Second time dining at Lilia. It was just as good as 2 years ago but with higher prices! We snagged a 645pm easy and were able to get seated a bit earlier. I ordered a vodka martini and it was great. For our food, we shared the: -housemade mozzarella on toasted bread -mussels in herb butter -Black Sea bass with roasted potatoes -French onion ravioli -agnolotti -warm apple tart for dessert Everything was absolutely delicious. The sauce from the pastas was so good - i should've asked for some more toasted bread to soak up the sauce! The fish (a bit small) was cooked perfectly. The dessert was served warm and was perfectly sweetened. My favorite part of the meal was the pasta of course - can't go wrong with anything here! Service was also great. Our water was always filled.

Went to Lilia for Valentine's Day and had a great experience! We ordered the housemade mozzarella, scallops, mussels, agnolotti, and lamb leg steak to share. Everything was delicious. The Italian Job for dessert was great too. I've never had olive oil and fennel pollen on gelato before, so was pleasantly surprised by how well it all blended. The service was great! She was super friendly and attentive throughout the night.

I have been here several times now and everytime I have had a great experience. Food and service are excellent. One dish that I would like to highlight in this review is the caramelized onion balsamic ravioli which is just one of those dishes that makes you go damn that was amazing. Too bad its one of the seasonal items. Desserts are also wonderful. Tip if you cant obtain reservations through resy try emailing them .

Lilia is one of the toughest reservations to get in Williamsburg, so I was excited that my friend scored a resy via Amex Gold. Even then, we had bar seats but works for parties of two. To start off, the bartender/server started us off with some celebratory champagne that was quite nice. We also each had a cocktail: Manhattan ($23) and Milano Sour ($21). The drinks are pretty, yet classy. When we ordered our food, a number of the dishes we wanted were out --it was an unlucky night for us. We ended up ordering the Mozzarella Toast ($18), Mussels ($22), and Kombucha Squash ($21) to start. The mozzarella is nice, but nothing too special. The mussels were bright and refreshing with a nice green herb butter served in such a unique way. The squash was also quite unique and highly recommended by our server, which was super flavorful. It had a nice meaty texture with sweet and savory notes. Then came our main pastas: Agnolotti ($31) and Mafaldini ($28). I usually love a cacio e pepe, which was their version using mafaldini noodles. This was just ok, but the agnolotti really blew my mind. The sheep's milk cheese stuffed in the agnolotti was so velvety and luscious. This was something so new for my taste buds. Definitely recommend and suggest sharing two pastas for texture and flavor variety. To end the meal, we got the Italian Job ($15), which was one of the best soft serve vanilla gelato topped with olive oil, honey, sea salt, and fennel pollen. It's pricey, but damn it's delicious! I have to say, there are some hits and some mediocre; but the ones that hit were so unique and delicious. Highly recommend the mussels, squash, agnolotti, and Italian job. Trust me, you have room for the Italian Job at the end of your meal!

Service was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Ambiance was casual and cute. The food was very good! We tried the mozzarella, artichoke, the bread, 3 pastas, and 2 desserts- all items were very good!

Not worth the hype. For what Lilia is suppose to be, I think it fell short. They do give you a lovely dining experience but I don't think the food is worth the price. The bread was very crispy and the butter was delicious. The clams were a bit chewy. The sheep's milk pasta was a bit too cheesy, but the soft pillowy texture was luxurious. The beet pasta had a light sweet flavor. The fettuccine was pretty standard but good noodle texture. The chicken was actually the stand out dish! Very garlicky. All this to say the while the food is good, it just doesn't live up the hype of what really really elevated Italian should taste like. They were very accommodating of allergies and had the chef mark up a menu on what was dairy free vs what could be made dairy free.

I wish I read the reviews before I came... I've had better for less. Dining at Lilia is more about the experience than the food. Expect great waiters, with table cleaning in-between courses, and romantic candle-lit vibes. The staff treat you well, not a surprise given the final bill at the end. Spent almost $100 each person, and left still hungry. Food was mediocre at best.

I usually hear people going before they open to get a table, and was so excited that I was able to reserve online! The staff were nice and helpful with deciding our orders, and we were glad that we did not skip on the focaccia! I was way too full afterwards, so I think the 2 of us could've just gotten one pasta instead of 2 (or just one appetizer)!

