I just took my course yesterday with the instructor was Alex Hernandex. I am gonna be honest, CPR classes are just not my thing and inline to torture for me, but this class is as good as anyone can make an awful class like this which is a huge compliment to Life Saving Certified. I have the attention span of a gnat with stuff like this so although the course was grueling, Alex was a great instructor whom was very informative and personable. He also played a cool video for us (which was the only video I enjoyed) about a town doing CPR on a man from Dateline. My only suggestions for the course would be to allow the ultra boring Heart Association videos to be viewed at home and a have an in class practice of about 30 minutes to cut back on in class time (the Heart Association videos are super lame and super boring). I took a CPR class like this from another company where we watched the videos at home and just came in for a 30 minute skills test which worked far better for me (and which I will do next time when I am not in a time crunch). Overall, a great place, but as I said the next class I take I will be looking for the online instruction and the 30 minute practice test to avoid so much classroom time. Hopefully this place will offer that in the future and then I will certainly be back! read more

First let me say if you're between considering going or not , Go! When you sign up with the course you are given a pre-test which is the best study material for the course along with the book. Don't fret, you can take the pretest as many times as needed to get a passing score, if you pay attention and take notes you'll most likely only take it twice. It takes about 20 min-30 to get thru. I took the ACLS course and am a nursing student, I was scared the first time so they happily rescheduled me but with just a couple hours of honest studying the week before I was prepared and passed! Best class ever! Jonathan was an amazing instructor and explained alot that was not in the video and made sure we fully understood the video. Instructor Jonathan went into the depths about child CPR, Adult CPR and even infant CPR. I have a learning disability and with him breaking everything down so everyone could fully understand was amazing. I'm also a Emt student and first thing i thought was dang I wish this CPR instructor was my EMT instructor as well. Thank you Jonathan! I really enjoyed your class. I had to renew my BLS and ACLS certifications and I had a great experience doing so on a Saturday at Life Saving Certified in their Riverside location. My instructor was Alex, he was awesome! Alex was to the point when going over information, he provided good real-life analogies as he has been a working Paramedic in the field for many years. I even got a certificate to claim 8 hrs of CMEs for the training. If anyone needs to get for the first time or renew their BLS and ACLS certs, I highly recommend you do it at the Riverside location and with Alex, trust me you won't regret it! read more

Eric Rose was my instructor for my initial ACLS course and he was FANTASTIC. I was hesitant to attend my first ACLS class in general, but he made the experience understandable and comfortable. The learning environment was relaxed and he delivered the material in an animated, yet cohesive way. Not only are you learning valuable clinical skills, but he also applied what he was taught as well as his real-life experiences. I love this place. I've recently needed to get PALS and could not find a place that taught it within the timeline I needed. This place offered the class and I was the only one there. Alex did not cancel on me. I was so happy. He taught me in a way that not only could I understand, but used very practical examples. He's descriptive in a way a story teller is that doesn't get you lost or is not convoluted. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs certs. I plan to get all my certs here. read more

Just finished taking my PALS certification and this was without a doubt the BEST place. The environment was comfortable and relaxed. The instructor Alex was by thefar the greatest, he made everything easy to understand and was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs ACLS or PALS. Life Saving Certified saved my life yesterday. My ACLS was set to expire at midnight and if I didn't get it renewed that day I would be suspended. I found the class on the AHA web site. I called the number 2hrs before the class started and was told I could still attend. They helped me register and even texted me a google map of the location. Alex Hernandez is a great instructor! Super awesome place to get certified in cpr. I did the BLS course with my classmates and Trevor made it super fun and entertaining... not like the stuffy, formal cpr class i did once before. He gave our group from my school a group discount and we will go back to him for our ACLS. I was extremely happy with the class and it made going in on a Saturday morning way better than what I was expecting. He is fast at responding to emails and is willing to work with you. read more

I recently took the BLS course, and it was great! From the very beginning, the owner and instructor of the course, Trevor, was very kind and he answered all of my questions via email. He helped me tremendously, so I knew this was the class to choose! And to no surprise at all, the class was informative, engaging, and to the point. I took the BLS class in order to receive my CPR card for my nursing program and was impressed by how structured and organized the class was. My instructor was Alex H. and he was a very professional yet cool instructor, he made every assignment and video easy to understand and helped with teaching us how to give chest compressions on the dummies that were there to help us learn. My instructor was Alex H a current paramedic and he was great! Having someone who is the first person on the scene to help really helped me. I also really enjoyed how he was able to just empathize the important things on what to do and what not to do. Alex is incredible! He presents BLS, ACLS, and PALS in an easy to understand and realistic presentation. He is respectful of my time and doesn't hold class for long periods. I enjoyed his real life examples. Having been through this many times as a nurse, it was refreshing not to have to rehash all the old stuff, but to have him cater the class to the people there. He made the class very understandable took time to explain situations that could occur in a professional setting as well as a person who has no cpr experience. Trevor provided the First Aid CPR AED training at our management workshop and it was the BEST!! Normally sitting through all the book, video, etc. training loses you, but Trevor's "realistic" way of performing the training was excellent! He keeps the class light, but gives you the tools you need to possibly make a difference in keeping someone alive until the responders arrive on scene. read more
