Love, love, love this place!!! I'm not a coffee drinker, so the only thing I've had is the chai. The atmosphere is amazing inside. Everyone is so nice and because I've been there so often, I get greeted by name when I walk in. Even at their busiest moments, the entire crew works together as a team and have the best smiles on their faces. Their scones they have........ so delicious!!! Their baker is amazing!! Beautiful coffee shop with amazing local roasted ORGANIC only coffees. They even do farm direct coffee. Everyone is so friendly and are experts at their craft. They have several locations and really do have something for everyone from teas to coffees, smoothies & more. They bake all their pastries in house and make amazing quiches too! read more

The best thing here is a bagel with their cinnamon/honey/Brown sugar cream cheese - yum! The white mocha is also delicious! Their iced tea with peach flavor added is very refreshing, perfect drink for a warm day! The prices are better than Starbucks and the line much smaller. They also do a nurses discount! It was our first time here and it was amazing! We will be back here in the very near future. We were looking for a coffee shop that's close to where we live (it's only a mile and a half from us) that isn't a big corporation like Dunkins. The atmosphere is really calm, cute, and comfortable. The prices are average - not cheap but definitely affordable for a coffee shop. But the drinks are SO GOOD. But my boyfriend ordered a simple iced hazelnut latte and it was so smooth and creamy. I ordered a seasonal special drink - blackberry lavender white mocha - and it was also creamy. It's rich but very tasty! Love this place already! read more

Just moved to the Sparks / Spanish Springs Area. My husband and I moved from Roseville, As you know when u move things are a little misplaced. We couldn't find our coffee machine and needed morning coffee in the worse way. "FIND COFFEE NOW" mood kicked in and we decided to explore down the hill and ran into "Lighthouse Coffee Shop". I am a Starbucks Gal and knew there was one inside the Safeway Store at the Vista Plaza but something told us to explore down towards Los Altos Parkway and we are so glad we did. I think we found our New Coffee Shop, as since the day we came we have been back ever since. The Minute we walked in, we were greeted with "Hello" and told "Good Morning" the thoughts in my head... "WOW", Cute Place. Great ambience and location. When u get to the counter to order you feel welcomed and our barista "Stevie" was AWESOME!! She said "First time, Let me help" and recommend a drink which my husband gets every time. A Hazelnut Latte with an extra shot. and non-fat milk. Can I just say what an amazing place, friendly, and knowledgable staff. What a great place to be, was my feeling. Now I mentioned to you Starbucks gal, but I will tell u I am a Lighthouse Gal NOW! I haven't been to a Starbucks since we have found Lighthouse Coffee. We met and love some of the staff, Austin is our favorite but Jen, and Stevie have all been wonderful as well. I used to meet there once a week and read through theology books with younger men and the owner (I assume he was the owner?) was always welcoming and even involved himself in our conversations (not in an intruding way at all). I really wanted to like this place because it was a small coffee shop not a franchise like Starbucks, but sadly, I was pretty disappointed. I went through the drive thru this morning at about 930. There was no line. I ordered a 20oz caramilla. It took longer than I expected... they were pretty slow. She told me one price at the intercom thing or whatever then when I got to the window, it was a different price. Even the way she talked to me was just cold. One would think that they would be a little more friendly. One thought wrong apparently. I also received a 16 oz not a 20 oz, but she walked off before I could even try and correct it. Had I not been in a hurry, I would've went in to complain. The coffee itself was a let down as well. I am an avid coffe drinker. I love the bitter taste of it hidden behind a rich creamy flavor. I found myself asking where's the coffee? Where's the caffeine?! There was WAY too much caramel and too much cream. It tasted like ice cream and had the same consistency of melted ice cream. I knew of light house coffee when it was in Spanish springs. If the service and product is what is the norm, I can see why they closed. I shan't return. I'll stick to my Starbucks. read more

Pitch all that "venti, grande, tall" nonsense and go to a really nice coffee shop like Lighthouse Coffee. Family-owned and very inviting with a perfect location. I was sad to see the previous coffee shop close up, but when Lighthouse emerged as the next business I was very eager to check it out. I can actually order in the "small, medium, large" vernacular instead of some snooty version, plus the coffee wasn't burnt like other chain locations to remain nameless (buckstar). The coffee is really good and the service is great and reminds me of a coffeehouse version of Cheers, with regulars being greeted by name and knowing what they typically order...certainly my kind of place. They offer a good selection of food and freshly baked goods which I haven't tried...yet. However for me, I go for the coffee and ambience. Wifi is available so you can have meetings there as well, or simply check your messages after cooling off from your workout at the gym next door. They also have a convenient drive-thru which is efficient when you are on the run. I really look forward to going back and meeting up with friends at Lighthouse and hope that they will be around awhile, which I'm sure they will be if they keep doing what they are doing. Went today with a friend and had phenomenal service. I had an iced vanilla Chai latte and it was fabulous! My friend had a pumpkin spice latte and enjoyed it as well. The atmosphere was modern and comfortable, and they seemed pretty steadily busy. We hung out for probably close to 2 hours and they even gave us a complimentary bottled water! My fiancé and I discovered this amazing new Light House coffee shop off of Vista and Los Altos a few weeks ago. We went through the drive thru and ordered an Americano, Chai Latte, and a quiche.... Which were all amazing! This place is above and beyond Starbucks and the owner is sooo nice!! One late night after work I drove by and they were already closed but the owner opened the drive thru window and made my Chai special. The inside is decorated beautifully and we will continue to give our business there. Highly recommended!! read more

Great vibe, great parking, nice people working the counter and the Barista was friendly as well but the staff didn't seem to know what a dry cappuccino was. We ordered a dry and a wet cap, the dry was almost as milky as the wet (maybe an ounce less milk) and the foam in both was disappointing - not packed and had no "crust". Basically both caps were hot milk with a shot of espresso. I would (and do) make the drive over to Coffee Bar instead, but in a pinch Lighthouse still beats the crap out of Starbucks. read more

I was so bummed when I drove by the old location and the sign was down. Then a few days later I saw they opened up on Vista at Los altos. I love their coffee. It is a small family run shop and I have always had the best customer service. Owners are friendly and welcoming. The new location seems cursed as it has been the home of several other coffee shops.
