I may be bias to this review because I'm from Hawaii, but they have Dole Whip!!!! Enough said lol Years ago you could only get it in Hawaii at the Dole cannery or Disney Magic Kingdom. This little shack has a little bit of everything Turkey leg, Ice Cream, floats just to mention a few. The attendant that helped us was friendly and encouraged my excitement for Dole Whip. Strawberry Lime swirl combo is a great choice (and my preference) if you have a sweet tooth, otherwise get the pineapple vanilla since it's also good but not as sweet. My husband & I loved this place! It was such a fun time going downtown to get a tasty vanilla treat in a waffle cone. The ice cream was light, had minimal dairy according to staff, & it was creamy. For some reason they have changed their recipe! We were so disappointed & will not be back. For the first time the ice cream tasted like soft serve crap, it was not creamy, & down right borderline disgusting. My husband & I almost threw the ice cream right in the trash. We ate it because we paid $10 for them. I don't understand why they would downgrade such a great product. I hope it was worth losing two customers. read more

Their menu is very limited however it's my go to spot for one thing: Dole Whip Float. Satisfies my Dole Whip craving without having to go to Disney. There are very few places that serve Dole Whip but fortunately for my mother & I, St. Augustine has a spot that serves it!! Every time we go to St. Augustine we go to lunch at Columbia's & then head over to Likit for the creamy & extremely flavorful pineapple Dole Whip. Get the ice cream just don't mind the bad service! This was the second time my husband and I were here. The first time was over the summer and they had more signs like in one of the pictures on here than they did today. Also, the first time we got the flavor bursts there were actually these little balls of flavor thought the swirled cone. Today they only had the flavor around the edging of the swirl. And we were a little annoyed that the sign said we could get vanilla or whatever flavor cones and yet the cashier said "well we can put it in a cup and then put a cone on top. We can't actually put it in a cone" well then why the hell does your sign say cones instead of cups?! And we never actually got our cones. Maybe their equipment changed over the last few months? With all that being said I am giving them 4 stars because the ice cream is amazing! I had the strawberry flavor bursts and it tastes exactly like strawberry Hershey's syrup and was great! And not the usual hand made, frozen custard we're used to from other local stores. Reading other reviews, I am really wondering if something was wrong with the Dole Whip machine when we stopped by this weekend. I was incredibly excited about getting a Dole Whipe, just like they have at Disney, but right from the get go, I could tell that it wasn't going to be. The Iced Cream they gave me was a very bright shade of yellow (much brighter than the Disney dole whips) and the texture was a lot grittier. To me, it reminded me more of a Sherbet than it did of iced cream, and definitely not smooth and creamy like Soft Serve Iced Cream. The flavor itself was also not the same as the dole whips in Disney. This one almost taste just like frozen pineapple juice. It wouldn't have been that bad, except, that if you advertise Doll Whips, your patrons come to expect them to taste like the Dole Whips that they are used to. Also, my daughter got a Vanilla soft serve cone, and something was really off about that. It was way too dense and tasted WAY too sweet IMHO. Even my 7 year old agreed that it was too much, and ended up throwing away most of the Soft Serve and just ate the cone. All in all, this place left me disappointed. read more

This sweets shop is located about halfway down St. George Street which cuts right through the Historic Downtown area. It's a walk up shop that serves ice cream, frozen yogurt and other cold sweets in various flavors. But beware, they run out of flavors and don't advertise this on the billboard. I bought a soft serve pineapple and strawberry. It was the most disgusting thing ever. I dont even want to call it an ice cream. There was nothing natural or creamy about the pineapple or the strawberry flavors. It all tasted like artificial flavors. Not sure what other yelpers are raving about. I'm a local that has lived in st. Augustine for 25 yrs. and I only support kind, courtesy, and friendly environment's. I ordered a dole pineapple and vanilla whip and it was great and worth the money, it came with a tiki umbrella , and it made my day. I also tried their fish and it was wonderful, tasteful and great amount for the price. I was helped by the guy's who are always friendly and honest, especially when it came to me ordering the fish basket, he asked me If i wanted to wait because it would take 10 minutes to Cook, I said sure and it was worth it, plus I love honesty! read more
