As a first timer at Bliss, I seriously could not feel any more relaxed. The amount of nail colors to choose from was beyond out of this world, it was truly fabulous! My friend got a manicure and pedicure, and I got a pedicure. Mind you, I very rarely get my toe nails done - because I'm super ticklish and it's a sensory thing. I chose to step out of my comfort zone and get a pedicure. So glad I did! Despite the feeling of having the bottom of my feet scrubbed the entire process from beginning to end was very soothing. The big massage chair is a plus, I have lower back issues and the relief I got was stellar! Purple is my absolute favorite color - so of course that's the color I chose for my pedicure. My usual go-to for manicures is a woman. For my pedicure, I had a male employee and that does NOT bother me at all. He was very attention to detail and made my experience a good one. Hard working for sure! I'd like to even point out that when my Yeti tumbler fell off the side table attached to the massage chair (due to the back massage taking place) he cleared off some space on the shelving used drying a pedicure and allowed me to put my Yeti there. To top it off, he would stop very few minutes and ask if I'm alright (the employee noticed I was in a little bit of pain, my left ankle sprain did not heal properly). This will not be the last time I set foot into Bliss Nails & Spa! It's gonna be my go-to for pedicures (and manicures if the woman I go to is unavailable). When my friend and I showed up (5 minutes early by the way), we were told that they gave the appointment to two other girls that they just assumed had made the reservation and they could no longer take me. WTF? Absolutely will never go back. What's the point of taking appointments if you don't stand by your word and check people in? There was ZERO sympathy, it was just oops, tough luck. No compensation or any remorse, everyone just looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders, and went about their day. Extremely unprofessional.

She went through multiple different times looking for anything she missed or that wasn't perfect and my nails came out the best I've had in years. Prices: could not find this anywhere since there's no website or Yelp info. Manicure is $12 excluding tax and tip. Pedicure is $30 excluding tax and tip. Manicure and pedicure is $42 (so no discounts if you get both). Environment: no strong chemical odor which was surprising given that place is small and doors are closed. Had a nail drying desk on the right when you walk in. 6 or so pedicure massage chairs. Left is 6 manicure stations where some are arranged in an L-shape so they have two people working with one customer, one doing left hand and other one on the right hand. Thought that was new and efficient. Kind of feels crowded/small since they've got a lot of stuff/clutter. Service: friendly people, fast service for sure as I didn't see anyone who had to wait but also due to everyone making appts. Observed that nobody really talked to each other; ladies who work there know little English. Fairly calm environment with the music and tv in background. I wish this place met/exceeded my expectations given that it's near my new home. I may still go to my other regular Vernon nail place given that they're at the same price and I'm more familiar with people there. Relatively speaking, this place is decent but I'd drive 20 minutes to my other place as its a completely different vibe- more spacious, open, airy, feels higher quality for service for same buck, and more professional. I've recommended that place to many friends who also love it there. May not do the same for this place. I was also disappointed that my nails smudged/chipped on the way out since it didn't dry completely even though they've dismissed me from the drying and put final oil on top of the nails. Pros: love the online appointment feature; I love even more the armrest for manicures - I've never seen this anywhere else and it is soooo comfortable (see photo) that I almost fell asleep; the nail tech was super helpful in finding a popular and seasonal color for both my gel nails and regular pedicure. Cons: color selection is pretty limited; the nail tech cut into skin while cutting the cuticle of my big toe until I put a stop to it; the pedicure chair is uncomfortable and either needed to be brought forward more or I needed a pillow; the positioning of my foot during the pedicure caused foot cramps, which I have never had in many years of pedicures; the tech did not put the cuticle oil anywhere near my cuticles, it was on my 1st knuckle where it's not doing what it's used for; absolutely no back massage at any point.

When I came, I was told that was not the appointment I made. I have been getting my nails done for over 2 decades so I know that I said "full set with gel builder and a pedicure"multiple times when I was scheduling the appointment. Those are the services I get. I thought it was strange that only 3 people were working on a Saturday afternoon. The woman who was greeting customers kept going to talk to someone giving another customer a pedicure. (Full disclosure: I speak Spanish) I asked if there was a problem and she said she was going to start my nails. She cut my cuticles and filed my nail beds and then moved me to a pedicure chair because I was moving to get a pedicure. They moved me to a chair right next to someone and my keys, phone, and wallet needed to stay in my lap because the chairs were so close together only 1 side table could be up at a time. I was not shown a pedicure menu or asked what type of pedicure I wanted. At 2, my pedicure was done and I was told it was going to be longer until my nails were done. I decided I had enough and said just the pedicure is fine. They give a back massage through a plastic bag while your nails are drying. Will not be coming back.

The service provided by the male technician was incredibly rough and unprofessional. He forcefully adjusted my arm without asking and burned my fingers with nail glue. Despite informing him three times that it was burning, and knowing that nail glue should not cause a burning sensation, I was told to 'be patient.' He also excessively filed the skin around my fingers, causing irritation that is still happening hours later and I even told him it was getting irritated while he was filing. He also repeatedly slipped with the nail file, catching it jabbing under my nail, without offering any apology. Overall, this was a highly unpleasant and concerning experience. Given the lack of care and professionalism, I would strongly advise others to visit the nail place "Sugar Nails" which is only a minute away.

Mike may not smile a lot, but he doesn't not not allow you to pick a specific technician. There were times when I would call and he would tell me that they would not be available for the day I picked, but they were the next day. I've in customer service and you cannot please everyone. One thing I know is that Mike is an owner and he works hard. Could he smile more, yes, but I've seen him open up to me and a few other regulars. I've never loved getting my nails done more in a place where everyone sees you and smile, even though they're wearing mask, you can tell. Oh, and my technician also talks to me about everything in life and when I have a question about getting Mike and my technician talk to me about it. There are maybe a handful of technicians with this stellar skillset. I got a gift certificate to this place right after we were allowed to go outside again after the pandemic. Had just a basic gel manicure and a pedicure and fell in love. They give you really nice massages and the atmosphere is relaxing. Again, they strive to have you in and out without having you feel rushed - because let's be honest, everyone's time is valuable. The facility is very clean, and they are sure to ask you all the questions you'd expect; nail length, shape, size - right down to double checking your color. It's important to note that they book up really fast, and very rarely have time for walk-ins because of this.
