To start with they need to fix their seating -- very uncomfortable. We were on the road and decided to try this place which we passed on our travels for many years. After looking at the menu, I decided to order what my husband did -- grandmas meat loaf. Yuck. It wasn't very good, very dry and the serve it with a thick salty gravy. Thankfully I had the gravy on the side which they forgot and brought out later. The meatloaf was thick like a brick -- my sides were cole slaw and roasted root vegetables. I must say the root vegetables were excellent. The cole slaw was just cabbage mixed with a lot of miracle whip. We took home the meatloaf which we throw out the next morning. My husband agreed on the meatloaf and had cole slaw and mashed potatoes. He commented on how the potatoes were good and real. If I ever go back which I really doubt I know I would order only the root vegetables and maybe a side salad but not sure how that would come out. I am a self-professed diner snob and a huge fan of the diner concept. I guess somehow it is in My DNA, considering that I come from New Jersey. New Jersey is recognized as the diner capital of the world and since moving to Florida over twenty years ago, a diner is something that I truly miss having on every corner. The Lighthouse Diner is definitely a fixture in Jupiter, Florida. The vibe is definitely home town where the servers are friendly and attentive, the crowd in the restaurant can cause a pleasant hum of volume with their talking and just enjoying life and the food is definitely solid. I stop in here every time I'm in Jupiter. Love this place. My favorite is not on the menu. A breakfast sandwich of sausage eggs and cheese on their delicious biscuits. I also really like the grits, as a side or with shrimp. My kids love the waffles and home fries. After a hot day at the beach or on the river we will crush their amazing shakes. This was one of our favorite places for breakfast, But due to economics and health haven't been there in at least year , We loved the extra crisp grilled potatoes , the large plump sausages ,large pieces of extra thick crisp bacon fresh eggs, French toast .Today 12/13/025 arrived with almost no customers , Ordered scrambled eggs well done bacon ,grill potatoes for wife I ordered eggs over easy , French toast grill potatoes and asked waitress to make sure the Chef left the potatoes on the grill a little longer We got large cut boiled potatoes about 1/2 thick 2 .5 long , also asked for pepper and onions . pancake . I complained to the waitress about the pancake but said I would accept it. but we both wanted extra crisp grill potatoes. While waiting for replacement , while the pancake tasted good it was hard to cut with normal table knife, The potatoes that arrived were cooked in hot grease like French frys .I tired one piece of each potatoes . but left entire order untouched . We finally made it to the Lighthouse Diner and we were not disappointed. They had a busy breakfast crowd but there was no wait and plenty of parking. The service was great and so was the food. We enjoyed typical breakfast fare, eggs, grits, home fries, ham, toast, juice, coffee and fresh fruit. Everything came quickly and hot. The menu is extensive and it won't be long before we have lunch and dinner there. They have outdoor seating if you choose. Give it a try. read more

We arrived just before 2 PM and it was not busy at all. We were seated right away and service thought out was very good. The decor is very diner style and welcoming. The reason for the two stars is the food. I ordered a burger with just cheese and a side of fries, my husband had the lighthouse burger and fries. The fries were undercooked and bland, needed to add salt and pepper. My burger was bland and tasted like very low quality burger, my husband's was the same but he only noticed when he took a bite without the tomato and onions. I had to add a good amount of ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper to make mine edible. Prices are okay, on the high side for the low quality. read more

I've been going to lighthouse diner twice a week since 2014. As of 2021 the staff has changed and the food quality is not the same. On their menu back them stated fresh eggs, which were fluffy creamy eggs, but lately their eggs were dried and flat. Home fries tasted more like the potatoes were soak in water. My husband had the western omelette which wasn't the same. Further more, they had a dog with no leash. As you can see in the photo, owner was feeding it. Telling me it was a service dog. Rule 1, service dogs are working dogs with proper id and not be fed at the table. Restaurant had no sign regarding service dogs. I will never go there again read more

I am not sure exactly how I spent $70 for the most mediocre sad depressing breakfast. I've eaten in Jupiter and lived here for over 25 years. This is my first time actually going here for breakfast and somehow my bacon was rubbery and not crispy at all like it was baked in the oven and then left out under the heating tray. my toes had butter smothered all over it, so it was soggy by the time I got to it with my jelly, which didn't have any flavor. My eggs were not cooked properly for over medium and had a weird flavor to them. The sausage had also a strange taste and every time I asked for a water replacement, it had black spots in it like there was issues with the ice, not just the cleanliness of the cups. On top of that the home fries I thought we're gonna be crispy and delicious and those were the saddest things I've ever eaten with soggy potatoes with barely any flavor. our grits were watery and had a weird taste too. I've eaten here before, and it wasn't too bad for lunch, but I was definitely wanting to come back to try breakfast and I'll never go back. Even the pancakes were a shock. My kids would barely even touch their food and they usually eat everything. The only thing I could say was good was my four dollar coffee, which I was completely shocked at the price. read more

This is a cool flash from the past old fashioned diner. Eclectic decor with the lighthouse theme, tin type tables and booths. Nothing fancy or slightly pretentious here. This is our go to place in Jupiter Tequesta area for diner food. We like to come here for breakfast and lunch. Both are delicious and the service is quick and friendly. I love the Cobb salad which is my go to when I come. They have booth and bar seating which are both accommodating. Everything we have tried from the salads, eggs, pancakes, sandwiches and coffee have been fresh and delicious. This restaurant was one of my mothers very favorites. My sisters & I eat there every time they visit me in Jupiter. There menu has many comfort food favorites & just good old fashioned real food. The wait staff is always friendly and very attentive and the decor is like a classic old time diner. They are very busy on the weekends so you may have a little wait time to be seated then. When I have out of town company we always use that wait time to take pictures outside next to the cute murals painted on the outside of the building. You won't be disappointed. read more

