One of the larger conventional grocery stores in the area. The selection of vegetables wasn't evident near the entrance, and when I walked to the far side of the store where they were hidden, it wasn't the most impressive produce selection either; okay quality, but not that much quantity. Sale items weren't overly numerous, but I maximized my opportunities and walked out at 30% off of list price. There were definitely some things worth eating, but eating healthy diverse cuisine requires a bit more selection. Self-checkout stations were reasonably numerous. read more

Went today to pick up a few things and I stopped by the deli to purchase a sub. I ordered a boar's Head ultimate sub that included ham, turkey, and salami. It was reasonably priced at $7.79 (for the foot long), for the ovengold meat it would've been a dollar cheaper. I always get my subs fairly simple with lettuce and tomatoes. It was pretty tasty (as usual). I did have a bit of a wait to get my sandwich because there was only one person working. About 10 minutes later someone else showed up to assist. They do offer online ordering so I may utilize that service in the future. read more

Had to wait 50 minutes for a sandwich I ordered online. They didn't start making it until I got to the store 40 minutes after ordering it, mean while making people's orders who were there in person first. If you tell someone a pick up time, make the order for that time. Will be a while until I come back here. read more

I was actually disappointed after my visit today. I only went to get food from the deli because I'm in a hotel and I couldn't find anything else I wanted. The hot food looked old and dry and there wasn't much to choose from. It was only 6:00 pm so they should have been more prepared for the dinner crowd. read more

I come here to get THEE BEST fruit bowls! The sweetest, never bitter strawberries, honey dew, cantaloupe and watermelon are already cut up in a bowl of various sizes and combos! Sweet pineapple and grapes are an understatement at this grocery. I've even had my fIrst taste of sushi from this store over 15 years ago! Been shopping here since the mid/late '90's and the experiences are still just as sweet as their fruit! Always clean store, quiet atmosphere for extra ease of shopping, thinking, comparing and opting for something new. I never mind the drive to come shop at THIS particular Publix OH and I ALWAYS get my birthday cakes from here with Publix brand Birthday Cake ice cream. read more

My favorite of the Publix stores. The employees are nice and extremely helpful. The store is clean and inventory is always fully stocked. People complain that Publix is pricey but it's not when compared to Whole Foods and Fresh Market. They have a weekly circular like most stores. Like any other store, you buy where you save. For my low carb Life: Just about any rotisserie chicken. And most of the Boar's Head deli meats. They have a Boar's Head nutrition book so you can see the carb count. read more

I'm disappointed in the deli. The rest of the store is great but the online ordering is sub par and that's putting it mildly. I gave this store more than a few chances thinking my experience might be a one off, but it wasn't. The past few times I've ordered deli meat or subs from the online ordering, it's never ready at the time it stated it would be. I waited over an hour yesterday waiting for my food to be put out, and when it wasn't I left without my order. This has happened more than once, and from now on I will drive the longer distance to the fury's ferry publix so I know I will be getting my order on time. The whole point of online ordering is so you can come in and pick up and be out without having to wait. I could understand if they were busy, but the employees were standing around talking and my order wasn't done. I'm done ordering from this deli and having to guess if I'm actually doing to get my order or not. :( read more

The subs and service have gone downhill greatly in the last few months. When I come in to get a sub I'm usually the only or the second person in line. Somehow it still takes a minimum of 20 minutes. Perhaps it's a peak time, but I'm still at most the second person in line and waiting forever. The woman who made my most recent sub didn't know how to make it either and I ordered off the Boars Head menu. She was confused and asked me to repeat myself twice and I pointed to the display board menu then still had to ask the guy next to her. Visiting my family - I just arrived from the west coast and after a long overnight flight was amazed by the excellent customer service of the young lady and young man in the deli - as well as the cleanliness of the store itself. I can only wish my local grocery stores both in the Bay Area and in Sacramento were as clean and bright and the young people working had as good an attitude as I just encountered. read more

I love Publix! After having recently moved here, I was disappointed that there were no Harris Teeters to be found. But I found Publix and was super impressed. Store is clean and very orderly, and they have a TON of buy one get one free deals on so many products! Btw, you don't have to get TWO of an item--you can just buy one and it will ring up as half off! They have an extensive deli and bakery, and all the employees are super helpful and friendly. I'd say my only gripe is that the deli and bakery are on the opposite end of the store as the fresh produce, which is a bit strange and untraditional in terms of grocery store layout. read more

