Wow! Times are tough and wallets thin, Aldi's the cheapest groceries have been! I don't know why I don't shop here all the time! This is going to be my new solution to household budgeting. This grocery store has almost everything I would've bought at Publix or Kroger. Fresh vegetables, artisan cheeses, cafe bustelo, charcuterie meats, family size chicken breast packs, pop, fruit snacks, paper plates, toilet tissue, frozen foods, eggs, cereal, condiments; they have everything. The only thing missing was K-cups, fresh gnocchi, and Birdseye steamables. But, if shopping this cheap means I can stretch my budget, I'm all for it! Cleanliness is top notch and the store was well stocked and merchandised. Don't forget to bring a quarter for the cart and your own bags for your purchase. read more

Aldi started out for me as just a cool store to visit. I have grown to absolutely love this store. Its always clean and bright with so many options. I most certainly go to Aldi just to see what I can see, and find new things to try. I will buy produce here, but have learned that when I buy it I have to be ready to use right away. Ive purchased many of the different types of breads and cheeses. So while I love Aldi, I do have one teeny weeny complaint, which is not a ding on the store at all. More like a word of caution. On my most recent visit, I purchased shredded cheese and Tomato Pico de Gallo because we were having quesadillas for dinner. Well... the pico had to have an entire jalapeño in it, seeds and all, and I am not the spicy food type. Even with that, my only complaint is that the package should have said HOT! I ended up removing most of the jalapeño, added some salt, lime juice, and chopped up a few frozen shrimp I purchased (at Aldi), and made a fake ceviche. AND!! I found thee cutest insulated bag, that I will try not to forget when I go grocery shopping. read more

The produce section had a great selection of fresh produce, including organic options. The private brand products with the double guarantee will get reimbursed and replaced if you were unsatisfied. This grocery store has a less sophisticated offer for frozen products and dried fruits than Trader's Joe. I removed 0.5 point as I would still have to do a second stop at another grocery store to get all the products I have grown accustomed to.... You will need to bring your own bags here. I grew up with Aldi and have fond memories of eating chips with a cowboy riding a potato chip like a bronco. I'm positive it was an Aldi brand chip because my mother was a cheapskate and had to make every cent count. Things everyone should know before heading to an Aldi: 1. Bring a quarter for the shopping carts. You'll get it back. 2. Bring your own bags-it's been the Aldi way for at least 30 years. 3. It's a small store and they only really carry their brands. 4. Gluten free and healthy foods galore. 5. Cheap produce! 6. The Exquisite Collection Cotes de Provence Rosé 2016 won a silver medal and costs less than $10. 7. The aisles can get tight and the shelves can get messy. You pay for the quality, not for the fancy endcaps and bright lights. I encourage everyone to give this place a shot at least once and think of this place for baking staples, organic meats and cooking wine. Come early and not on the weekends if you can help it! read more

I made a fantastic discovery: Aldi has whole bean coffee that is far better than any other I've tried in this area. That is, if you like a medium-light roast. That's the only type they have. But it is fantastic. Packaging is blah, which makes it an even greater find. I recently did a comparison of several brands, including: Jittery Joes (Athens, GA... our local brand) @ $15.99/12 oz. Happy Day (Boise, ID) @ $14.99/12 oz. Aldi @ $6.49/12 oz. ... and several more. The winner? Aldi. At least for my preferences. I like a light roast with plenty on tanginess... plenty of bite. Something to get me rolling in the morning. Aldi calls it a medium roast, but it tastes like a medium-light roast to me. $6.49 ... unbelievable value. First time shopper of Aldi. My mom has nothing but good things to say about this place. I thought I would check it out. Aldi- short for Albrecht Discount, is a global discount supermarket chain based in Germany. It specialises in staple items, such as food, beverages, toilet paper, sanitary articles, and other inexpensive household items. Many of its products are own brands, with the number of other brands usually limited to a maximum of two for a given item. Great wine selection which range from $2.89 on up. I love their produce section, very fresh and cheap. I was able to get avocados for $.79 a piece and butternut squash for only $1.99. They also sell healthy products for people who are trying to watch what they eat (from veggie chips to Turkey sausages, health bars, etc) Basically it's the size of a publix or krogers minus the deli/meat/seafood section. If you want a shopping cart, it's $.25 but when you return it back in the front of the store and lock it, you get your quarter back. Also at checkout plastic bags are $.10 a piece. Feel free to bring your own recycling bags. I was very pleased with this grocery store and the pricing. Very clean including the restrooms. I am from Cincinnati and there is one in my area and will definitely return. read more

