I took my daughter(under 10 years) there today to reward her for her hard work doing house choirs for 3 days straight. Her masseuse was Ben and he did an excellent job, stretching and massaging her, she looked like happy jelly coming out of the room. This was a great experience, my wife come here and aside from the English barrier, she is very happy. Then it changed... When it came time to pay for the 30 minute full body it is $40 dollars for cash, and $41 for credit card. I handed my card to an older gentlemen working as the cashier. He asked how much tip, I said $4.00 to round it up to $45, Plus I had some ones in my pocket for my daughter to walk over to Ben (or whomever it turned out to be) to give him directly as a growing experience. I was told sorry $5 minimum tip. We went back and forth, me explaining I want to give a tip of $4 and him saying $5. My inner thoughts were to the effect: I am the customer, mandatory tip is called price. The price was clearly on display, and tip is extra. I stated he can either run my card for $41 or I can leave and not pay. He ran the card for $41 and I signed the receipt. He then yelled making my daughter jump, "WHY NO TIP!?" I offered with a sigh once more, "I paid the price, I offered a tip, you did not accept it, so no tip. Also you were a little rude." We started walking out when he approached me and yelled again "WHY NO TIP?" This would have been in my face if I was a foot shorter. I turned again and stated simply "You were rude." I walked with my daughter seeing and hearing him follow us out, it reminded me on the anime Naruto, when the small shop owners yell at the kids when upset. I believe that this should be a 2 star review, but my daughter sitting next to me says she is still shaking from his yelling. I just got back from from this establishment. I have been a regular for sometime now and today I came out feeling like trash. Massage wasn't great but maybe it just wasn't the guys night to give a massage. Main reason why I am writing a review is because after paying $120 for both my husband and my massage I was greeted by my husbands masseuse who was not happy about his $10 tip. Apparently he required a $20 minimum tip. I looked at the owner and asked him to please clarify what he was trying to say and if he was working only on tips. He looked at me with an unsure look and I know damn well he understood me. The guy repeated "$20 dollars not $10". My husband intervened and asked me if I paid and I said yes. So he said that's enough let's go! Seriously Mr. Owner if your prices are too low to pay your people maybe you should do something. Went there a couple weeks ago, got the 1 hour foot massage. In the past pre Covid they used to give you a little massage time on your back as well as your feet and neck. They no longer do that. Saddens me. Overall the foot massage felt relaxing. I would go back. So it was memorial day and it being a holiday I think most massage spots were closed because I called my usual spot and my backup spot and they didn't pick up lol. Found this place on Yelp so I thought I'd try and they picked up! They said I could come by that night so I was omw to my foot massage. The place seemed clean, but they have one big open space. Not a lot of privacy at all but since it's just a foot massage idc. They do have a few private rooms which I'm assuming are for body massage. Anyways, I really liked that they spent almost the entire hour massaging my feet! All other places I go to I pay for a "foot massage " but they end up massaging everything else too... so you really only have your feet massaged for about half the time. Not this place! In my eternal search for the best foot spa, ever, I stumbled across Water Cube in my Yelp search. It is nearby in Chino, so I thought I would give it a shot. It is in an obscure place, near a Fed Ex Kinkos and H&R Block. You may miss it if you're not looking carefully. When you walk in, they do a great job at creating ambiance by having very relaxing chairs and tranquil music. My major gripe with foot spas is sometimes they keep the door open which is distracting when one is receiving a massage. They kept the door open and employees were going in and out. The massage was overall so-so. I knew the gentleman was definitely trying, but it was not the greatest of massages. It felt like the massages you get during a pedicure when the therapist isn't really trying too hard and is tired at the end of the day. After I got my 40 minute foot massage, I was whisked away to the back area to get a back massage. This massage wasn't good and it hurt. I am not a huge chick, so you do not need to massage my back to a pulp. I tried to tell him to kick back on the pressure but to no avail. Overall, OK, but they need more experienced technicians and they to eliminate distractions while clients are getting massages. read more

3 Star because of establishment. Massage was good. Honestly not sure if I got lucky but I came in 730pm on a thursday and got the hour full body. The guy giving me a massage was rough at the start but after I told him it was rough he lessened it and it was pretty good afterwards. Aside from that, the reviews about cheap lotion is true but it doesn't really matter cause the asian guy I got knew what he was doing. My back was aching like no tomorrow and when I came out. Most of my knots were taken care of. Warning* I do suggest telling them if the hot stone is too hot, I thought I could handle it, but ended up burning a bit of my elbow. All good though, best thing is that it only cost 40$! Cons of the place and why i gave it a 3 despite the good massage: The lotion, most of the time I get a massage they have oil and that oil makes a huge difference when getting deep into my back. The place can get loud because the rooms arent blocked off. I know it might be just me being spoiled but I don't like hearing people while in my state of relaxation. The place is stuffy, it was ok the first 15 minutes but afterwards it just gets harder to breathe. Maybe use the ac or an air humidifier? That about sums it up, parking is easy and its right next to 24. The guy who worked on my back should take his talents to south beach as he was amazing. Its like Kobe after shaq left. Products: 99c lotion and a baby receiving blanket. Price: ok, if you think it's going to be the price posted on the wall, but when it's time to pay...beware of the charges. $10 min tip, plus credit/debit charges. Here are some reasons why I really like water cube: Lily and Ben are really awesome! Their technique is good, and they hit all the right spots. I like a lot of pressure, but you can always ask them to lessen or massage with a heavier hand. All in all, it's like a mom-and-pop foot spa. There are only a handful of seats so be sure to call ahead of time. Most of the time it's really quiet, occasionally, they will have to ring up a customer or talk to someone who just came in, but for the complainers about the noise...have you been to China?? HAHA!!! The back massage portion is legit too. They hit all my problem spots without me even telling them. They have good deals on packages. I passed out so it was quite relaxing for me. read more

