In addition, countless treasured family heirlooms, keepsakes, photographs, and personal belongings that had been entrusted to the company are gone. Many of these items had been in my family for decades and were truly irreplaceable. These were not simply boxes of possessions. They were precious reminders of my parents, my family's history, and a lifetime of memories that can never be recreated. The emotional impact of these losses has been overwhelming. When I came in to sign the paperwork, Pam, the manager at the unit would not honor the 50% off for the first month. Just to add insult to injury, I came in first yesterday, arrived at the unit at 12:55PM, and there was no one in the office. I called the 1-800 line who told me that the office closes at 1PM on Thursdays (not the posted hours) and when I reminded them that it was not 1PM yet they unapologetically said that the owner must be at one of his other locations. So... two wasted trips of 20 minutes each way, another 25 minutes wasted with Pam, and a cancelled contract because they wouldn't honor the rate I booked. To be clear, the unit is now on line again at the same price, with the same special. I needed it for at least a year. Crooks.
