I keep calling Miranda, the owner of the salon, at this number (916) 949-1165. It goes straight to voicemail, and even though I left a message, she did not call me back. This is how they treat first-time customers!!! read more

Miranda did such an amazing job, and was so sweet and easy to talk to the whole time. I left feeling great and refreshed. 10/10 recommend!

Miranda at Haven Salon Studio is amazing if you're looking for that effortless, lived-in blonde, beachy vibe. She really knows how to blend color so it grows out beautifully, making it super low-maintenance. She listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered amazing, natural results. I couldn't be happier with her as my stylist! read more

Miranda is great! I recently moved to the area and found her on Yelp. I texted her for an appointment and she responded right away. I appreciated her thoroughness on what I wanted and she delivered! We talk about what would be best for my hair and how to keep it looking healthy. She gave me beautiful blonde highlights and a haircut and now I can't stop looking in the mirror. It looks and feels so good! Her studio is cute, clean and comfortable. I am looking forward to my next appointment with her :) read more

Miranda is amazing! I've been to her studio twice and both times she knew exactly how to treat my hair and gave me the exact transformation I was looking for. She's really good at what she does! Can't recommend her enough! read more

This review is coming a little bit late as I've been going to Miranda for my hair for about a year now, but she is absolutely amazing at what she does! I had never gotten a color treatment on my hair previously and wanted to prioritize a subtle lived-in color to start me off as I was a bit afraid of the grow-out process. I love the way our first appointment turned out and the color grew out amazing and blended so well even a few months later! My hair has also remained healthy and shiny even after all these months which I am immensely grateful about and it's because Miranda 100% knows what she's doing. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for beachy/low maintenance color and I'll be continuing to get my hair done at Haven as long as I'm in the area! read more

I stumbled on Miranda's work on yelp at her previous location. Her work looks so amazing, I had to see her. Luckily I was able to locate her and she was able to get me in for an appointment. Miranda is very thorough and detailed. I appreciate that. During my appointment, I shared a vision of the hair color I wanted. Miranda was honest and explained to me that it may take a few steps. Although I have gone through just one session, I love the result I got. I'm confident with more visits it will get better and better. I'm super excited for my next visit. Worth the trip! read more

I have been going to Miranda for 2 years now, and even when I moved out of the area (almost 2 hours away) I still drove to have my hair done by the one and only Hair Angel, Lock Goddess, Miranda! When I first came to Miranda, I was looking for a Mane Savior...My hair had been damaged and my scalp had been burned by a previous stylist. I was letting it grow out so when I came to her I had long roots, yellow ends and "a very interesting cut" as I think I remember Miranda calling it lol....That's because I was scared to go back to trust another stylist, so I attempted to cut it myself....Not a good idea. When Miranda says she is a color specialist and furthermore, specializes in natural looking, easy to maintain, low maintenance, beachy color...she means it and excels beyond expectations. Miranda brought salvation to my tresses! In my first visit she did a color correction, a cut, and restored my glory. In the second visit she did an all over highlight and built some beautiful dimension into my now, very healthy, easy to maintain, beautiful hair. I am pretty lazy about styling my hair so Miranda does my cut & color in a ways that it still looks really good even when I do nothing to my hair but wash it. I simply will not go to anyone else...wherever Miranda goes, I will go, and I highly recommend her, as she has more experience than she even appears old enough to to have (I think 20ish years), and she continues to stay educated on new trends and technology, attending seminars, and classes, and offers the best products. Miranda also never does anything just for an extra dime, such as up selling, or even performing services that are not necessary. If she doesn't think you need a trim, or treatment in this visit etc., she will be honest and let you choose. read more

