I think that you should take the last two recent reviews with a grain of salt (considering each had less than 10 reviews). Yes - I agree with some of the others that the nail salon is "plain looking" but when I go and get my nails done all I really care about is that it is clean, the people in there are professional, and they do a good job on my nails. Sera Nails - checked all the boxes in my book. AND funny enough - they have just changed owners. I was surprised to find this out as I randomly needed my nails done and headed here after work. The new owners used to own Hyacynth Nails in Rocky Hill and it was my random venture into Sera Nails that lead to this discovery. Yes - my nail tech did not speak much English but she did a good job and even changed my gel color when I realized after the first coat that I did not like it. I also loved the mini massage and paraffin wax at the end - extra touches that will make me revisit Sera Nails in the future! read more

This place is incredibly clean and I called ahead to see how busy they were before just walking in. Coming in they listened when I told them my nails had been messed up just days before by a place I went to in NYC for a manicure. At Seras I got a mani(gel) and pedi. Feels and looks AMAZING. Asked for my pedicure to have nails only filed and square, she filed them so short they hurt and they are rounded Not square. Look totally silly, no one speaks English. Had to ask her to buff my heels and ball of foot. Worst pedicure I've ever had, had to rebuff myself and can't wait for toenails to grow out. Also didn't polish to the nail bed, they look like a 3 week grow out already, repolished myself too. read more

Tony and Joanne his wife are doing a wonderful job of reviving this nail salon. Everything is done right, great customer service, extremely sanitary, a nice touch of adding neck and back massage and paraffin wax on the manicures. Joanne's attention to detail is exceptional. This salon is just as expensive as the nicer salons in town, but the salon is always empty so I often come here because I can always get in. I called today to see what time they close - they said 7pm. I showed up at 6:30 for a manicure and they turned me away because they were closing in 30 minutes, despite there only being one customer midway through a manicure at the time. I think that's ridiculous - why say you close at 7 but refuse business starting at 630 (or earlier!?) I used to come here a lot but I'm at another nail salon in town, which also closes at 7, and I won't go back to sera. read more

Do not go to this nail salon. Save your money for better service. I went to this salon on 10/5/18 and had a full set done by a nail tech by the name of Jenny at the cost of 60 dollars. When I woke up the next morning 10/6 the nail was broken. I went back with my receipt to get it fixed and the tech was full of attitude. After starting on my nail, another customer walked in and Jenny told me I had to wait now that she had a customer since the new customer was a paying customer. It took everything in me not to walk out but after paying 60 bucks the day before, I wasn't going to go to another salon and get charged to fix the broken nail. Horrible customer service. For that price you can get much better service somewhere else. read more

If you want dip nails do not go here. They only had about 10 colors to choose from and they completely came off within the first week. I didn't even want to go back to have them fixed because all the other colors were ugly in my opinion. I would highly recommend AGAINST going to Sera Nails in Glastonbury. Very highly actually. From the moment I walked in (with my mother) they were nothing but rude and unwelcoming. If the rudeness was not enough, when I described what I wanted the woman told me that my full acrylic set would cost $65... A mere $25 more than the listed price and about twice what I typically would pay. When I changed my mind to a simple manicure due to this overcharge, I was thanked with a huff and a storm off which promptly caused me to do the same. Straight out of the store. So if you're looking for bad prices and even worse service, this is the place. But I wouldn't recommend Sera Nails in the least read more

This place gives the best pedicures hands down, it's clean, they are very sanitary, the chairs all work in the massage function. The staff is friendly, they take their time. A regular pedicure is 30$ which includes paraffin wax treatment,hot rocks foot massage,and oil treatment for your cuticles... while you wait for your toes to dry you get a nice back rub, I tell ya if your looking to relax and get your feet treated well come here..it's 30$ well spent.. pay in cash.. read more

I needed my shellac color changed. Didn't want paraffin wax or need cuticles or massage. Just new color. They said $30 because they needed to charge for a manicure. I was desperate so I agreed. Ended up 31.95. They should have discounted since I didn't need a full manicure but they charged more than quoted. Not worth it at all. I stopped getting my nails done a long time ago due to finances, and just plain not having the time since I adopted my grandbabies. My daughter was getting married so it was a necessity. Three of us got gel polish. It is supposed to last a couple weeks and be soaked off. Three days and it chipped off my grand daughter. My daughter and myself, find it to look like it's globbed on and my cuticles look very rough. Also, they laughed at my daughter when she asked for a design on a couple of her nails. I used to enjoy this place but had stopped going. I decided to stop in today to get a pedicure before heading out on vacation and was a little disappointed. I am not sure if management changes but it sure seemed like it with the new ATM machine. I didn't use it as I've never trusted the nail salon gimmicks of no fee/reduced few for use. The pedicure was decent but I have certainly had better for $30 (I had tried the pricer spa pedicures in the past and they were definitely not worth it). I tried this place for the second time and should not have given them benefit of the doubt. Gel manicure, no manicure. My cuticles look like they weren't even touched. The times I pointed out that old polish was still on the edge of my nail. Had French and can see old polish on two fingers along edge of nails. Unfriendly. I say if you're paying more for your service than all the surrounding salons you should be doing a whole lot better. I thought the first time I went I was rushed through because salon was busy. It was ok. Just ok. Not great and not terrible. The guy who did my pedicure was kind of rushed though. When my toes were drying he was outside smoking so I guess I know why he rushed. Lol. But seriously there are many other choices in the area and all are about the same price. $30 for the pedi. Note: if you do decide to come here you will not have to pay tax if you pay cash. I was told my cost would be $31.91 if I payed with my card but only $30 if I payed with cash. I did not have cash so he told me the atm machine only charges .50. He was very pushy. Well I fell for it to save a $1.41 and guess what? My bank charged me $2.50 to take the money out. I never should have tipped him 20% on top of it. Won't be back. Sigh. read more

I've been going here for years and recently this place has really gone down hill. My pedicure was the worst I've ever received and so rushed. I was burned by hot oil on my legs and now have blisters, after my pedicure my toes were bleeding and they didn't even scrub my calluses. My gel manicure was also rushed and my nails were left uneven and bumpy on the tops. Won't be returning. read more

The guy made my bleed several times and said I was being a baby??? The polish it uneven and dull, no shine. I'm not sure why you'd go here. Had a walk in manicure which was terrible. Tech spent a lot of time, but nails were cut way too short, no shape, and polish very thick & sloppy. I've been going here for a while and I see it slipping in service. The woman who I believe is the owner is always very rushed and usually talking loudly and as if she is irritated. She's speaking Korean -- I believe- so not sure what she is saying, but she always seemed annoyed and very rushed. It's NOT relaxing at all. Last time she skipped the 'wax' dip and massage too. She is probably preoccupied with the business but it's been happening too much. The man with the pony tail does not do a complete job on the manicure either.
