First time the wait was annoying but a little more tolerable due to warm weather. Second visit, just like the first, I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed. After 25 min waiting outside I finally got in out of the cold and was able to sit down. I'm a left leg amputee and standing for long periods is harder for me than most. There are no chairs or anything to sit on outside their office. Most disappointing is that the staff couldn't have cared less. I'm not looking for 5 star concierge service at a blood lab but I would have thought someone would have been concerned about the issue I raised. I just got silence and a too bad so sad look. It's conveniently located but for me that's all it has going for it. And be prepared that they will be well behind in their schedule.

Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. This place is atypical of Dynacare's usual high standards.

However - EVERY time I have gone to Dynacare and had my blood taken by Cristina, the Lab Technician, whatever magic or needle sorcery she does - it's painless and over in seconds. And she has consistently taken it quickly and painlessly over the couple years I have gone, is always calm and pleasant, and puts me at ease telling me stories or jokes. I tried to find this on the public website where this ruling was, nothing online, and nothing was shown in the office/waiting room either. it was explained in long format when I followed up with life labs, but no apology was given for the snobby technician for the bloodwork being drawn. absolutely no satisfaction. parking is a bit of a crap shoot as its street parking for this four story medical building plus other stores in the neighborhood. transit option is the 501 queen bus/streetcar directly with no other close by option absolutely felt insulting to come here, had a panic attack, was degraded, and worse still, if I need to do bloodwork, this is the closest location to where I live and I don't have a close option. come here if you want to be treated terribly!

In the last few months (unfortunately) I've had to to several tests and can say I've got to know the staff more than the average Joe. They take care of you here, not the "in-your-face" kind of help you get from a salesperson at you clothing store. But they try to make the needle process as painless as possible. And this is what makes me happy here, they're not rushing. I've found out the best time to go is 4-5pm as most people try to go early in the morning as some tests require fasting.

It was my first time at this LifeLabs location. There is plenty of onsite parking that is free, which is a nice change from some of the other LifeLabs locations in the west Toronto area. The LifeLabs is located in the basement. There are elevators for people with mobility issues, or you can use a short flight of stairs. The receptionists were efficient at checking people in. They have a board showing wait times and whether people have pre-booked appointments. When I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, the wait time was 14 minutes. There is a small waiting room within the office, and a handful chairs outside in the hallway. I can see how it would get crowded very fast. The cubicles are pretty open and people in the waiting area can definitely see into them, so keep that in mind. I was called quickly and the person taking my blood was quick at her job. I was in and out in a few minutes.
