Okay.... if you are coming in here for just a certain item, you might as well hang that up. You are going to leave out with a bunch of stuff! Lidl is described as a Scandinavian grocery store similar to Aldi except you don't need to pay a quarter for the carts. If you don't wanna to pay for the bags. Bring in your own recyclable bags (you bag your own at the register). Omg... I was shocked with the value and quality of their foods. So dirt cheap. Where do I begin... The bakery has a wide selections of pastries, cakes, breads and more.. fresh everyday. The vegetable section is fresh and a wide variety of certified organics. Very impressed with their oils and seasoning section. For the price, you cannot beat how much they have. From truffle oil, grape seed, avocado, garlic... you name it, they have it. The seafood and meat section is worth trying as well as their dairy section. Plus they have a miscellaneous section for household goods. My favorite that I geeked out the most was the beer and wine section! You can get a decent Malbec, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon for 4.99. I was blown away that I got brut, Prosecco, and Riesling for under 7.99 a bottle. I was able to score a tripel Belgium (beer) for my Mr back home. This place has so much to offer and I was pretty impressed with the products. Make sure to download their app for discounts (rewards program for free). Wish they had a location in Cincinnati!

This is a bigger Aldi really but it's new and something different for Augusta so I for one, welcome it. Yes, it doesn't have the selection of Publix and Kroger. Yes, it doesn't have really fancy shmancy gourmet items like Fresh Market but it also has unique items that you won't find anywhere else and has all your basic essentials so that's a plus. Here are some snippets I heard while perusing the aisle: "They don't have a butcher. I don't trust the meat in the plastic packages." You'd rather they sit out in the open air for you to hand pick it god knows how many hours later? "It's awfully crowded here." And it's opening week. "I don't know any of these brands" That's the idea. They're Lidl brands and they stand behind it. So if you don't like it, bring it back. "It's awfully expensive" You kidding me? $1.49 for a pound of asparagus? Go away. I need to point out that I do not work at Lidl but I appreciate the healthier options they have, the European treats (that I reminisced about fondly while clearing the shelves) and the low prices on staples like lactose free milk ($2.49) and eggs ($1.49) and bread ($.99). Like any new business, they'll have their growing pains and they'll figure out their niche market and bring in items that will probably bring us back. I enjoy finding a big tub of Big League Chew just steps away from fresh herbs. The layout is confusing for sure, but interesting at least.

What a crazy grocery store/mini-mall outlet? Walking down one aisle with fresh baked goodies to walking down one with Heidi Klum dresses and shoes it was a bit wild. Such odd finds to be had here but the prices were reasonable and I did find it quite fun checking out the items in this clean store of eclectic goods. I also enjoyed the fact that paper bags are used. Good paper bags w handles. I miss the days when they were staple. Only tip, make sure you have time to explore on your first trip here!

Felt like I was in Germany. Great wine and cheese collection! Bring your own bags. Bakery is amazing! Organic milk 99cents

The handicapped side of the parking lot is very dark at night.

Store is always clean and quiet. Much lower prices than competitors. Carries same products and brands as other stores. Sells wine and beer.

One of my favorite stores. If you don't have a trader joe or Whole Foods near you this is a great alternative

The prices are definitely steep, even in comparison to somewhere like Publix. Whilst in the store, I saw several shady individuals smoking inside with backpacks on. Yet management didn't do anything about them. The second I exited the store I felt like I was going to get mugged. Some other shady individuals (whose pants were sagging) all were conjugating outside the entrance. One of them said to me, "Who you looking at N-slur." Another one asked, "What you have in the (grocery) bag N-slur" When I got to my car one of them was walking towards my car. Now I don't know if he was going to do anything, but the whole thing felt extremely sketchy. I wouldn't want to come back to the store unless they had some sort of security to keep thugs and rift-raft out. Because unless you want to be mugged, shopping here isn't a great investment!

So when I say I have frequented this Kroger location for almost the entirety of my 15 years in Augusta, that means something. I will also note that means I stuck with them through the early waves of COVID-19, as they had already implemented curbside pickup months before the statewide shut down. I have seen the location go through major renovations, including product placement and the increase of self-checkout lanes. But some things (and very important ones at that) have remained the same. The customer service here is universally top notch. From team members who bring out your groceries and load them in the trunk to the person overseeing self-checkout to the pharmacy, they are always helpful, patient, and kind. My interaction with the bakery has been minimal, but it too has always been a positive experience. I appreciate their overall selection, their organic-all natural options, and yes even their clearance section (it's like a treasure hunt every time I visit). One item I feel is underappreciated is their in-house sushi. You can get a single roll (only $5 on Wednesday's) or order an entire tray. Quality at a great pice. Also worth mentioning is their NA options. Samuel Adams, Guinness, Athletic Brewing, and Hop Water are all there. I will be coming here until the day I depart Augusta.

I'm not sure why it closed or if Harvey's the new supermarket is taking over Bi-Lo locations. The setup seemed the same, but of course the branding was different. The pricing seemed a bit higher than Kroger, which is where I usually shop because of the savings and card perks. They did have a section where everything was $1. I didn't browse it since I was in a rush. There is plenty of parking because it is located in a plaza. There was tons of buzz about this place because they have great prices on some things that cost much more around town. For instance, I picked up two packs of bone-in, thick cut pork chops for a little over $3. It was about 7 in each pack. You couldn't beat that price with a stick!!! There were tons of other deals around the store but, that was just an example of how this store was needed for the budget conscious consumer like myself!!!! They also have a $1 aisle were there are all types of things that are $1 each. I've heard some of my friends already say they will never shop anywhere else for groceries again. I'm not going to say that because I can find deals almost anywhere I shop. This store also redeem and reward you with the Plenti rewards program. I was already a member of that program so I didn't have to sign up, but if you're not it's a breeze to do so. This place is definitely one to check out and see what kind of amazing deals you can find for yourself!!!