I lived in Augusta several years before shopping at Publix. They had reputation for being pricey. But now I go often. You get some awesome deals with their BOGO's and they take Kroger coupons too. So now when I get Kroger coupon I'm like "awesome, a publix coupon :)" And John at bakery is super awesome! He hand picks out bread for me. My favorite is their Italian Five Grain. I like getting their baguettes and making my own garlic butter bread chips. Nom Nom. Their pizza dough is awesome. I stock up when it's BOGO. I love their cakes too. I came here to get concert tickets for a concert in Charlotte. This location doesn't carry local tickets, only tickets that are considered out of town. The process was very simple and not complicated. The Ticketmaster booth is located in front of the store in the customer service department. There was a little line but the employees handled it very well. The employee who was handling the Ticketmaster booth was very pleasant and joked with me about the concert that I am attending. She was very funny!!!! She explained everything about the tickets, the location, and how to maintain the tickets until the actually show. I didn't have any problems with this location and will probably be back here for other events outside the area!!!! read more

Its hard to review a grocery store but they get 4 stars for clean bathrooms.

Very nice place to grab groceries or a quick sandwich. I wandered in here the other day and my experience was very pleasant. They had everything that I was looking for fully stocked(which is something i cant say for some grocery chains around here) and the employees were friendly. One even took the time to personally walk me to an item that I had trouble locating instead of the usual "check aisle 10" that most people would have offered. Honestly, like seriously, does Publix hire only good people? I don't think that I've ever come across one with horrible employees or customer service. This one isn't any exception. They exceeded their job descriptions today.Today, while in a rush to run errands and get home, I forgot a bottle for the baby, and with me trying to get groceries and get out, I lost track of times. Well if you have experience with a newborn, you know when they're hungry, nothing will stop the crying but a bottle. Well the workers saw my frustration trying to run around and came to help me find the baby section. She even went above and beyond to wash the new bottle out for me, put the formula in, and help me get him calmed. I was very appreciative. And the cashiers and baggers helped out so much when I was checking out. I will come back here again and again. read more

I came to Augusta for my mom's surprise 80th birthday party on Saturday, April 01, 2017. I was in charge of ordering food and the cake. I always use Publix here in Central Florida and have not had a bad experience yet... ...until I ordered the cake from the Publix Bakery on the corner of Berckmans and Washington Rd. I place the order on Thursday night, after I arrived at my hotel, for pickup Saturday morning at 9:30 am. When we got to Publix on Saturday, everything was ready. The two (2) sandwich trays from the deli were perfect! However, the (1) one $49.99 1/2 sheet cake from the bakery was...odd? The main decorations--flowers and borders--were perfect. The handwriting and side swag was "beginner decorator" at best. The cursive "Happy 80th Birthday" was off-center and the letters/words were too close together. The "H" looked like a "K" and the zero in "80" looked like a teardrop! OMG! I had them scrape it off and try printing... a little better but still not really centered and didn't use whole space. This time the "Y" looks like?? And the side swag design, I unfortunately didn't notice because of the box, was absolutely "beginner" and sloppy. So disappointed in this Publix that I, or my family in Augusta, will never use again. For such a special occasion cake to be treated without concern is very disheartening...my mom's 80th birthday. read more

You're paying a premium on the goods when shopping at Publix, but it's SO WORTH IT! The customer service here is exceptional, especially in the deli. All the ladies working in the deli know how to make amazing deli sandwiches. I've also had to put in some last minute catering orders, and these guys always come through for me. The store is located at a busy intersection that does have a light so the store can be easily accessed from either side of the road. The store is very clean and the workers are pleasant. Their meet area is decent and their specialty veggie and fresh spice area is pretty good. Where the store lacks is there is definitely a lack of selection in the store. There is a kroger across the street and the variety of basic meat/produce/bread does not compare. Where the store also lacks is in the variety of wine and beer where the kroger across the street beats them everyway and sideways. I do believe they tend to carry better quality meats and produce and they tend to carry more specialty food items in general but its difficult to say that the quality is enough to out weigh the variety that kroger is offering read more

The employees in the deli are FANTASTIC! I've only been twice and both times the deli team members that assisted me should be commended! I don't remember the name of the lady that helped the first time, but this past time MITZI made a delicious sub sandwich. She was thoughtful and proactive to introducing me to items I may like and extremely friendly along the way. This deli might have the friendliest deli employees I've ever met...and they are CERTAINLY a full grade above the Walmart (Bobby Jones) and Kroger (Washington Rd.) employees I've encountered. The deli department deserves some recognition for their personable, friendly, and helpful service! read more
