I love Publix! Especially this one! Very clean and organized unlike other places. Meat is high quality, so is their produce too. Where the real gold is at, is their bakery. Everything is fresh and very tasty. When I think of this Publix I think of what grocery stores looked like in the 50s (I'm no where near that old but based on what I've seen.) Most supermarkets are very grey and doll and depressing, but not Publix. Service is also quite good too. I would recommend Publix: you get what you pay for. read more

In Augusta, the farther away you get from the city's ostensible downtown, the better the grocery stores look. This one is just before things start getting rural, but still only fifteen minutes or so from the city. It is bigger and nicer-looking than I was expecting, and I was surprised with what I found, including some nice brands of niche items like banana milk and my red beans and rice of choice. The way their prices are displayed has small text and a lot of signs for things that don't really matter, so it's hard to tell what's actually on sale and what you're paying for. I was a bit surprised that they had no self-checkout, but even on a Sunday I found an old-fashioned checkout lane and had my stuff bagged for me, so it was a reasonably successful shopping experience. read more

Like most Publix stores Fury Ferry location gives great customer services with friendly smiles. The store is well kept and always have fresh produce. However, this review is mainly about the ladies in the Bakery department. They were eager to provide the custom cake my 16 year old requested. Very satisfied with the cake. I love being able to walk into a Publix in basically any town and knowing exactly where almost everything is. For some reason, it all makes sense at Publix. And this particular Publix is my favorite because they will special order items and remember your seemingly large flanken cut shortrib orders. This is also the only place that will give you a straight answer about why certain items can't be stocked so at least you're not left spinning your wheels. Publix has what has to the best bakery inside a grocery store and watching the ladies apply icing to the cakes is both fascinating and enthralling. I consistently buy at least 6 petit fours, a cannoli, and prepared pasta salad on top of whatever it is I actually came in for. I've yet to try a sandwich because every time I look in that direction, there's such a long line! Even though it's not the biggest grocery store around, it certainly does have the best selection of basically everything. I find the best produce, a nicer selection of beer, and such great cups of fruit that encourages me to not go back and buy more brownies and cookies from the bakery. I love Publix! I grew up going to this one since it was pretty close to my house. The store is brightly lit and well stocked. I really liked what Publix has done with their packaging of Publix-brand items. It looks very chic. The produce section is massive, and I like the stash of organic/foreign goods right next to it. I remember eating tons of strawberries and Pineapple from here and they were always sweet. Publix runs these mystery coupons in the ads. You bring in the coupon and pay 1 cent to get the item. Sometimes they have some good stuff, like a gallon of juice, or a box of macaroni, etc. The white mountain bread here is pretty amazing... I used to live on this while growing up here. I wish I could have a Publix around the corner wherever I end up. read more

Not calling and saying a very much needed prescription is ready, KNOWING you're closing early and not everyone knows this as this is a new thing. Now I have to wait until 9am for a medication I NEED. CONSISTENCY IS APPRECIATED! After having a lackluster breakfast that did not include vegetables, I immediately started looking for a Publix where I knew that I would be able to get a nice bowl of soup and some protein. This store popped up on my Yadar and it was the perfect antidote. I was able to get some spring vegetable soup and three of the grilled Fiesta wings. This perfectly hit the spot and I was able to continue on with my day! I absolutely love the idea of vegetable soup for breakfast because it is healthy and satisfying. I really appreciate the fact that Publix always has a fresh vegetable soup option available on their soup bar. When I initially entered the store, I noticed the demo booth and went over to ask the young lady about her products. She had fresh zucchini and summer squash with sliced sausages in a vinaigrette and it was delicious. I made my husband get one so that he could hand it over but it actually ate most of it after telling me that he didn't want one because of his heavy breakfast. Anyway, the veggies were crisp and the dish was well seasoned. I took a recipe card so that I could replicate this dish later. The ladies who work in this area were very polite and service oriented. Overall, the store was clean and orderly and our check out time was minimal. read more

I came in with a late order for a party today, and instead of turning me around for not being within the 24hr request window, they took my order because it was still hours out. Pharmacy at Publix Furys Ferry associate Jennifer at the pharmacy counter on several occasions rude As a customer & a stock holder : My husband a few months ago was at the pharmacy getting refills he said he didn't need all that was filled Jennifer replied in a rude tone "you should let us know you didn't want them all filled!"!!! He replied "last time I was in I asked that to StOP the auto fill ". So he just walked away! I was grocery shopping & so I went over to get his meds! Since he told me she argued with him! Jennifer said he yelled at me when I asked for his meds! I told her you must have been rude as my husband is a very kind man & you really have to be rude really rude to get him upset ! Jennifer continued to complain I said just give me the meds! So I go back a in 3 months as he has them filled every 90 days So I call to see about filling his Rx, Jennifer answered phone when I asked she puts me on hold transfer me to the Pharmacist So I ask him about the Rx he says that 3 are ready So I go back after 3 months to pick up His meds. I'm talking to the pharmacist (man) talking about Easter Jennifer pops over where we are & says again he yelled at me!! Should we transfer his Rx to another pharmacy? This is so unlike Public to continue to have a rude associate I told Jennifer your supposed to be nice to the customers, she walks away & gives me a look Totally unacceptable behavior! I'm hope the manager pharmacy who I was talking with does something about her actions!! Really ,how unprofessional is this?!? I hold Publix stock! This isn't acceptable!! read more

The parking lot and front of the store is clean and there is a traffic light near by for ease of getting out. The inside of the store is clean as well. It has the familiar publix lay out. This store is smaller than most publix which means they do not have as large of selection on some items. We found everything that we needed and we were happy with the experience for the most part. They need to add another buggy return or two as we had to return the buggy to the store and would explain why there were some abandoned buggies strewn through out the parking lot. read more
