I visited Lifted today for first time after following Quinn from her previous salon. Lifted is easy to get to and is located in a nice, small shopping center. The salon itself is cute and welcoming with nice amenities. Quinn again did a great job on my partial highlights. I asked for low maintenance, lived in, dimensional lightening and that is exactly what I got! Quinn listens to your hair goals and does a great job meeting your expectations. I only want to come in for color once or twice a year, and Quinn not only makes sure my color will grow out seamlessly between visits, but also never pressures me to come in more or add additional services. I guess I was just so used to my hair color being a little on the brassy side that I didn't really notice how much I didn't like it until she redid it for me! She put a gorgeous creamy blonde into my hair and helped me get rid of a lot of the brassiness that I had for probably the last 2 years. She also took so much time to put my color together, making sure that it was going to turn out beautifully and spent such a great deal of time doing the most wonderful blowout for my hair! Felicia was the hair stylist I saw. I wanted beautiful light blonde hair. I even showed her a picture and asked multiple times for my hair to be light blonde. Instead, I got ugly dark reddish brown vomited all over the top of my head with a low saturation, gray like color on the sides? No slight correction could fix this. It would have to be a complete redo. My hair should have been done right the first time! I wish the hair stylist would have let me choose the actual colors she was mixing and putting in my hair. It's my hair, not hers. I would have NEVER chosen any browns or gray-like colors whatsoever if she would have asked. I feel stupid for paying the bill, giving a 15% tip and buying their shampoo and conditioner for a total of $424.71. I just felt awkward and was in disbelief my hair was that bad. I'm traumatized. I'm wearing light blonde wigs now. My Response To Jacki's Response Below - My text messages were not inappropriate to Felicia if you actually read them. Felicia was aware of my disappointment at the salon. The Salon manger never called me to address this issue. I have no interest in returning. First time trying this salon and so glad we got Zodie. She was awesome!! She listened carefully to exactly what my picky teenage daughter and I wanted, and nailed it for both of us. We live in L.A. but my daughter said she wants to get her hair done by Zodie every time we visit here. I tipped almost 40%, but in hindsight, wished I had tipped more because she was so patient with us and didn't try to push any unwanted upsells. After reading such great reviews I was looking forward to changing up my hair color. It's been 20 years since having my hair colored professionally, naturally it's medium brown roots that ombre's to a light brown with golden highlights. I brought in photos of my desired color and my hair turned out nothing like them. At one point, my hairdresser ran out of the clay-like bleach she developed for my hair and started using another hairdresser's client's bleach. I went home and one side looked okay and blended, but the other side looked like I had highlights that grew out, it was blocks of highlights in a straight line, a quarter inch from my roots. I contacted the hairdresser and she got me in right away. She tried blending it, but it honestly still looks bad. Also, my coworker pointed out how blonde the sides look compared to the back of my head. I won't be returning. read more

I've been going to see Sarah for about 3 years now and I could not be happier with my hair. Not to brag, but I get compliments on the regular and I have to give her all the credit!! Because if it weren't for her I would have a nightmare of a rat's nest for hair. She does amazing color and amazing cuts and amazing styling. Also she's super friendly and hilarious and is great about really listening to what you want and giving her expert--but honest--opinion. She's also done "event hair" for me and I got TONS of compliments. She's seriously amazing. I'm moving to the east coast, and I've considered kidnapping her to take with me; my primary hesitation is that I'm limited on trunk space so getting her there would be difficult.
