Came here because it was close to where my wife needed to do some shopping and my body needed a massage. I chose 30min foot/60min body massage. I was placed in a room with 3 foot massaging stations and 2 body massage tables. It starts with foot soaking in water while you get a head and neck massage. Next, they place a towel on your eyes while you get massaged from the knee down. Next I go to the massage table, curtains pulled for privacy, disrobe, then face down with blanket covering body. At first they massage you through the blanket. Then the rest of massage is no longer through the blanket. First back massage using oil. This was incredible and thorough, but almost painful for me as I had knots all over that she was working to loosen. Then your arms are massaged. Lay on your back and get neck and shoulder massaged. Then legs. Finally you are stretched/twisted. I felt my back crack from top to bottom. Amazing. While I was getting my body massage, another customer came in and started with foot massage, then body massage. While you can't see each other, you can certainly hear them if anything was said. I truly enjoyed the massages provided, but not a fan of having another customer next to me getting their body massaged as well. I asked for a 30 minute body 30 minute foot massage which says $45 on their board. I expected to only pay $45. When I went to pay, the lady who gave me my massage said do you have tip? I had $3 left so I said here's $3 and she said no $5 so I took back my $3 and gave her a $5 tip but she requested more. I asked so the price is not $45 then it's $50 because you're saying the tip is mandatory then and thats not right. A tip is earned and what if I don't have enough money? What if I only have enough money to pay for the service? The lady said that the tip is 20% and I said but it's not required so change your prices to $50 and up then. And she said "whatever " and walked away. This is completely illegal and horrible service. Wont ever be coming back here ever again! read more

She literally massaged by bones with her elbow and did not work on my concern area. I had massage all my life and obviously can tell right away good or bad massage. I have been a FREQUENT customer at this establishment for over a year, by frequent I mean some months I went weekly. I have a massage membership at a larger chain, but this was convenient for last minute massages, prices are great and the staff there was always nice so I didn't mind paying and supplementing here. I took my family and friends here with me numerous times, we always tip very well, I mean everything was GREAT until this week. I attempted to book a massage with my regular masseuse there so I texted the owner on the business line and the text I received back was GUT WRENCHING. I was told that my masseuse was out sick, which was fine, but then the next text was "IS IT OK FOR A BOY TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU FIRST" My stomach dropped, my initial response was "WHAT DID YOU JUST ASK ME?" Me being the nice person I am thought that was too harsh smh Once they realized they'd sent this text after reading my response they started to call me back to back (I didn't answer) They then blamed it on a translator. I'm no genius but I'm sure what there is a drastic difference between someone having sex with someone and offering other options for a massage appointment. I've also had numerous text conversations and this has never happened. My boyfriend & I went to Relax Spa for a full body (60min) massage. The set up is very mediocre but the massage was 6/10. They are very personal!! My masseuse massage my buttocks area & grazed it often, caught me by surprise. (They expect stripped down to the underwear) We did have a private room which was nice but we were close to the entrance & could hear the outside noises. Often time they would slap our bodies (a form of relaxation I guess ) my boyfriend and I couldn't really relax or feel comfortable with their lack of massage techniques. Why is that these type of massages places make you feel that you should tip $10 automatically. The place is okay in my book. If the masseuse digs her nails into me or does not use sufficient oil on my arms and it's basically skin rubbing up against skin I don't feel I should tip $10 bucks. So relaxing! I chose number 3, it included a 40 minute foot massage and 40 minute body massage for only $55. While your feet soak they massage your head, neck, and upper body then move down to your feet. Once done they move you to another room and tell you to remove your top. They massage your whole back with oils and use hot stones! This place is super clean and the staff is really nice! It's definitely my new go to place for a good quality massage and the price can't be beat! They also do cupping which I will try next time. Called for an appointment same-day for myself and my boyfriend and they were able to accommodate us at my requested time which was great. We had a private room for 1-hour massages and the massage was definitely one of the best I've had in recent memory. I can tell that she paid attention to my problem areas and worked out knots in my upper back. My only complaints are minor and didn't really detract from the overall experience, but would've given it the five-start experience. The room we were in was a bit stuffy, like they hadn't run any ventilation or AC despite it being warm during the day. They also had us in our underwear but did not close the door all the way so anyone walking by could peek in. It would be hard to see anything, but it was the thought of a door open behind me while I was getting massaged that kind of bothered me. Additionally, when they flip you over to massage your arms and neck, you are not given anything to block any light and I was in an unfortunate position to be right under a lamp, so I got blasted with bright light in my face (even with eyes closed) for a bit. A towel or something over the eyes would be so much more relaxing. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone in the area. I love getting foot reflexology and full body massages often. I've been looking for a new place to go to in the area and I am glad I gave this place a shot. It full body, oil, hot stone, and in a private room all for a very affordable price. I liked how the male masseuse asked ahead of time the strength preference of my massage and followed up after to see if it's okay. Other foot reflexology places don't do this sometimes because of the language barrier. My massage was amazing and I fell asleep. That's when you know it was an amazing massage. I had a massage on a Monday evening around 6:30. I got the number 3 which was 40m feet and 40m back. Pros: saw me right away, nice people, they used lotion that smelled nice for my face area, hot stones, pressure wasn't too hard it was just right for me, Cons: they didn't spend a lot of time massaging my head and face area, massage movement seemed quick/ rushed instead of slow movement, applied hard pressure on the tail bone area, left feeling really oily. Maybe it was the choice I got that made it feel rushed, but I would definitely come back and try the full body and see how that goes. Really hope they focus on my face/head area longer. read more

