So, I've been doing foot reflexology massages for about a year now. I was first introduced to the place in Pasedena, but got really tired of driving out there since I live in the 909. I wanted to find a place that was closer to home.
I stumbled upon this place one day from a coupon that was sent to my house in the mail. I saw that it said $20 foot reflexology massage, which was 5 Bux cheaper than the massages I'd had in the past, so I thought it couldn't hurt to give it a try.
So I decided to just show up to the place on a Saturday and check it out. It's in a shopping center, that isn't too busy. I walked in and the place was dark and quiet. There were only 2 people working there that I could see, and neither of them were busy. I asked for the $20 foot massage, and the gentleman there, happily sat me down in a chair.
The massage was GREAT!! Full body deep tissue foot massage. The guy spent alot of time on my back (which I needed) and took his time(since there were no other customers). I had the place all to myself, other than one person walking in to ask about prices during the massage, but other than that it was silent.
Now, if you're used to the places that are completely dark and the walls are painted dark colors with soothing music in the background, this place is not quite like that. The walls are plain white, there is soothing music (but with someone singing, not an ocean sound) playing out of two speakers on the walls. There are shades in the windows to block some of the light from outside but it's not completely dark in there, so don't go expecting too much of the atmosphere. Go here strictly for the price and for the massage because it was great!!!
They also do table massages and other things, but I haven't tried those yet. I've been back once since then on a Saturday, and they seem to be picking up business because the two employees there were both busy. The guy asked me to come back in an hour, and I did.
If you haven't tried foot reflexology, I encourage you to do so. It is a VERY cheap and efficient way to relieve stress, detox, or just plain ole pop your hip and spine back into place . There should be more places like this in the 909. read more
