I dropped by this afternoon for lunch. Expect g a different diner but I guess they didn't make it. So I was gonna try the 718 café and Grill. When you first walk in, the restaurant is very similar to the former diner that it was same set up seating wise, and the deserved case at the front as you walk in to tempt you However, that's about where the similarities ended. The host was walking in at the same time I was, he never said a word. Held the door like a true gentleman and ushered me inside. He then asked how many people and sent me very quickly but again he never said a word he just had this large smile on his face, which made you feel welcome. I wish I had gotten the name of my server. She was lovely, petite blonde lady, middle aged huge smile answered every question. I could possibly come up with even brought me a sample of the coleslaw in case I didn't care for it to go with my Cuban sandwich. I decided not to get the law law, and opted for sweet potato french fries instead a perfect add-on to my sandwich. They were late and crispy and full of flavor. My sandwich also absolutely delicious. I did ask for a little extra mustard and no fault to the restaurant totally my own. I ordered the wrong kind of mustard. I should've just gone with standard classic yellow mustard. I didn't that was all on me. It was still good. Don't give me wrong. Would I recommend the restaurant? Absolutely it was delicious. I might have to go back for breakfast soon. read more

Restaurant has been open about a month. Grand Opening set for Friday, January 9. Staff is new though experienced in industry. They need some time to become familiar with different menus & systems. Food was very good. My fried grouper sandwich crust was light & crispy. Bun was good too. My husband's veggie omelet was tasty. home fries well done on grill as requested. Desserts look delicious. 6-14-26 2:30pm , been there several times over the years . New owners did a very nice remodel. But since the then each time less and less customers when we came. Today there were only 2 other singles in the dining room. 1st asked waitress about wine list w/ info , said no, but gave a verbal description . We ordered and after saw a very nice drink placard with the info we were looking for. Then we overheard 2 waitresses and manager(?) discussing missing money from cash drawer, cash payment , maybe cashier did not give out correct money back ? Things they should not discuss in customer's ear-shot. Troubling that they can not count cash. Then soup arrived, no sign of any steam and was cold. Grabbed the next waitress that we saw and asked to have it heated. She returned , looked the same and she said she did not hear it but gave us a fresh cup..... it was the same cold, we sent it back. Then the Fish and Chips arrived, I had it several times here before, always very good, took 2 bites, crispy outside but inside was sloppy, mushy, not mince fish but I did not think I should eat any more of it. French Dip looked ok, but my aunt ate 1/4 of it and then asked me to taste. I had not told her about the fish yet. I took 1 bite and spike it out . Was like old, dried out beef. She was drowning it in the Au Jus but that was not going to help. She had order it many times before and was pleased on those occasions. This is the old Jersey Diner. Looks the same inside and out. Menu is much smaller. Enjoyed our dinner. Slightly better than diner quality. Service was very good. read more

Loved this local spot. They recently renovated and inside looks like a traditional Jersey or NY diner. Yum. But we went for dinner and instead went to the cool tiki bar outside that's dog friendly. Vicki was our bartender/server and was awesome. Super friendly and attentive and drinks were ice cold. Had a few drinks and some dinner. My husband had the French dip which is always hard because it loses the rareness so quickly. The bread and au jus were excellent but the meat itself was a little overdone. He said he'd probably get a club sandwich next time because it looked great. Loved the disco fries. My Astoria Gyro wrap was perfection. Seriously. Grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, tzatskiki - perfect! It was so nice sitting outside on a cool January night and again service was a 10! We can't wait to come back. read more

A mixed bag. Former "Jersey Diner" is clean and nicely renovated but the food needs a re-do, also. Not horrible, just not great. Warning: to those folks sre salt sensitive- much of our dinner was way too salty. On a plus note, the service was friendly and efficient. read more

The restaurant was clean and bright. Service was efficient although not overly friendly. The main problem was the food. Not awful but not worth a second visit. The chicken soup was the hit of the visit. The meatloaf was dry and drowned in canned mushrooms. Mashed potatoes were luke warm. The vegetables were soggy and seemed like they had been sitting around waiting for a bus. Maybe breakfast might be better, but not worth another 45 minute drive. read more

NY Style diner opened in tequesta! Food Service and atmosphere is excellent. Breakfast was so on point! Went back for lunch and to watch the games, the broadway fig panini was out of this world and the 718 Burger was incredible! Outdoor Tiki Bar with Music & tvs. Will Definitely be back! read more

Was very good. The time it took the food to come out was a little long but not going to hold that against a new place. The server Vlad was good and great attitude. Ambiance meh but overall def this place is an upgrade compared to the previous Jersey Diner. read more

First time we were here got Patty Melt's great lovely presentation Cole slaw, shredded lettuce with huge slices of tomato. Great service. Second time awful service Patty Melt's ok but just a few pickles and scant of coleslaw. Only one server in the entire restaurant. This place has seen me for the last time! read more

Really nice new spot. Breakfast was top notch and service was good. They're just getting started so I'm cutting them some slack there on the service but the manager was so friendly and treated us to dessert and coffee! Overall 9/10 experience! Ordered take out tonight and I was excited to try this new place, the grilled salmon dinner was supposed to be lemon dill it came as a small half piece with Cajun seasoning , four small broccoli pieces with zero seasoning. The salmon tasted awful. The "soup" was straight broth thrown into a styrofoam coffee cup, not a noodle or anything to the soup. A below par cobb salad with tasteless chicken, wet romaine and a small piece of sliced egg and small bits of avocado. You can't be serious with this? Major disappointment, awful food, awful service, very expensive prices for nothing. I've had NY diner food before and this is NOT it. Definitely skip this place!!! read more

Recently reopened in what was the Jersey Diner. No comparison. Our server was harried but kind. Many "workers" just walking around and not really helping her. The homemade mushroom soup was delicious. The chicken sandwich..... ehh. It was seasoned well, but had two slices of American cheese just dropped on top of the chicken. My companion had a burger & fries.... Nothing to write home about. The food took a LONG time to come out. Interesting to note that the person sitting behind us told the waitress that his food (some type of sandwich) was 'inedible' and covered in grease. So many other places that are solid in their quality & service. I hope this review would serve as a wake up call to the owner/manager, who was also just walking around without assisting anyone. read more