I made my first trip to see Miranda earlier this month. Let me say...she is a hair magician! My previous hair had some balayage/highlights that I didn't love and my hair had turned orange-ish/red. I asked Miranda if she could get the red hue out for me as I'm having my wedding elopement in early October. She said that she would cool down my base color and incorporate some blonde dimension. She said she may not be able to be get all of the red out in the first visit (which is totally understandable) but when she was done my hair looked amazing! Pretty much all of the visible red undertone was gone!  It was exactly what I was envisioning! The cooler brunette and blonde looks SO much better on my skin tone. I am so excited to come back to see Miranda and have her perform her more magic on my hair forever!! Thank you Miranda! read more

Miranda is a miracle worker! I got my hair done at another place the previous weekend and my hair color turned out patchy/streaky and much more golden than what I had asked for. I explained the situation to Miranda and she was able to get me in quickly. She is extremely knowledgeable and explained her plan on how she was going to fix it. She successfully transformed my hair with this beautiful sandy neutral balayage!! Her studio is relaxing, she is very kind and overall it was a wonderful experience. read more

Not only is Miranda a wonderful person, she is truly the best at her craft!! I'm so glad I found her! I'm in my 40's and my hair isn't the easiest to deal with, it's thick and frizzy, and I have quite a bit of grey that requires dark brown permanent root color applications at ~6-week intervals. I also get balayage highlights and Miranda is able to lighten my hair to a beautiful blonde color (see photos). I can attest that lightening hair through previously dyed hair is not an easy process--it usually comes out very orange--but not Miranda, she is highly skilled and knows just how to prevent the orange undertones from showing through. I am in love with how my hair looks and I trust her with my hair. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for low maintenance highlights. read more

Miranda is probably my favorite hairstylist to date. She listens, she takes her time, and she's open to feedback about how I feel. I can say this review honestly as I've been seeing her for over a year now. Only one time in that span did I decide that I wanted something done differently (not because of her... she executed beautifully but then I changed my mind). She got me in the very next day to change it. She makes me feel welcome with great conversation, head massage with shampoo, and she will make sure you're happy leaving happy with beautiful hair! read more

I have been going to Miranda for a couple years now, and she has been the best thing to happen to my hair! She's truly an artist! Sometimes I'll go many months in between highlight appointments, and my hair still looks fresh and gorgeous. As she says, she loves a "lived in" look, and I think her technique is what keeps my hair looking so good for so long. She is so professional, and she truly takes time to listen to what you hope to get out of your appointment. She's realistic, but willing to be adventurous with your hair too - a perfect balance! Her salon is clean and cute, and she does her best to make you feel relaxed and pampered. I truly won't go anywhere else to get my hair done! read more

Miranda is absolutely amazing, and a miracle worker if you ask me! Due to having severe neck issues and poor past experiences, I avoided getting my hair done until I couldn't take my overgrown, hard to manage, thinning hair anymore. Miranda completely changed my perspective and nulled all negative past experiences with her kindness, compassion, patience, and gentleness. Not only did she make me feel at ease, but my hair has never looked more beautiful! I was stunned to tears with how amazing it looked. The way she cut and styled it you can't even see the thinning on my sides! The highlights look so natural too! I left feeling good about myself for the first time in years! You can't put a price on that. BUT, she is reasonably priced as well! I feel like I won the lottery discovering Miranda, and I will never let anyone else touch my hair. The rating only goes up to 5 stars but I personally give her a 10 star rating. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for restoring my confidence and feeling as if I gained a friend as well. read more

