We arrived filled out a form - general info and asking where we wanted the massage focus to be. In no time was given a room. Relaxing ambience with soft music. My bones definitely cracked a couple times during that session which was a good sign it was working right lol. At the end was given a stamp card for 10massages until you reach $20 off. But shortly after, some changes happened, Max and Ann are gone, and the massage techs they had didn't quite meet the expectations - basically and unfortunately sub par so I stopped supporting the business. Scrolling through yelp, I decided to check this place out since I'm in need of a massage without breaking the bank and just to see how it's going and noticed "new soothing spa" with the new management as advertised. I gave it a try and surprised!!! there's another Max on their payroll so I got him as my massage tech and yes he got the kinks out, very professional, quiet but efficient - much deserved massage long coming. And no he's a different Max I'm told lol. Hopefully no changes happening so I'll be doing the monthly massages again. Thanks for a great massage - very comfortable, name said it - soothing and peaceful since it's Tuesday noon time, clean and value for your money. Plus the appliance store next door wasn't blasting their music through the walls either so that's ++ in my book although some guy working at that store decided to half block my truck so I had a challenging time getting into it to be able to drive - affected my peaceful aura but that's a different review entirely lol..... Shortly after walking through the door, things took a turn. I was given the intake form which I completed. Then I was told, I had to pay before my services were even started. The woman at the front told me she would "maybe be leaving early" because she had "stuff to do." She said you normally pay after but I would be paying before. Worst case scenario, I was racially profiled and made to pay early. Less worst case scenario, I was still treated differently than normal and as a first time guest. I wasn't offered any refreshments or anything. I stuck it out because my boyfriend put thought into it, but the experience was ruined before it even started for me. I hoped the massage would make up for it...it didn't. My door was left open which is weird considering I had no clothes on and the massage was just alright. Once completed, the masseuse left the room with my door open again for me to have to get up nearly naked to close it so I could get dressed. I turned on the lights to see the satin pillow topper that was removed once I turned from lying on my stomach to my back during the massage was on the floor. I'll include a picture of what I saw and was lying on. I quickly got dressed and made my way to the exit where a choir of employees started the "excuse me, excuse me!" chant as if I was running out without paying. If you're going to make me pay ahead of time, communicate that to others so I'm not accosted while trying to leave. All and all, I won't be coming back and I don't know how they have good reviews.