I highly recommend the The Low Country Dish - it's essentially an alternative eggs Benedict that uses breaded tomato instead of the English muffin. The cucumber salad was good but not as fresh as I would've liked. You're better off sticking to bread & eggs here. My SO enjoyed the biscuits & gravy. The only reason I'm giving it four instead of five stars is because they forgot we were seated in the restaurant at the beginning so no one took our order for awhile. Fantastic brunch place close to the inlet! I've been here a few times when I come to FL to visit my family, and it's always great. Who doesn't love a diner with alcohol? My mimosa paired perfectly with my corned beef hash dish. The dish came with eggs and a Dijon sauce on top. My sister enjoyed her huevos Mexicanos dish and my dad loved the flavor of his Bloody Mary (I'll stick to my mimosa though, thanks). Service is always friendly and fast, I've never had an issue with service being slow at this location. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table either. There's also great & diverse menu options for anyone to enjoy (kids, vegetarians, people watching what they eat). I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch! read more

The renovated Jupiter landmark diner projects its original maritime, traditional atmosphere similar to its previous flair. The dining room booths are grey with white stripes. And they have a U-shaped counter which was originally there prior to renovation with plenty of stool seating. They have entertaining posters throughout the restaurant; mostly black-and-white photos of Jupiter are on the walls. And other interesting timeless photos of many old time favorites. I sat with a friend on a stool along their counter and enjoyed a Tuna Salad platter which was plentiful and very good. We saw this place while having lunch elsewhere the day before so decided to give it a try for breakfast while in town to check out the beaches and Jupiter Lighthouse. I had the Virginia ham & cheese omelette with grits and rye toast. (make sure to try their homemade berry jam) My spouse had the country breakfast hash, served in an iron skillet. It consists of beef brisket, redskin potatoes, apples, jalapeños, and topped with 2 fried eggs. He loved it! Both were exceptionally large servings. They also have daily specials. This place is clean and the sign at the hostess stand proclaims they have their latest health department inspection for your viewing pleasure! Want souvenirs? I must say I'm surprised there are positive reviews about this place - I even went a second time before I left this review just to make sure I didn't have an unusual visit the first time. Bottom line - the food is incredibly bland. The biscuits and gravy had a very weird flavor that was only out-done but it's blandness. There was a line to be seated. We were put on a list and seated about 10-15 minutes later. The booth had a torn seat and was a little sunken in. The server came and took our drink order quickly but returned and took the food order of another booth behind us even though we were there first and ready. Food came out quickly; I had a breakfast with eggs, french toast, potatoes, bacon and sausage. It was delicious but I never got any condiments for my food despite asking the food runners x 2. I got up and got syrup, ketchup and hot sauce from a dirty table. Halfway through the meal, the server checked back; I told her about condiments and asked her for coffee refill which she did get for me. Overall food was decent, service ok. I would go back and try it again. One other thing, the room temp was too high. Too hot and the ceiling fan in our area was not on, so it was a little uncomfortable. The busser needs to use less lysol cleaning spray. I appreciate clean and sanitized but the smell of the cleanser is too strong for dining customers. read more

My friend and I got there just before hordes of guests were showing up for breakfast, most with a tribe of kids. My friend ordered the Low Country eggs benedict, which I was told was pretty good, however, the coffee is very watered down and not very enjoyable to drink. I had the Hungry Man breakfast. The best thing was the eggs. The bacon was super greasy and the pancakes were literally glued to the plate. I had to use a knife to scrape them off the plate. Unfortunately, the worst of it was I had to throw out my toast due to "extreme thumbing" by the server. What a treat! Breakfast and lunch here in the same day! First off, almost everything they do here is homemade! That's a game changer for me! From the awesome bar tender who served us the Hungry Man breakfast with delightful light and fluffy scrambled eggs with English muffin and homemade mixed berry jelly to the stuffed French toast with the aforementioned jelly. Unbelievable! They do a homemade sausage too that's just to die for! Then my parents wanted to meet us there after church so we went for lunch. Took my wife for breakfast this morning on my sister in laws recommendation. The service was very good and friendly. My wife had simple bacon and eggs with tomato And some rye toast. She said it was excellent. I decided on pancakes. Now as someone who whips up a pretty good pancake himself, I'll say these were outstanding. They give you 2 for 6 bucks but they're huge! Very fluffy and tasty. The right texture. Many places over whip the batter, causing a tough pancake. I couldn't finish though because the portion size is just ridiculous. Worst breakfast I ever paid for; the gravy was bland and watery, the biscuits were dry, the eggs were chewy, and everything was under seasoned and room temp. The coffee was like water that they dumped the grounds in and it tasted like dirt. There was three people at our table and it took us an hour to get our food, the restaurant was not even at half capacity. We went on a Sunday around 11:00 am, everyone around us was talking about how good the food was so we were pretty excited for our food, and it was completely bland. Very impressed with Light House Diner. Went there today for a book club event with 20 other ladies. The servers were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