Back in March when COVID-19 shut everything down, my hair began the natural journey I've never let happen before. Snow white hair began emerging in all its glory and as the months went on, the whiter my head got. I was anxious to get my hair done, but also nervous about going back into a full salon. That's when I decided it was time for me to finally make an appointment with Miranda, whom I had been following on IG for a couple years. Miranda had announced she would be moving into her own salon, which I thought was a genius solution to making clients feel safe and comfortable! I eagerly made my appointment and was thrilled when the day arrived. I was not disappointed. From the text consultation, to the booking, to the end of my appointment, Miranda was warm, friendly, and considerate. Not to mention she is a master of hair! I'm the kind of client who always has a vague idea of what I want so I look to my stylist for a lot of guidance and she gave it. She gave me a beautiful cut with the perfect amount of subtle highlights. My hair looks like it is naturally this color! I'm obsessed with it. My salon experience was also very pleasant. Miranda engages in conversation, but also didn't talk my ear off, which I appreciated. I like to just zone out sometimes when I'm getting my hair done and she let me do that. There was one point where I had to lay back in the chair and let the toner sit, and Miranda left the room. I had a few minutes to myself in the room, with great music playing and I fell asleep because I was so relaxed! It's also important to point out that the salon was clean and the equipment was sanitized. I felt completely safe in that environment. I am so excited to be one of her clients and can't wait for my next appointment, whenever that may be since salons were just shut down again. read more

When it comes to my hair, I'm kind of a minimalist. I want something easy to maintain and style and relatively wash-and-wear. But, that doesn't mean I don't care about the color or cut of my hair. I want to look good! When I first moved back to CA and was looking for a stylist, I booked with Miranda by chance. Let me tell you, I could not have been luckier! She is a wizard with color! Seriously one of the best colorists I've had. She elevates my color, while still keeping it very natural, and covering my grays ;) And she has also been able to give me great cuts (both long and short styles) that maintain their integrity between appointments. Beyond her skill as a stylist, she is one of the most caring people whose chair I have sat in. I consider her a friend and will continue coming to her for as long as she is working. read more

Jackie has been doing my hair for a few years now, even after I have relocated to Southern California I still make regular trips to Nor Cal because once you find an amazing hair girl that truly understands color especially specializing in blonde it's tough to trust anyone else, especially if you have processed hair like me. Her process is thoughtful and my hair has remained strong and healthy regardless of using bleach. I can also push out my appts if I need to because both the color and cut outgrowth looks so natural and fresh which is an absolute bonus for many reasons. read more

Let me just tell it to you straight for all of you looking for an all inclusive haircut/styling experience: Jackie's your girl. I've been in to see her three times now (+ will be going to see her for as long as she's in the biz!) and each time has been such a treat. My experiences with going to get my hair done were not something I looked forward to. Last year I convinced myself to make an appointment as a "treat yo'self" during my pregnancy, and after meeting Jackie, having amazing conversations, feeling so spoiled and falling absolutely in LOVE with my hair, I never went back to bare minimum basic hair cut shops that didn't cut it for me. She checks all the boxes and more. Stop your searching and go schedule your appointment - you won't regret it. read more

I got my hair done by Miranda and it turned out incredible! I really don't like getting my hair done very often, and I've gone to her once before and it grew out so nicely. I like that she does a more "lived in" or "beachy" look so I can keep my blonde while still looking really natural. I also made my hair orangey using hydrogen peroxide prior to my appointment today (oops!!) and she completely fixed it. Definitely will be going to her next time I want to look more blonde again. I really can't saying anything but amazing things about Miranda. I've gone to her for years now and every time someone asks where I got my hair done, I always recommend her. Her studio is so relaxing. There's always relaxing music in the background and essential oil diffusing. It literally feels like a spa in there. As a stay at home mom of 2, I love going there and enjoying the ambiance. She gives the best scalp massages when shampooing my hair too! She is very genuine and we always have the best conversations. Oh yeah, and she's great at hair too! Haha She's a miracle worker. She does the best balayage, and if I want to go light, we gradually go light. If I want to go dark for winter, she does it no questions asked. I've gone from dark brown, to blond subtle highlights, to chunky highlights and face framing pieces to even red! Yes red. She can do it all! She really cares about the healthiness of your hair. My hair has never been this long until I started going to her. Because she doesn't shock my hair with going from dark to light in only one sitting. That's not good for anyone's hair. She's very realistic and communicative about what your hair will look like after. She has products that you can buy for your hair there too. Try her out, and you won't be disappointed. Her price point is pretty standard with other salons I've been to. Just remember: you get what you pay for. And Miranda is a gem! read more