My neck and shoulders were very sore. I had no idea what I did to them, but I was in pain. I decided to try this location because they offered a chair massage. The chair massage is $1 a minute. I paid for twenty minutes. The gentleman who worked on my back was amazing. He applied very firm pressure that was painful at times, but it's what I needed. After 20 minutes of him working on me, the pain in my neck and shoulders was gone. I was so impressed I left a $20 tip and will definitely come back. read more

I like deep tissue massage but when it's too rough I simply let them know cuz obviously they can't read minds ... I normally get the 50 min massage where they start off by dunking your feet in warm water and then they'll massage you head, calves and then feet... and then the remainder 30 min they take you to a room to do the deep tissue... simply amazing and so relaxing and for a fair price ... I've never had anyone gain up on me for tip so either you already were a difficult customer to begin with or you lying... i definitely recommend to all my friends and family read more

This is typically my go-to spa for my once a month relaxation. $15 for a one hour foot/body massage is a great deal. However, I feel like this place got worse over time. Perhaps it's the increase in customers, I don't know. The massages really depend on who you get and a lot of times I feel like the women are stronger than the men (ironically). They used to ask you how much pressure you wanted (they have a sign that says Soft, Medium, and Hard) however they don't bother with that anymore and just jump right in. Despite my smaller stature, I need a lot more pressure in a massage and a lot of times I get half of what I need (despite my constant bugging). Also, I had previously made an appointment to get Lily (since I know that she's very good and strong) however, when I stepped in and sat down for my massage, they assigned me a guy! I reminded them that I had made an appointment with Lily and they simply said that she was currently working on another customer and was therefore, unavailable. No apology. What's the point of me making an appointment then?! Furthermore, the guy that worked on me was quite weak (as expected) and didn't adjust the pressure as I had asked. I will be on a long-term hiatus, searching for other places that will actually accommodate my needs. I am truly hoping that perhaps someday, this place will improve. I went to this foot spa days ago and had a really happy experience. This place is awesome!! Compared to all the other places I've been to, it is the most relaxing, and comfortable place to be at. I believe that this is the place where you can get the most satisfying experience you're even gonna get. I got the combo with 30 min of full body along with 40 min of foot massage for $30 and it is great. Very relaxing. I will definitely be going back and highly recommended. A lot has changed. I got bed bugs here. I will no longer be coming here. After coming here with my fiancé for a good 20-30 times, the 1 time you have a bed bug problem in one of your private rooms, you have a serious cleaning problem. I got bit all over after coming here for a 90 min back massage. Never again, shall I step foot into this establishment. I used to love this place, not anymore, not after what happened. Don't know if anyone else that came here got bit. It was the 1st room on the right is where this happened. I havn't gotten bit before. So I think this may be a recent problem. Edit : Knocked down 3 stars because during the last 2 visits I did, the masseuse and owner of the place requested / insisted on a minimum tip. Owner said "Next time, minimum tip for 1 hour massage is $10". This is because I tipped $7. Massage was $41. Since when is more than a 15% tip mandatory? Especially if the masseuse is the owner too. There are other massage places in the area that do not insist on a minimum tip. Not coming back to this place. :( Awesome massage! I had Body Reflexology for 60minutes which included Deep Tissue and Oil Massage and the use of hot stones. The price was reasonable at $40 for an hour of pampering and pain management. I have back and leg pain due to Scoliosis and the massage helped soothe my aches and pains. The private room was clean and comfy. The masseuse was good, professional and polite. I was kind of skeptical due to some negative reviews of their recent visit. However, my experience was amazing! It was awkward at first because the owner kind of had me lay there and wait for 5 mins, but he wound up starting off my massage while the lady finished up. She was awesome! I went with a few girlfriends for a #9 massage which is head and shoulders for 15 , legs for 15 and back for 10. The massage started off with the gentleman worker coming directly from another clients massage to me ...I can't be certain but I don't believe he washes or sanitized his hands in between which made me freak out a bit when he started massaging my face. I asked him if he washed his hands but he could not understand what I was asking. Next the foot massage was decent , then he asked me to go to the room and they complete your back massage. It was aggressive and rough and left me with several bruises on my back the next day. After it was completed the 3 of us went to pay and this is where it got weird. I paid the $20 for the service and tipped $5. That's a 25% tip . My friend had a $30 service and proceeded to tip $5...a 16% tip. Still well within a customary tip range (10-20%). The gentleman who provided her services said " no you give me $10". We all looked at each other a little confused and said "no we pay $30 for service the $5 is your tip ". So he starts getting very irritated saying you give me $10 now ...all the while he is massaging another client ! The cashier points to the sign with the services prices and says " these massage you tip $10, these ones you tip $5". It does not say that on the sign nor can they require you to tip a certain amount without posting (think like at a restaurant some with groups 8 or larger they add in 18% which is always disputable for sub-par service ). Long story short either they need to raise prices to cover their workers so they don't demand higher tips or they need to hush up about the tips. Also considering reporting to health department regarding less than stellar hand sanitation techniques. read more