Reservations are hard to get but luckily I was able to snag one through my Amex Platinum card for Resy nights! They go out quickly too because I signed up right as they opened and the earliest dinner available was 8:45pm at the bar. My friend and I shared everything which is what I would recommend doing. My favorites were the Sheep milk pasta, mussels and gelato. Everything else we had was tasty too including the other popular pasta, mozzarella and squash. I was a little sad that they ran out of 2 of the dishes we originally wanted but our waiter had good humor about it. It was funny cause he came back two separate occasions to say they ran out, to the point where we joked he was pushing his squash agenda lol

Way too overhyped, I would not recommend. You could find comparable quality Italian food at so many other places in New York at a fraction of the effort that it takes to get a reservation here. This is a bit of a late review on my part as I dined here during summer but it's a review that I wanted to leave nonetheless. Lilia is a very famous restaurant, it is on the best 100 NYC restaurants list according to the New York Times and it's super difficult to book. I was so excited to come here and I was expected to be blown away but I was not. I mean it was good but certainly not worth the hype. It probably didn't help that they don't have AC inside the restaurant. It was literally 95 degrees Fahrenheit in there, not that much better than outside in the blazing heat of New York summer. We kept having to ask the wait staff to refill our drinks with ice. Maybe it would have been better to come here during winter instead, but guess I will never know because I won't be coming back. They have a sister restaurant called Misi that is at least properly air-conditioned, and it's easier to book than Lilia, so just go there instead.

Pro tip- if you don't have a resy, go a bit before they open and they should have some bar seating available. TLDR: good to try, not sure if I'd go out of my way to try again Food: 3.8/5 I was expecting more from all the hype. Everything was good base level...wouldn't get the balls in the photo again (I think it was an appetizer) Ambiance: 5/5 Went on a rainy day, great vibes for a date or solo dining Service: 5/5 Very attentive, knew wine pairings well

Excellent pasta! Hands down the showstopper is the pasta and everything else is just sitting on the sidelines to happily compliment the pasta. The vanilla ice cream dusted with fennel pollen was equally good as the pasta. Of course, I'd be happy to order what we had here again. We sat at the bar and was happy with the quick service. The ambience was good. I'm not sure if I paid much attention . The space was enjoyable but the food was really the focus.

Food is decent but pretty pricey for what it is. I'd personally come here for ambience over anything else. good for dinner dates or treat your parents to a nice night. Presentation of dishes and cutlery is elegant. Surprisingly the bathroom doesn't really match the quality of everything else. It's a bit dank in there. spent $85 pp for 5 dishes which was the recommended number for 2 people. We were stuffed! I'd recommend around 3 dishes which is what I got with my brother the first time around but my friend this time was ravenous for her dinner even thought it was only 4pm. Got the classic mafaldine and agnolotti. The mussels were pretty but nothing crazy tastewise. I like the focaccia topping the most out of anything. The kabocha squash was surprisingly good. Not quite worth fighting for a reservation but a guaranteed spot for a comfortable night.

Can you sit at the bar and order from the dinner menu?

Yes, and there is also new outdoor seating.

How is accessibility for someone with a wheelchair?

I know that the Caffé is easily accessible by someone in a wheelchair. The restroom is also easy to go to as it's on the ground floor of the main restaurant. I am not sure about the restaurant itself. I also think that the outdoor seating of the… Read more

How do you get a reservation? Do they open reservations at a certain time on Resy?

Yes! Best way is about 3-4 weeks in advance, select the date you want to go and open yourself up to all hours then hit "notify".

How do reservations work? If you look at their reservation link it just says it's booked up for months?

I think at the first of the month, you can make reservations for the month. Or stand in line at 5p for walk ins. It is totally worth the hassle!!

Do they have dairy free options?

Keep in mind that they don't modify anything on their menu, but there seems to be a few items that are dairy free on their menu

None of the pastas are gluten free

Is Lilia open tomorrow (Sept 3) during the Labor Day holiday?

What is the reservation system for this establishment? I tried Resy few times and it's always booked and only possible to check for less than 30 days ahead. Can anyone explain what's the deal?

Any info on Prices?

While pricey, definitely not excessive considering the quality of food and service. Entrees in the $20-$35 dollar range.

However, I was quickly proven wrong. Not only was the service topnotch, but the drinks were surprisingly delicious and refreshing. There's a ton of options which is also surprising considering the tap only format. Upon further reflection of how tiny the bar is, it makes sense why they would go this route. It would be challenging for one person let alone two to be behind that bar shaking and stirring. I also heard there's a back area with more seating but we didn't explore much further than the front bar stool seating. We were lucky to grab 2 seats at the bar as the rest of the seating actually seemed a bit cramped and uninviting. They advertise a heated back patio but I don't think the heat was on and no one was there, which is a bummer. Regardless, the theme is nice with everything attributable to their "laboratory" ambience. Everything is served in beakers or similar glasses. It can get a bit crowded sitting at the bar as that's where everyone orders drinks but otherwise this was quite enjoyable. Will definitely keep on the list for HH.
