It is very hot in the summer time, IMO. I sweat easily but the breeze down near the savannah river is amazing. This market has something for everyone. Amazing food, handmade items such as soaps, jewelry, apparel, and cups. They have a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits locally grown. The flowers from the florists are beautiful. Very family friendly and a great way to spend any Saturday. They are open weekly March- November.

The market in Augusta is an impressive sight, with a historic looking street and a path through to the riverwalk being lined with various merchants. It was less of a food source than I'd expected; there were a couple of farmer's stands but that certainly was not the majority. Among the cooked food, the vegetarian-friendliness wasn't high and there were limited options for me. They were advertising some kind of event for sex trafficking awareness and many people were walking through on a nice day.

Lots to see, eat and listen to at this Saturday market. Love the live music and the variety of vendors.

Wow! So happy the Augusta Market has grown so much and diversified! When I started coming a few years ago, it was produce, a few crafters, and mostly Southern cuisine type foods you could get for lunch. Now it's bustling with a variety of food from all over the world with local families using their home recipes to serve the community: Colombian, Indian, Puerto Rican, Korean, Phillipino, Southern cuisine, Vietnamese, and more. I love going each week to try something new! It's great seeing so many people supporting local businesses and trying foods they never would have before. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and grown locally, prices are comparable to super markets. Everyone is so humble here! Love it and highly recommend when in Augusta!

Love going to the Augusta market on Saturday. It's fun going by yourself or with friends and family. The market is kid friendly. Some days they even have a petting zoo. There's so many options for food and really diverse choices (Korean, barbecue, shrimp and grits, hot dogs, street tacos, fillipeno). I usually eat and shop and pick up some extra for leftovers. I also love supporting local farmers and getting my produce. The berries, fruits and veggies are fresh and great quality. There is also no shortage of desserts from cakes, pies, cheesecake you name it. There are also stands selling various crafts (welcome signs and wreaths), goodies like sauces, kettle corn, etc.

Super refreshing and will fuel you during the heat.

A place worth visiting. This street market is full of life and options. There is food, jewelries, drinks, stuff, laughter and music. An overall good vibe persists in this market. Stroll through the vendors, listen to their pitches, show some support, get some snacks. Once shopping is done, go to the Riverwalk at the end. Enjoy live music or take a stroll and a few pics. Parking available right next to the market. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Augusta. Carpe Diem good people.

The Augusta Saturday Market is something I look forward to every Saturday! It's small, yet there are many vendors. There are vendors selling all types of foods from food, to clothing, animals... There is ample parking across the street and there's a small parking lot next to it. It reopened about a month ago and my favorite vendors were there!!! I love the pina colada truck, the Panama food, and there's a lady that sells red velvet cake and it's so moist, tastes like your grandmother made it. The Pina Colada truck makes the drinks to order and they're non-alcoholic, of course. I always get a small mango pina colada and it touches the spot each time. The small is $5 I believe, I normally spend about $15 because I get one for my kids as well. They do have other flavors- there's banana, peach, and pineapple. They even have an option where you can have your drink put into an Apple. Now the Panamanian food-- THIS FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!! I always order the Panamanian fish taco. The taco is made out of a fried bread that they make to order and mahi mahi (I think). I pay about $6 for a small taco, it's more than enough. I can't leave out Kona Ice. The lady that runs it is so sweet and they have so many flavors to choose from. I get mango and green apple every time I go and it's $4/5 for a small I buy little trinkets here and there as well, but for the most part, I go for the food and the cool breeze as I sit by the river.

I love a good Farmer's Market, and I must say that my hometown really makes me proud with this one. I stopped by after returning home to Augusta to give a community lecture on Diabetes at my father's family's church and came the Saturday Market with my Mom to sample what there there to offer and from the amazing jams, fresh vegetables, unique jewelry options, and delicious dessert all from local establishments and much more, I was so pleased with the selection and was delighted to support. The pictures I was able to snap were not even able to capture the selection and the experience. I believe they have closed shop for the season, but when they return, please do go, support your local artisans and farmers, and relish the experience.

So cute and packed in a good way! A lot of variety in food and goodies. Such good vibes and excited for more vendors to expand along the river. Flower vendors had beautiful flowers and food was amazing! I will definitely be coming back next and every weekend!

