Came on a weekend and was expecting a long wait but it was fairly quick! They do only have one room for patients so it is a smaller office but they offer bloodwork and ECG services only. You can usually pre join the wait list during the week on their website, but that service isn't available on the weekend. The staff were really nice, so felt comfortable the whole time and as it was my first time having an ECG done she explained everything to me. I would recommend coming here.

It's inside the Shoppers Drug Mart therefore not as big as other locations, since I'm not familiar with its setting, I hesitated a bit when I get there, but the front reception kept asking me to wait that it won't be long ... However, the nurse who took my blood test poked into my vein so painfully, that my arm got bruised even after a few days later. Don't know what went wrong, I thought Dynacare is a big company and their staff should be well-trained and proficient, very disappointed with the service provided

I had the paperwork from my Doctor along with my health card ready for the person at the service counter. Some services are not covered by OHIP and you'll have to pay upfront out of pocket. There's seating for about 20 people. The TV monitor on the wall displays the wait times before you're seen by a lab technician. Staff were polite and efficient. I was in/out in 30 minutes.

When the doctor asked for specific lab tests, we were initially worried about where to go till we were told to visit LifeLabs. While their phone line didn't confirm availability of the test needed, this new lab location was able to confirm and we had a pleasant and quick visit. There was a seated wait area which was empty when we arrived so we were able to head directly to the front desk to drop off the doctor's test requisition form. Nearby is a row of cubicles for conducting blood works. We found the team to be friendly and efficient. We were lucky to be in and out within 20 minutes. We just dropped in but they also have a booking system online. Better yet the technician provided us the link to online results so we were able to check within a few days even before our doctor called back to discuss results directly. It's hard for patients to stay patient so this level of convenience goes a long way, knowing that they have one of the largest lab systems locally. Skip it or hit it? If we're in need of a lab test again, we won't think twice about going to LifeLabs.

Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. This place is atypical of Dynacare's usual high standards.

However - EVERY time I have gone to Dynacare and had my blood taken by Cristina, the Lab Technician, whatever magic or needle sorcery she does - it's painless and over in seconds. And she has consistently taken it quickly and painlessly over the couple years I have gone, is always calm and pleasant, and puts me at ease telling me stories or jokes. I needed refills, and she went on & on as if she was investigator or psychiatrist. She didn't stop at asking what was my stress lately but was asking very weird questions as if she wanted to induce specific answers. I told her about harassment & discrimination by York University staff as a retaliation after I pointed out on their unethical hiring, unethical practices, & mistreatment of PhD students at the PhD in HRM. Then, she tried to convince me I need to see a psychiatrist for telling her that which gaslighting resembles the York U staff when a students points out on wrongdoings as they can't stand criticism. She said that she watches a TV show (Love & B....).. to diagnose people with disorders. Yet, she mentioned some concepts & it was clear to me she doesn't know much from that filed. She seemed confused as if she is a psychiatrist when it was clear from her comments that she doesn't even know basic stuff about some disorders (I have a degree in Psych & studied Abnormal Psych). She said she will only give me refills for two weeks & I must see her again to see if she needs to send me to a psychiatrist. This reminded me of the time in history when women were sent in asylum because someone was prejudiced or didn't like them. I have never had such experience with a medical doctor before. She was very professional & her (mis)conduct) disturbing. Her God syndrome that she is knowledgeable in psychiatry when she is not - says that she needs re-evaluation (she is older with all white hair).

I also really love the kiosk check in option as it's a more confidential way of informing the receptionist the reason for your visit. The doctor was really nice and seemed like she cared, and overall went the extra mile. If I lived in the area I'd make this my go-to place.
