Every nail tech here is very friendly, gentle and does a beautiful job on my nails. Rita has recently been my nail tech and she is super sweet and pays very close attention to detail! Each time I leave here I am more surprised than the previous time at what a good job she has done! My favorite pedicure to get is the gold spa pedicure because you get a long calf/foot massage, hot stone massage and they cover your calves with this gold lotion which is very relaxing. Manicure and pedicure is $42 (so no discounts if you get both). Environment: no strong chemical odor which was surprising given that place is small and doors are closed. Had a nail drying desk on the right when you walk in. 6 or so pedicure massage chairs. Left is 6 manicure stations where some are arranged in an L-shape so they have two people working with one customer, one doing left hand and other one on the right hand. Thought that was new and efficient. Kind of feels crowded/small since they've got a lot of stuff/clutter. Service: friendly people, fast service for sure as I didn't see anyone who had to wait but also due to everyone making appts. Observed that nobody really talked to each other; ladies who work there know little English. Fairly calm environment with the music and tv in background. I wish this place met/exceeded my expectations given that it's near my new home. I may still go to my other regular Vernon nail place given that they're at the same price and I'm more familiar with people there. Relatively speaking, this place is decent but I'd drive 20 minutes to my other place as its a completely different vibe- more spacious, open, airy, feels higher quality for service for same buck, and more professional. I've recommended that place to many friends who also love it there. May not do the same for this place. I was also disappointed that my nails smudged/chipped on the way out since it didn't dry completely even though they've dismissed me from the drying and put final oil on top of the nails. Those are the services I get. I thought it was strange that only 3 people were working on a Saturday afternoon. The woman who was greeting customers kept going to talk to someone giving another customer a pedicure. (Full disclosure: I speak Spanish) I asked if there was a problem and she said she was going to start my nails. She cut my cuticles and filed my nail beds and then moved me to a pedicure chair because I was moving to get a pedicure. They moved me to a chair right next to someone and my keys, phone, and wallet needed to stay in my lap because the chairs were so close together only 1 side table could be up at a time. I was not shown a pedicure menu or asked what type of pedicure I wanted. At 2, my pedicure was done and I was told it was going to be longer until my nails were done. I decided I had enough and said just the pedicure is fine. They give a back massage through a plastic bag while your nails are drying. Will not be coming back.

I was very happy when I called to make an appointment and the woman on the front desk was kind, helpful and understandable. when I arrived the salon was clean, empty (but it was a Monday) and I liked the atmosphere, the light jazz was a good touch. I put up no argument and gladly opted for the most expensive spa pedicure. The tech nicked the top of my right toe (sensitive skin) with a nail file. luckily it didn't bleed but as the pedicure went on she sprayed my toes with pure alcohol several times and wow that burned. as an industry professional she should have been using something like sea breeze (it would have been ok only to wipe the nail with alcohol not spray it over the tops of the feet. it progressed when (and this happens almost everywhere) she violently exfoliated my legs with scrub. I'm not here to solicit free advice but scrub does the work on its own, a gentle touch is all you need. I don't want to have my skin scrubbed off: again. ow! The massage was hurried, and missed the key sensory points -- all I can say is there shouldn't be any rushed or hurried movements in the spa industry, to be blunt the massage just didn't feel good, it also lacked pressure. I skipped my manicure all together, but the tech redeemed herself on the back massage as I was drying which delivered the pressure and key tension spots but overall I don't know if I would go back. Nothing was cozy about Cozy nails. Wouldn't even call it a spa. I had to ask for gel polish & the employee put on such a thick layer of gel it is almost tacky feeling and it dents/imprints easily. The employees spoke to the other employee and said the UV light wasnt working correctly, so dont use it on the next customer. That's why my polish isnt right. Not only that but their tips go in a "tip bucket" with their name on it instead of their own pockets ... why??? Just why?? Let me give my cash tip directly to the employee and not the bucket. It's $25 for a full manicure, gel polish, and neck and hand massage with the peel off wax that goes on your hands, complete with a nice hot towel.
