My fiancé and I decided to try this place out for acrylics for me and pedicure for him. He ended up getting the deep sea pedicure which was amazing and relaxing. I got Acrylic set with gel. Made an appointment at this salon for my first time, my appointment was scheduled for 315, when I walked in I advised the staff I had an appointment and I was just stared at. No one greeted me or assured me that someone will be with me shortly. I ended up sitting there for 45 minutes and not being acknowledged at all. I ended up walking out and will never return due to very poor service. The parking situation is also extremely horrible. read more

I walked in and the lady nicely greeted us. She gave us a paper to fill out to make sure that we understood their COVID-19 policies which was fine. I asked her for something very simple (Shown in picture). I got something no where near close to what I asked for (Also shown in picture). The yellow is not what I had asked for even thought they had it and she insisted it was the closest to it they had. She suggested that the green in the reference photo was a nude and put that on my thumb without asking and then I asked for more of a green and she gave me a dark green. She originally had a moon gem picked out but she put it back and decided to free hand paint it and it looked nothing like the picture. There was gel polish all over my fingers, she pressed way too hard when pushing back my cuticles and even made me bleed on some spots when cutting them off. Going in, my nails were not this short. She filed them down so much and too hard on one of my fingers and cut under my nail because of it. The gel is painted on way too thick and doesn't even go all the way to the sides at some spots. Nail spa connection is the best nail salon in all the Norwich and New London area! They take pride in what they do and their cleanliness is amazing! They sterilize all the Instruments constantly! They do all the current trends in nails and have a wonderfully wide variety of polishes and designs to choose from. Trish does an amazing job on nails! All the girls there are friendly, nice and personable they all do wonderful pedicures! I have never had such a poor experience at a nail salon. I made a reservation earlier this week for a mani/pedi for today at 3:30. I showed up exactly on time, and was made to wait until 4:00 to start with the pedicure. Understandable, I definitely get that things do not always run on time. The pedicure is fine, it takes about 45 minutes. Then, the nail tech tells me that she won't be able to do my manicure because she has other appointments. At this point, I'm very confused, I'm not sure if she is asking me to reschedule, telling me I need to wait, or telling me I'm cancelled all together. So I ask this, and she calls across the room to see how long I would have to wait and the other nail tech shrugs and says 35 minutes. After realizing that I was deciding between just calling it on the mani or deciding if a 2.5-3 hour mani/pedi (with having an appointment) was worth it, I ultimately I decided to pay for the pedi and leave. I am still just flabbergasted at the whole experience and will not be returning due to extremely poor customer service. Follow up: I called another salon, Nail Plus, who ended up being fully booked for the day. However, when I explained my situation and that I was leaving for my honeymoon, the owner was extremely sweet and accommodating, and even fit me in after business hours. So we called this morning my best friend and I am made appointments for 230. Two pedicures side-by-side. We arrive at 2:30 and we were seated immediately. I could already tell they were going to be short on staff. There were two women across from us having pedicures but only one was having the pedicure done while the other waited. The nail tech comes over and sits down and starts doing my girlfriends pedicure while I wait. 40 minutes later I'm still waiting. The girl straight across from me is still waiting too. I dried off my feet and put my boots back on. They asked if I change my mind. I told them no, but my time is valuable too. It's now 3:15 and my appointment was at 2:30. I explained that they should've told us when we walked in they could not do us at the same time. This exact same thing happened last year, and I never went back. Thought I would give them another chance today. Will never go there again. read more

I was an acrylic girl until my coworker introduced me to this hidden gem. The atmosphere is so relaxing. The color scheme and the soft music makes you want to just take a nap while they do your nails. It has a spa like vibe to it. Their speciality is gel. My favorite thing about Nail Connection is the quality of their polishes and their work. My polish lasts until i need a color change which is usually every 3 weeks. Their color selection consists of top notch brands and there's OPI galore. I got introduced to their cool color changing nail polish here as well, something that's become more popular over the past few years but is hard to find. They also update their colors almost weekly and put different displays out based off the holidays/seasons current or approaching. They overall just know what they're doing. They also do a paraffin wax or a hot rock treatment for only $5 extra when you get a pedicure and when you get a mani they do free paraffin wax on your hands as well. Leaves my skin super smooth! When you come here they will not disappoint. I swear by this place! I drive 25 minutes just to get my nails done here when there's nail spots on every corner downtown in the town I live in.
