The "store manger" Isabella on the second floor Lids is RUDE. I called to ask a question the other lids store and they were helping look up my receipt and couldn't find it so they transferred me to Isabella because they assumed I purchased from her store. When I asked my questions she immediately turned me down and said that wasn't allowed yet the other store manager was able to do it for me. When she asked me questions she would interrupt me every single time I tried to answer and would continue to talk over me. I asked about an exchange and she was insinuating I wanted to return. I asked a yes or no question and she just kept talking nonsense as if I was stupid. When I asked her to please stop interrupting me she became hostile with me. When I asked for the manager she swore she was the manager and when I asked for a corporate number she said she wasn't allowed to give me any information. You guys need to stop giving these little girls leader roles and focus on teaching customer service. read more

Terrible. Not so much the store specific, but the policies. If you buy online more than one cap, they don't let you exchange. If you buy a cap let's say in Vegas, for a Vegas team but need to return it in La, they won't let you. Just stupid practices. Stop buying from the corporate shit hole. read more

I ordered from Lids online, the hat they sent didn't fit so I returned it for a refund. Little did I know that they charge you 10 dollars to return the item and they ship all the items in your order separately so that means 10 dollar each return if you decide to return the items. Service was awful. The 2 guys that worked there were extremely rude when answering a question. Could have easily just said they don't do embroidery for teams- but they said it with such an ugly tone. Degrading and demeaning. The worst customer service the guy looked like he just rolled out of bed and smelled awful. On top of that, he was on his phone the entire time. The employees at this location were SO kind and patient with my kids. I have 3 boys...who like to look at stuff and figure out how things work, like how do signs fit into the slot holders? How does the embroidery machine work? Anyway...they very kindly and patiently answered questions and directed them away from things they shouldn't touch. They embroidered my son's little league hat with his name and number, when another location said they wouldn't. And it looked GREAT! I recommend this location. read more

Horrible customer service. I bought a white bucket hat here a week or so ago. I opted for another one from another retailer so I decided to return this one from lids. The hat in question was sitting in its original bag in the trunk of my car for a week. Day of the return, I put the hat into a bag of returns I had to make for the day and it must've either got dusty in the car or somehow caught dust while I changed bags. The sales associate literally refused to take my hat back even though it was never worn, tags were in tact, and I had my receipt. It's a white hat, obviously the slightest bit of dust can show on it. I even wiped it off and it came off immediately in front of him and yet he still refused to take it back. Not saying a word and just looking at me like I was trying to pull a fast one on him. Completely ridiculous, super offensive, and horrible treatment of your customers. I'll never buy anything from this place again. read more

If I was able to do 0 stars I would but I can't. Me and my friends came in to get custom embroidered hats when we were telling the worker what we wanted to get stitched he was giving a bit of attitude but after we handled it we left to eat and came back 2 hours later and we still have to wait another hour. After we all got our hats we looked at the stitching and we were very disappointed as the stitching was completely off and disordered I will show a picture of the worst stitching. Kyle was the worker handling all of this and we told him about the stitching and he said he won't do anything and asked us to leave. My custom embroidery hat not only came in 2 days late but it did not came out not the way I asked for, I told him if he can contact the employee Carlos (Their embroidery technician) who missed something when he wrote down what I wanted so Jeremy tell me he couldn't contact him or his manager & he couldn't do anything about it but a refund. We've received pretty awful service here before from other people, but Issac is one of the most attentive, thoughtful, and cheerful associates I've ever encountered. I contacted Lids and they told me the type of file the embroidering machine would need since they couldn't guarantee the file conversion in time. With the information they provided me I found someone online to create the correct file from my graphic. When I arrived at the store the associate was polite, patient and professional and within an hour they had made a sample and a finished product. ATTN: This review is a message for the company itself and not necessary this location. I recently ordered a "Super Bowl Bound" jersey on the Lids website to be shipped to me next day and have in time for the big game. The problem? After I placed the order I was informed upon viewing my confirmation email that I would not receive my item until 2/17 (I ordered 1/30) that is not "Next Day" delivery. I chatted in and received a refund which I'm satisfied with however I wanted to come on here in the hopes that it might reach someone higher up in the Lids company. If you guys are going to be selling Jerseys that aren't made yet or there is a delay in shipping due to COVID or whatever your excuse is "Next Day" delivery should not be an option. Next Day would've been 1/31-2/1 at the latest and if IT WAS going to ship out 2/17 YOU GUYS SHOULDVE made that more clear (AS IN CAPITAL BOLD FACE RED LETTERS) that it won't ship until 2/17. Now I won't have my gear in time for the Super Bowl and I'll probably have to drive down to SOFI to get a jersey. I could not be more frustrated with the way it was sprung on me after the fact, and again- this is not based on this location, or the person who handled my refund- this is more me expressing my dismay with the fact that Lids is selling Jerseys they don't have on hand and charging expedited shipping. Prices are high but for some reason- all hats are a rip off everywhere nowadays. The 5 Star review is for an awesome employee who took her time to show me different fonts, font sizes and color combos for a hat I made. Great color selections... Tons of styles and sizes to chose from. It is just a little difficult for me to pay $34.99+tax for a fitted hat! I miss the days of $18!!! Haha JESSEELL (and yes I confirmed she spells it with all those double letters) was very patient with my two sons and I as we each designed a hat. Different ideas and color combos. She never once appeared frustrated or bothered. Jesseell was cracking jokes with my sons and treated them like important customers. All this while she was helping train a new employee and attending to other customers. Oh, did I mention it was also closing time! Jesseell stayed 30minutes passed the mall closing time to finish our hats! All in all, we are all happy with what Jesseell helped us design! The hats came out very nice and she waited for my 13yr old to figure out what he wanted to ensure I received a 20% off discount on his hat! Great patience and a fun friendly smile made this a 5 Star review! If her manager was there, I would have made a point to speak with him/her. This girl deserves a raise!!! The only issue I have with this store is the manager Stephanie. I went in one day to grab a gift and she didn't greet me at all and was on FaceTime or a phone call with someone while multiple people were in the store. I think that's very unprofessional for someone being manager. This isn't the first time someone in my family has had an issue with this particular manager. Only recommend asking for I believe the other girl there and one of the guys (didn't get their names) great employees and very helpful and funny. read more

