of an experience. I wish I could get my money back.

Got the sns nails and love it, the lady was very kind and took her time to make sure they came out good. It's healthy for your nails and also only $35 which is the same price for a full set

Since my go to nail salon closed down in the Bronx, I have been searching for another. I've been all over. On a trip to visit my family in Norwich, I decided to get my nails done out of sheer desperation. On suggestion from my cousin I went looking for the place she goes to. Instead I found Lily. I LOVE this place. My nails looked fabulous. Gel tips were amazing and the technician was awesome. Yes it's in another state but I am willing to go up there every few weeks to visit family AND get my nails done. They are awesome! The pricing is competitive. The color selections are great. Lots of other treatments. Don't go; RUN to Lily's!!! You won't regret it.
