The surface of our balcony needed to be replaced after 20 years.. Nailheads were starting to push through the sealer. David introduced us to the Pli-Dek system, a more substantial flooring than our old sealant. He cut out some damaged plywood, then covered the entire balcony with several layers of new materials. It has a much sturdier feel now. Access to the balcony was through the house. His team was very careful not to mar any surfaces. After they completed the installation, they touched up the paint on the railing and cleaned up the area. We are very happy with the result. Good value. We will use them again. read more

David Lara and his crew replaced the flat roof on our 1920s duplex last summer. It involved taking out some unwanted skylights and replacing two other skylights. David provided a detailed estimate and stuck to it. He and his crew leader offered good advice, answered questions, provided pictures, were on time, and cleaned up daily. Wow. David is amazing ...highly recommend his company! We had a leak on the ceiling inside our front door after the heavy rains this winter. All of the roofers we contacted were super busy, but David was able to come by between jobs and quickly found a missing flashing. He took a photo of it while he was on the roof and sent it to me. He said that his team could come back in between other jobs and he would just charge for an hour's worth of work. I got a 2nd estimate from someone else who said we would need to replace the whole section of roof and it would cost nearly $2000. He did mention the flashing, so I showed him David's photo... he still said we needed all the extra work done. We contacted a third roofer to break the tie since the estimates were so vastly different - after one look at the photo he said the missing flashing was all that was needed. David texted today and said he could come out within an hour, and now it's fixed! He even offered to fix it for free, which I couldn't believe. My realtor recommended David Lara, and I feel so lucky to have met him. We had serious water issues and had scheduled roofers I'd worked with before, but they were taking too long and couldn't be sure what the problem was. David Lara came out within 20 minutes (!) of me calling him, gave a quote, and was the only one out of several folks who found the problem area. He even dropped by the next day to put a patch on. I didn't get close to this level of service from the company I was a repeat customer! David went above and beyond. The moment we had dry enough weather, David was there with his team. During the January rainstorm part of our roof blew off in the middle of the night. I frantically called every roofer in the Bay Area for help. I already had bids from several roofers for a roof replacement but no one, even the ones I had bids from, could help us. I found David Lara's Lifetime Roofing Company through Yelp. He and his small crew came out on a Sunday afternoon between downpours, climbed to the top of the steep roof, and did an emergency repair. They charged us nothing. Amazingly, that repair held until we could get the roof replaced. While the storms continued, I contacted at least ten local roofing companies for bids, including the ones that had previously bid on the project. The original bidders all increased their bids by varying amounts. in one case, the well known company increased their price by fifty percent. There were companies that wouldn't even consider the job because the roof is too steep. The range in bids was incredible, the highest being double the lowest. Lifetimes's bid was not the lowest but we selected them because we were so impressed by their responsiveness and obvious experience and knowledge of roofing. Lifetime completed the job yesterday with absolutely no extra charges. They cooperated with the insurance company so we expect to receive payment for part of the damage repair. We were impressed by David's crew's professionalism and skill. Although it has not rained yet, and the repaired stucco has not yet dried, we are confident that the job they did will hold. We are sure that if there is a leak, Lifetime be right out to deal with it in accordance with their five year warranty.