Robbyn, the manager is RUDE and has an attitude problem. There was a customer before me who was giving her trouble and I can tell that she was beginning to get frustrated. I actually felt bad for her, but as soon as she begins to help me, she gives me attitude for no reason. I bought a hat from here and I didn't like it, so I returned it 5 days later. The refund did not go through, so I called to ask what happened. She told me to bring in the receipt so I did. When I went in, she gave me an attitude and said, "instead of coming in here, you should have called customer serviceeeee." Ummm...you told me to come in AND I never had an incident when a refund did not go through. Also, why would I think about calling customer service when I didn't even buy it online. I know that customer service is not limited to online purchases, but most people like to settle things in-stores when they purchase things in-store. Nothing was settled. Robbyn did not even apologize even though it was their fault since they were having a computer malfunction. I understand that you have no control over these things, but do not take your anger/frustration out on me! Now, I have to fax them my receipt and bank statement if I want a refund. Product quality: It was okay one of the hats where fine, but the other white hat that I bought had a defect on the color. Price: Special / Deal with discount Discrepancy: So I walked in happy and very picky about what I like at Lids. I tried on some LA hats to sport and rock because I like the Dodgers of course I am a fan of the team. So I bought a black and gold hat new era fitted cap because that is what I like. I did not have a problem with that black and gold, but I did not like the other hat and asked for an exchange. They gave me my request for exchange and got a nicer looking white cap until the manager either purposely or accidentally marked my new white cap with a red pen. I will never forget this manager she did not know what she was doing at the time. She also asked me if I did not like it to exchange it within the date of the receipt before the request of exchange becomes invalid due to policy. I think she was exhausted, but still I pay my own money for some quality products only to be heartbroken. I know it is material but I paid it and I think Lids deserves this review just to let people know to be careful and to look out for these type of janky services not just here but everywhere. I left the store feeling uneasy about my purchase I even tried washing it out, but nothing it was permanently marked like a scar. So I think everyone should be very aware of how these employees, and in store managers can treat you and your interest of purchase. Not happy with the store at all. When I walked in first thing I heard was one of the girls complaining to the other coworker about private things. As I was going through the whole store either of the girls not once asked if I would need help looking for a particular hat even when I made it obvious that I needed some customer service. 10 minutes later once later once I saw what I was looking for I finally got the attention of the other work that had just got to her shift and it seemed like I was bothering her as she was eating her food at the front counter. She finally put her food down to gwt a har for me. I for one will never come back to this store because of the poor customer service I was given. I ordered a hat online to then pick up in this store as a christmas present for my boyfriend. When I first came to pickup the hat in store, a few days after I had been emailed saying that it was shipped, I was informed that it was not there yet and that I had to wait until they called me telling me they had it. All staff acting as if I was completely incompetent for not knowing I was supposed to wait for a call, even though there's no way I could have known. I then waited for a call. It never came. Fed up with waiting, on January 6th, two weeks later, I called the store to ask if it had come in. They said that they had it there and that it had been waiting for me since December 28th. I was infuriated to know that I could have come and gotten it for the past 10 days but they never gave me that call. When I came in later that day, initially the manager could not find my order and insisted that they didn't even have it. After trying to tell him that one of his employees had told me earlier that day that it was in stock, another employee finally came out from the back with my order. As much as I was happy to have my order, I was very upset that they had never called. On January 8 I received an email from Lids telling me my order had been cancelled due to inventory. I went online to search for another gift for my Ron Santo fan- friend. I saw an item listed as "Chicago Cubs Ron Santo Mounted Memories Ron Santo Framed Black Cat 8X10" (WORD FOR WORD THE SAME AS WHAT I HAD PURCHASED.) I live chatted with "Laura" who told me that they had 3 in stock. I asked for a manager. Told the manager and was informed that "The one you purchased had a different SKU number!" Oh really. He then said, "The one you purchased was regularly $289.00 it had a wooden frame, the one we are currently selling isn't as nice it's in a plastic frame so it's $259.00. I said, "Fine, since the description didn't include what kind of frame, I'll take the cheaper one." He said, "We'd be wiling to give you a discount of $20. (bringing my total to $239.00. "So let me get this straight. You are willing to sell me a crappier version of the thing I bought last week for $99.00 more!!! He repeated that the SKU number was different. I said, "Well the descriptions are identical." Reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Called and was disconnected three times trying to speak to a manager. Eventually spoke to a very nice manager named Kennetha however she could only offer me a $20 gift card. I declined saying "I just want what I paid for at the price I paid."
