The associates are friendly, welcoming, and genuine. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I noticed they recognized and acknowledged repeat customers. That's impressive, especially considering the number of tourists who visit the store. Another thing I appreciated is that they don't overwhelm you with emails. Their emails are event-focused and purposeful, which is refreshing. You're paying for quality, craftsmanship, and unique items you won't find just anywhere. She wrapped up my wind chime and bagged the card (now discovered to be two). When I got home, I phoned them right away when I saw the other card was stuck to it! I explained what happened and asked to pay for the mishap! Gigi was extremely helpful in figuring out how I could do so and thanked me for my honesty. I'm just glad we could sort it out! Here you can find a wide variety of hand-crafted goods. And there is quite a myriad of objects on display. There are a large number of hand-woven bags, rugs and tapestries for use or display (or both). One wall is almost entirely devoted to jewelry. And there's a very large collection of pottery, including bowls, dishes and coffee mugs. This place is an excellent place to shop for those who are intrigued by foreign cultures. And the prices are extremely reasonable. And besides for being reasonable, you can find nice pieces in the under ten dollar range, well into the one hundred and fifty or more. There really is something for any budget. I was greeted when I entered the store and asked if I needed help...but was not asked every five minutes (something that I see as a major plus). This store seems to cater to the white and 60+ set (that's all there was at the store both times I've visited) and if you don't fit that demographic, they don't care you'll be dropping $5-600. I wanted to support a local business but I rather make the drive back to the country mart than give my money to a shop that does not value all of their shoppers. Perhaps I expect too much out of my shopping experience, but now more than ever (pandemic) I want my limited entries to shops to be memorable. I ended up getting a cool lil dagger that was within my price range. It was so nice that Kat was able to put in the earring for me and transfer the temporary one back to my lobe as well. Absolutely recommend this studio!!…read more I made an appointment online for a hidden helix and two lobe piercings, and I had such a great experience from start to finish. 1.) The studio is incredibly clean! Everything felt very organized and sanitary. Each piece of jewelry is sterilized for 7-9 minutes before being used, and the jewelry displays were spotless and beautifully organized by brand. Every piece they carry is gorgeous, so be prepared to have a hard time choosing! 2.) Friendly, patient, and knowledgeable staff My appointment was with Boge, and while I was waiting, Lev helped me choose my jewelry. Both were incredibly kind and patient, especially because I am very indecisive. They never pressured me to choose anything and were happy to show me different jewelry sizes, talk through my options, and help me calculate the total cost. 3.) Honest advice and genuine customer care This was probably what impressed me the most. I originally came in wanting a hidden helix, but Lev actually advised me against getting one at this time because of the potential healing concerns with my ear anatomy and piercing history. They also took into consideration my upcoming events and helped me plan which piercings to get first and when it would be best to get the others. Although I was initially disappointed that I couldn't get the hidden helix, I really appreciated their honesty. They easily could have done the piercing, but instead prioritized what they felt would be best for my healing. That made me feel like they genuinely cared about me as a customer rather than just making a sale. And the customer care went above and beyond! I hadn't eaten before my appointment because I was nervous, and Boge noticed and offered me one of her own chewy granola bars so I wouldn't risk feeling faint. Such a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me. 4.) Fixed my messed up Claire's Piercing I had a piercing on my right ear that was pierced at the worst location as I have a mole there so I never bothered wearing earrings. Boge was able to work her magic and made everything look even! Please see my photos for before and after. Seamless experience (I have a super low pain tolerance and prone to fainting with needles). She was so kind and talked me through it all and let me lay in the chair for a bit before even getting up. I never felt rushed, pressured, or uncomfortable at any point. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, and I left feeling really confident about my piercing plan. how sad. does anyone even care that this is one of the last remaining antique shops on mission in…read moresouth pas? the rest have been closed and replaced by trendy clothing boutiques, interior design crap holes and effen Bellini - the Barney's NY of baby-world. i have to frequent these places partially out of fear they may succumb to a demise not unlike the Rialto but mostly because although I can't identify the proper use of most of the utensils sold here, I still love them. the place smells of old dust, but you cant see any of it. it's quiet; they could probably use better lighting and some music. but it's filled with books, dolls, drapery, furniture, china, pictures, records, jewelry - everything. it's a hodgepodge, really, but what antique store isn't? out of my own curiosity, i'd love to be able to sit and rummage through some of the boxes and closed cabinets, but things are piled upon piles and even closed off - that's probably my only gripe. that, and the gold fish tank they have there looks a little grimy. someone needs to change their water.