I absolutely love coming here on Saturday mornings. I even taken the littles and the doggo. I wish I could purchase everything I see when I go. There's so much variety, and so many things to eat, it's impossible to have everything. Believe me, I keep trying. Fresh fruits and veggies, fresh cut flowers, fried fish, shrimp & grits, lumpia, pancit. There's even a truck for my granddog. So if you want to do something besides eat (like me), you can peruse the jewelry, body care, crystals, candles. Like seriously, you name it, it's out there. A few vendors accept cash only (actually I can only remember one "cash only" sign). So a few actual dollars on hand, just in case. There is a paid parking lot right next to the market, but there's also lots of free parking. You may have to walk a block or two, but count it as a nice Saturday stroll to the market. OH!! I almost forgot...dress to try to stay cool. A hat, sunglasses & sunscreen could be useful

In more recent weeks, the Augusta farmers market has piqued my interest in homemade and homegrown things. I wholeheartedly believe there is no better place than the farmers market to do some shopping for fruits/veggies as well as to explore small businesses and all the incredible things they have to offer! I recommend going first thing in the morning when they've set everything up as to try to beat some of this Georgia heat! All the food smells amazing, there is always live music, and everyone running the stands are super friendly and answer each and every question we have. My favorite business by far is the crazy piña. They have some refreshing piña coladas to withstand the weather and it makes walking around the market much more enjoyable. Even though this is my favorite small business, I will always make my way around each and every stand regardless of if I make a purchase or not!

What a wonderful day to visit the Augusta Saturday Market on the River Walk, this year has some old favorite vendors and a lot of new vendors offering all kinds of product and services. We really enjoy the locally grown fresh vegetable and sampling the food vendors, our favorite is "The Hot Spot" serving fresh fish, fried green tomatoes, grits and more. Ms Reid and her granddaughters really do a great job in providing a delicious dish. I highly recommend the Saturday Farmers Market for supporting Augusta's local vendors or simply enjoying the River Walk.

I know I hide my country upbringing well (aside from the accent-it is what it is), but have no…read moredoubt it's still there. I'm talking the kind of country that grew up on homemade biscuits and fried bologna, syrupy sweet tea and banana pudding out the oven, vegetables from the garden or from the jar (but before that, the garden). Yep, rocking chair on the front porch with a fly swatter in one hand and slice of watermelon in the other. So when someone posts a review about the quality of the country cooking here and photos of cornbread and a porkchop, you know I was a bit skeptical. I perused the menu and saw that fried chicken (the true test of country cooking) is only served on Wednesday's. So on a Wednesday I made my maiden voyage to the potential land of newfound love. Like other categories of restaurant/cafe, I have staples with which to test the overall quality. That day; the aforementioned fried chicken, mashed potatoes (or taters if you're from the South), green beans, a square of cornbread, a slice of lemon cake, and a glass of sweet tea. Now before I walk you through my tastebuds visit to heaven let me backup and get you to the front door. Plug the address into GPS. It is tucked away in a corner, hidden behind another restaurant, and sharing a parking lot with yet another restaurant. Like I said, use your GPS. Parking was a challenge at lunch so come early. When you walk in, the line forms to the left hand side and may already be backed up to you. But if it's a first visit, that'll give you time to see everything on the hot bar (written on the glass directly in front of you) and decide on which dessert(s) you want. Those are in the cooler in the middle (ranging from a slice of cake to slice of pie to banana pudding). After ordering you'll continue moving to the right until reaching the register. After paying, drinks are against the right hand wall. I personally recommend finding a seat in the "overflow" section (that's what it looks like to me). You'll find it around the corner, with four person tables awaiting. There are a few outside, with umbrellas, if the weather is right that day. Now back to my food ecstasy trip. I asked one of the team members floating around pouring tea just how sweet it was. She said something about "...cups of sugar" and the rest was a blur. I already knew it would be on point. I shared how I grew up with it leaving a sheen on your lips. She chuckled and stated I should be satisfied then with theirs. And I was. I had to slow myself down due to the knowledge too much before eating will leave you feeling nauseous. My lunch arrived, but it did not rest upon my plate long. I sampled the sides and cornbread then went straight for the wing. The chicken breast soon followed. I came up for air just long enough to get a refill of tea before intaking the lemon cake. The balance of sweet and tart, the airyness of the icing, and the moisture of the cake were all pure perfection. I debted going back for a slice of the strawberry, but already felt a food nap approaching. I am heartbroken that this was my first visit (as it has been around since 2017), but my wounds shall be healed with the application of more (and more) amazing food. Stop by today! Or at least the day they serve a item you really love. And don't forget dessert! Sidenote: With the fried chicken, you can choose between light or dark meat.

Food was good. Served quickly and everyone is super nice. Limited seating. Its not fancy but good…read morediner food.

The prices are definitely steep, even in comparison to somewhere like Publix. Whilst in the store, I saw several shady individuals smoking inside with backpacks on. Yet management didn't do anything about them. The second I exited the store I felt like I was going to get mugged. Some other shady individuals (whose pants were sagging) all were conjugating outside the entrance. One of them said to me, "Who you looking at N-slur." Another one asked, "What you have in the (grocery) bag N-slur" When I got to my car one of them was walking towards my car. Now I don't know if he was going to do anything, but the whole thing felt extremely sketchy. I wouldn't want to come back to the store unless they had some sort of security to keep thugs and rift-raft out. Because unless you want to be mugged, shopping here isn't a great investment!
