We were being very picking in our selection of storage spaces so when we found this place we were extremely happy. The cleanliness and maintenance of the space was very nice to see. The added bonus of the camera security and storage locking was great to see as well. We used Life Storage for about 6 months to keep some of our miscellaneous items out of our way until we got a bigger living space. It was a fantastic experience that went smoothly from start to finish. We wanted a place that was climate controlled since summer was approaching and not only are these units held at a nice temperature, the facility is super clean for a storage place! After looking at some pricing online, we came in to get our account set up. The guy working (who I believe was the manager but his name is escaping me) was so friendly and genuinely knowledgable. He wasn't pushy at all trying to sell us, just provided information and his recommendation if we needed one. He showed us to our unit, made sure our lock worked, gave us a rundown on the facility and offered us water. You have a personal code for main door entry and then of course a key on your own unit. You must purchase a lock yourself but they have some available for purchase which are great. They also have several carts available at both entrances for your use. When it came time to vacate, all we had to do was sign a paper after emptying the unit and we were on our way. Our items honestly didn't even look like they had been in storage. I would definitely return to this location if I had any additional storage needs and recommend it! read more

Listen, it's a storage facility. I'm not expecting exceptional customer service, but I am expecting at least some consideration towards customer experience. I began clearing out my storage unit over the course of a few days. I've never used a storage facility, this one was closest to my home. I asked the guy at the front desk, he's been the only one every time I've visited, and he initially was very aggressive about my timeline in regards to get my stuff out and told me to leave my lock and key in the unit when done. On day 1 NONE of the carts had wheels that worked. I was really struggling with trying to move and unlock the wheels. He basically told me that it's everyone else's fault, and my fault and that the carts are fine. Boy did I feel dumb. On my final day of clearing things out I go in and say I'd like to close out my unit. He asked about the keys and lock and I said "oh you told me to leave them, but I can go and get them." He then proceeded to tell me how he would have never said that to a customer and that he can't close the unit without the lock. Again, boy did I feel dumb. I go and get the lock and keys to give to him and then he just tells me to keep them because they were paid for with the unit. This was so unclear with directions and spoke down to me with the most basic of questions. read more

I ended up here in an emergency situation. I knew that the facility was fairly new and probably pretty clean and it was. I picked a size of unit I thought would work but came racing back over the morning of my move after realizing I picked a size too small. They accommodated me very well though I could not get a unit on the first floor. Cons - pretty pricey. I was told by someone who works there it is like real estate. Location, location, location. This storage facility is in a good area so it has higher than average rental prices. Also, the elevator is slow so if you can't get the 1st floor then moving a lot of stuff can take some time. Costly if you are using movers. Pros - I was always treated very well especially by the manager. They are fair, will try to help if within reason. The place is clean, no bugs, no smells. First off I need to say that Paul is an amazing guy and he will take care of you! He's extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have had experience with a handful of storage facilities as I use them to store my staging pieces for real estate, and this one takes the cake. I rented a space a few months ago in the shape of a pizza slice. we laugh because it is a corner space and I was able to get a really kind deal at the time due to its non-popular request. ever since every time I see Paul around the facility he always laughed and we joke about it and he is always friendly which makes the experience better because people remember you by name. I just recently did a upgrade to a bigger unit because I need more space and luckily I chose a really good day as Paul made the transition super smooth and was extremely kind and helpful in making the best decision for payment and moving to another storage facility with easier access. I stored my belongings with Life Storage a couple different times. Overall, both times, I had a good experience. This most recent time, Dan, the storage manager, was most fabulous to work with. He made the move out process so easy. I gave 4/5 stars simply for the price, I had signed up at $112, and it was raised to $150+. Therefore, I decided to pull my stuff from the unit. Talked with Matt when he hooked me up with my van and wow he was super nice. Everything was a smooth transaction, smooth interaction, and easy to have everything prepared. He related to me, went over all of the paperwork with ease and it was simple. No fuss no nonsense and did it with a smile. The place was clean, professional and glad the consistency was the same from location to location. Although I don't rent out of this location, but another one, it is good to see that they work together very well. If I'm gong to a brand name and especially since this was a buyout I want to see the same experiences. The people make the difference and Matt did. Good guy and again everything was smooth sailing. Just leased a storage unit at Life Storage. The units and building were clean and secure. Large moving dollies are provided to help get items from your car to your unit. Great location close to the 101 and Tatum. It is a little awkward if you come from the 101 because you can't do a left turn into the parking area. Was very pleased with Paul and his staff. read more

We needed a secure facility to store most of our furniture and household items before moving out of state. Paul and his team here took great care of us. We felt our items were very secure at this facility. In addition to the surveillance cameras, it seemed like the people working here really kept an eye on what was going on when they were there. We were not able to move everything from our home to storage at one time, so their moving van was a huge help on the last day for the remaining items. We made several trips to our unit selling furniture, rearranging, and repacking. They always had carts available for our use and they had room for our 26 foot moving truck. He worked with us patiently to find the right units for our budget and side by side for our convenience. Uncle Bob's is the BEST storage facility I've ever used. Their customer service-- in person and via phone is second to none in this arena. Kimberlee and Christina are the managers at this location and they couldn't have been more personable or helpful if they tried. Smiles, enthusiasm and No BS guidance and walk-through. They even do their very best to SAVE you money, not rack up charges or surcharges. I cannot say enough about my experience here and hope that people will look at this is a premiere alternative to the 'big boys' that rely more on brand name than actual service. read more

It was a train wreck of a process taking me all day to try and set up. Knowing I needed 18 wheeler access they set me up at a premium of a cost compared to other locations. When I went to sign they couldn't offer what they said. I then get a follow up call from them pretty much telling me I'll just need to sort it out for myself from there. After that I got another call back saying she was sorry for the way the call went and she would sort it out. That didn't happen either and I am now backed against the wall and have to get a place 20 miles out. Poor service through the whole experience only to be ignored when it was time for them to fix there errors. I would stay away. read more

In essence, the Manager only cares about getting your money. The space is clean and cool but the customer service is lacking. They really don't seem to care about the long term relationship with the customer as long as they get your money now. Tread carefully and make sure, before you give them any money, that you are certain about your dates, because you won't get it back. read more

I love Life Storage at this location! The facility is brand new, super clean and very nice. Easy access for customers but extremely very well protected and safe. All of the employees are extremely nice and helpful and they always make everything easy. The store manager Matt goes above and beyond. I recently had a C-section but I had to get some boxes out of my storage unit. Matt walked up with me, loaded the boxes onto the cart and then walked down and loaded them in my car for me!