First time coming to Relax Spa. I did a 1hr full body massage. It was amazing. I normally don't write reviews for massage places but this place deserves it. I have chronic shoulder, neck and upper back pain. I was in need of a major fix. My massage therapist was Susan. I told her where my pain was and she accessed my back herself and found exactly where I had major knots and tightness were. I haven't had a massage this good in a long time. Most places are a hit or miss and I either come out extremely sore or only a tad bit better but I'm so glad I chose to come here. I feel loose and in less pain. This is not a softly rubbing massage, they do acupressure which is meant to get the stress and tightness out of the body. It can seem rough at first but trust me if you have knots it's for you. But if it is really too much pressure tell them immediately, they are very nice and accommodating. They do a stamp card system where the 10th massage is free, I will definitely be coming back frequently. Maybe even for the 90 minute massage! read more

They made sure to cover my entire back slowly and frequently made sure the suction wasn't too uncomfortable, it's a small place but the staff is polite, well skilled and pricing is extremely fair. I usually go to a Thai massage place in Newport, which is definitely more pricey but I thought I'd try a new place closer to my house. This place isnt too bad for its price, but I didn't find it particularly too great to want to go back. I have been to few other reflexology places with the same price or even $5 cheaper and had equally good massage. Overall, this place was average. The one thing that I would definitely inform you all about this place is that the ambience isn't too calming and relaxing for a massage place. There was no appreciable aroma in any of the rooms which I was sad about since I love walking into a massage place full of relaxing, pleasant aroma. The massage beds weren't particularly dirty or malodorous but they could definitely use some aromatherapy in the rooms. Also, the music they played wasn't really enjoyable and too quiet, since they had the entrance door open and I could hear cars pass by and all the street noise. My review is pretty mixed. Service: OKAY THIS IS WHERE I WAS PRETTY FRUSTRATED. So I walk in, (the day before I call in for an appointment for 3:30PM) and even trying to confirm the appointment, I was pretty aprehensive because I didn't feel like it was completely clear?? Not sure if that makes sense but anyways... the next day, I get to my appointment at 3:00PM, I walk in and NO ONE is at the front desk or there to greet me...So I'm like... "Yo is this place closed?" I sit and wait, someone finally comes out and doesn't acknowledge me about my appointment... goes into a room, then comes back out "Which one you want" kind of deal... I further explain that I made an appointment and I wanted the hour swedish... He says okay.. tells me to go to a room. In this room I don't know what I'm doing because it's full of beds and there is one person getting their massage on... So I'm not sure if I'm to get comfy, lay down... or anything... nothing was clear. This whole process took close to 40 mins... I look at the clock and I'm already frustrated that it took so long... I about had it when a really friendly girl comes in apologizing profusely... So now I feel bad. She leads me to a room and tells me to undress (sheesh, can you atleast ask for my name? Lol jkjk) but for reals... she steps out of the room as I get undressed and then she proceeds for an actual full hour (which I'm impressed that me changing doesn't cut the time of 15 mins). Massage: I got the full body swedish massage. I didn't get the girl's name but she was really good, enough pressure without it tickling or hurting...got a lot of knots but I wish she stayed longer in other places... It felt like she wanted to make sure she hit my entire back but didn't focus too much on certain areas where I was a little achy... I think I was just HOPING she would but now that I think of it, maybe I should have spoken up for that in particular. Pricing was decent but maybe I would splurge a little more if everything had an actual type of time table/structure. Overall, my experience was quite... confused.
