Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. This place is atypical of Dynacare's usual high standards.

However - EVERY time I have gone to Dynacare and had my blood taken by Cristina, the Lab Technician, whatever magic or needle sorcery she does - it's painless and over in seconds. And she has consistently taken it quickly and painlessly over the couple years I have gone, is always calm and pleasant, and puts me at ease telling me stories or jokes. I chose this location because it is the only blood work lab open on a Sat. It is my first time…read morehere. They have been open for at least 7 years. I arrived on a Sat 08:05. Someone just finished at the check-in, so they attended me after 30 secs. The check-in process only took about 1 min. There is a computer monitor showing the patients and approximate wait time, including anyone with an appointment; there was one patient scheduled at 08:15. There are 4 cubicles. Cubicle 4 has a door that closes and has a medical bed. I was asked to go into cubicle 4 at 08:24. The technician started at 08:29. I finished at 08:32. I was told that Saturdays are their busiest day but starting at 10:00. I'm glad I came early. There were three technicians, one of whom handled the reception. There is a fourth person who seems to only do administration. The lab is wheelchair accessible.There is no free WiFi. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is wheelchair accessible. I kept asking them how much longer and the staff was very rude saying to wait another 30min and to sit down and wait to me called. No point having an appointment since the wait time with it without appointment was the same.

It says $2.00 for 3hrs but when I put in my credit card, the buttons to select amounts were unlabeled and started to add 6.00 and 10.00. So i tried to put in a $2 coin and it didnt respond or give me back my money when I hit cancel. I just went in as others were and I didnt get ticketed so I dont know.... The staff at the lab were straightforward and adequate, as they usually are at these kinds of places. I like that they put ur first name and estimated wait time per person on a tv so you're not in the dark. Its not exact, but at least it gives you an idea unless you know where you are in the queue. I recommend this place.

The male technician took extra care due to her anxiety and was nice and friendly. My DD told me afterwards it didn't hurt. Upon arrival the whole experience took about 30min in total. LifeLabs is located immediately to your left when entering from the parking lot. Have your health card and requisition from your family doctor ready, and your name will show up on the screen according to your time slot. Walk-ins are available too; the wait time was about 39 mins (as shown on screen when I was there this morning. There are 3 booths for blood-drawing, with an upright chair that can swivel. You can also request to do it lying down on a bed, and also draw blood with a baby needle. The lady who helped me was very accommodating with my requests, and made me feel comfortable throughout the session, thank you!
