My nail tech (Anna) was super detail oriented and thorough, and she was incredibly friendly too, which is surprisingly not the norm in my experience. I think I should say first that my nails look very nice. The result of my visit was good. My time there, not so good. The person who was given the task of doing my nails clearly did not want to. Reluctantly proceeded with out any polite conversation at all. Not that I need to carry on a conversation, but a good morning, how are you would have been nice. Or an acknowledgement to my comment when I said that the Gel Lamp felt like it was burning my finger nails off. Nope! Just attitude the entire time. I went a few days ago saw Jimmy and had full set out on that were beautiful.. the length didn't work for me so I came back 5 days later to have them cut down. I was told to make an appt so I called back and made an appt for 5:00 to have my nails cut down. No problem, made the appt for same day after I got out of work. When I got there I was told to wait.. no problem. The when my trim the woman had absolutely no idea what I was lookin g for ( just wanted them cut down) was told I would need a polish change also.. ok I guess I get it.. when the woman started to cut my nails she didn't like that I wanted them cut down or understand that I wanted them shorter.. she had her associate look and translate and then proceeded to look at my nails and laugh.. LAUGH .. also had another worker come over and say something to her while shou g her my nails and laugh.. Rude. Was then told oh u don't need polish change no shaping just cut down. Mind you I had no problem paying. It to basically cut them and throw a top coat.. I'll do it. Initially, I was going to this place and I really liked how Jimmy did my nails. However, it's not really a place where you can get a certain shape like you see on Instagram etc. They do well but other places are better. When I switched to a nail technician, we found water mould growing in my nail. This was overlooked by the staff here. Every time I went to get a fill, it was just filled over and not picked off first. I'd say to be extra cautious when dealing with them so this doesn't happen to you. First time I went - phenomenal. My nails lasted three weeks with tips, no breaks/cracks. I'm not crazy hard on them since I work a desk job. Second time - not great. Less than 3 days after, I had 4 nails chip and cracks. 9 days after I have 9 chips and cracks. I messaged them on the 4th day to have see if I could have them fixed, and never received a response. I have been looking at this nail salon for a year now and was hesitant to go. I had a day off from work and called on a whim, they were able to fit me the same day. I'm sure that doesn't happen on a regular basis since you can see they are always busy. My first time experience was amazing! I very very pleased with my pedicure and my gel manicure. Horrible. I got a dip taken off and put back in my real nails. The girl didn't know how to properly cut my nails and now my nails aren't the same shape and size. They had no dip colors and the women kept trying to get me to do acrylic instead of dip like I wanted. She couldn't do a simple design and now I spent an ridiculous amount of money and I hate my nails. The first time I went there my nails were done perfectly with Marla. The second time Linda did my nails and I had an appt with her but she didn't care. She was very disappointed and complained that she had another appt in an hour and didn't know about my appt. I informed her that it was made 3 weeks prior, the scheduler told her, and she said ok. Well that didn't matter to her because it wasn't in her book. She rushed through my nails, was rough with my hands, did not listen to me when I tried to tell her how I wanted my nails done, and did my nails unevenly. She was very agitated to have to help me, and even though I had an appt before her first client I did not matter. The third time I came back to Marla who ONLY works Thursday-Saturday. I asked her to make my gel nails thick like she did the first time. She did not. I didn't realize how THIN they were until a week later my nail cracked in the middle of my finger nail. I had to cut the excess nail down and band aide it up. After that, one by one my nails started chipping off and the gel polish started coming off. I have never ever had that to happen to my nails. My toes were gelled too and they started cracking. Ohhh and the scheduler had a problem with me making my next appt. She said she didn't book 3 weeks out because people cancel. I told her I had twice before and that I didn't cancel those appts. She told me to just call when I want to come in again. Never again will I go back!! read more

Experience #2 I'll be the first one to admit that I have some interesting eyebrows. I was born that way. THIS is why I need a specialist. What, I don't is need a woman to keep pointing at my brows and telling me how messed up they are and how she could fix them. not cool. Experience #3 Tonight. I waited 15 minutes. I made an appointment about five hours prior and gave them my number. It would have been nice if they called me and tell me they are running 15 minutes late. I got stuff to do. They are famous for being extremely slow. Then it was time to pay for the bill. It went up a couple of dollars. I expressed my concern and the owner Ann looked at me as if I were crazy and broke down the price to me. I paid and slightly irritated walk out the door. There is a sign outside stating mani-pedi $35. I know the gel a little extra but there's no way it is $50 ! Not even with tax. I'm sorry I'm done with this place. I decided to give this place a try after reading all the yelp reviews. I called and made an appt for a pedicure and fill, no particular technician. When i walked in i was greeted and told to pick a polish. As i did i couldnt help but start singing their music!!! It was awesome, they played some Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey... ooh i love it! My pedicure overall was relaxing, although the nail tech was a bit rough while nipping my cuticles, but my toes look great! I ended up getting a whole new set, my choice. My nails are perfect! I never write reviews, but I'm someone that is religious about getting acrylic fills and pedicures. I'm from New York and ever since I moved to Connecticut, I haven't found a place that has made me this happy all around. I had Anna do my acrylic fill, and she did an amazing job. Shaped them nicely and painted them to perfection. Shape/filing and the paint job itself are huge for me, so I was thrilled to say the least. Helen did my pedicure. Amazing job. She really got in the areas that are important and was sure to make my feet feel clean and pretty. Great job shaping the nails and painting. Very good work! I've been all over the area and this salon is great. It was clean, organized, and the pedicure was top quality. My technician spent extra time making sure everything was perfect. This was a perfect treat during my lunch break. I left feeling refreshed, and so did my feet. The nail salon is a little hard to see from the road because it's wedged between a gas station and the entrance to a shopping center. The sign is tough to see from the road as well, but if you turn into the shopping center the salon's parking lot is off to the left. The salon itself isn't too big and doesn't feel like a typical nail salon-- it's definitely more cozy though. It was surprisingly crowded in the middle of the day with 5 other customers there, but I was still seen almost immediately as a walk in for my pedicure. The staff was pretty quiet and focused on their work, but also very sweet and friendly. They asked me what I wanted each step of the way, including cutting, filing, sanding, etc. I was quite pleased with the service overall and the price was $25 +tax for a pedi with all the works (even included callus removal, hot stone leg massage, and buff for my nails). Don't forget to ask about their rewards card. You can get $5-$7 off after your first several visits. Next time I need a good pedi in the area, I would definitely return here for another satisfying visit. read more