This Aldi location (227 bobby Jones expressway Augusta, Ga) has been the worst Aldi experience I've ever had. There was trash all over the floor, boxes strewn every where and every which way, empty shelves of just about everything, empty boxes on said empty shelves, pallet trash in the isle. It seemed as if a tornado had blown through the store or maybe a pack of hungry hyenas, both would be appropriate for the appearance of this store. Food was strewn everywhere, the take and bake pizza had questionable meat toppings that were so discolored we couldn't tell if it was pepperoni or salami. There were several packages of grass fed beef and other cuts of meat that were extremely grey/off colored and nobody wants to purchase food poisoning. On to the frozen section, it looked as if someone opened the freezer doors and just haphazardly threw everything in, slammed the door shut, shrugged their shoulders and said F&$!?K it! Not to mention there was more ice cream containers and boxes on the floor and under/behind/beside the racks than there were actually on the shelf. To top it all off, there was ONE cashier with about 8 people in line and more customers lining up. Listen, I LOVEEEEEEE shopping at Aldi. I Love all the unique foods and finds. I tell anyone and everyone about shopping at Aldi but I will be sure to tell everyone to steer clear of this store. I shop at various Aldi's across several states and this by far was the worst. I understand this is a no frills store, and today it was beyond less than no frills. Management get this store home help! read more

I was turned on to Aldi because of my recent obsession with juicing. I was told they have a good selection of fruit and vegetables. That's not completely true for this location. They have lots of non-perishable items. The fruit and vegetable selection depends on when you visit. I typically can't find the same items twice, but I've really lucked up with grapefruit, oranges, lemons, spinach and carrots. You must know that you have to pay for a cart and bags. You also have to bag your items yourself. They let you grab empty boxes for your grocery if available. Overall, I like the store, but I'll be visiting the North Augusta,SC location soon to see if they offer the same thing. read more

I love Aldi because the prices are considerably lower than the Big Box and national chains. It is like a market in Europe: bring your own bags, which I do anyway (and so should you!) The people at Aldi are friendly and make your checkout fast. I also hear that they are paid good wages and benefits. The selection is limited and there are many store brands, but most of these are quite good. Thier in house beer is great. Some of the cheaper wines are also good. There is always a special purchase of other seasonal items that make great gifts. I only wish there was a Trader Joe's (same owners as Aldi) close by. I like Aldi; I LOVE Trader Joe's read more

This is a nice store, especially after the recent update. The products rotate around the time of year which is nice because you get variety and can't get stuck in a food rut. The produce is usually very good and surprisingly their tomatoes have taste and aren't just white inside like most grocers. Almost everything is some sort of Aldi store brand which is fine because everything we've gotten has always been very good to better than "name brand". The prices are great and we've had a noticeable drop in our weekly grocery bill with an increase in different foods so I'm calling it a win. Everyone is nice and helpful, the store is always clean, and with their cart system I've yet to see a stray one in the parking lot unlike the Kroger's in the area. read more

I really like ALDI stores. The prices are very low compared to other places around. A lot of people frown on the "generic" food or "copycat" brands they have there. However, most of it is as good as the name brand items, but cheaper. We also enjoy their selection of fruits and vegetables. They are very cheap compared to even Wal-Mart. Aldi has the best prices! If you can avoid it, though, do not come to this location on Saturday mornings- it's the worst and they generally can't keep anything stocked because of the rush of people. I love shopping here, prices are comparably lower than other grocery chains, they have a decent selection and have many items you cannot find in other supermarkets, they have a great selection of special dietary foods and keep prices low by having you pay a quarter for your cart( which you get upon return) and having you bag your own groceries, with your own reusable bags. Love Aldi. Always the best deals around. One year I got my son a batman car for like $14 and it was $27 THE SAME DAY at Target. They don't accept coupons- which sometimes stinks, but their brands are cheap and quality. I usually end up getting their brand if they have both! Take your own bags, buy bags there or use boxes. Love this store. So much less expensive than other grocery stores. Mostly private brands but they have proven to be high quality . Lines are sometimes long but the savings are worth the wait. The reason I didn't give this store five stars is because it's not a one stop shop. They don't carry everything I need so I have to ultimately go elsewhere for some things. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. They are in the middle of a reconstruction and they really should have closed the store they have new frozen section and there's no fresh food. There are no eggs or butter. You're better off waiting until they get their stuff together because it was a wasted trip. read more

Aldi's will soon have competition from another German grocery store Lidl, they are coming soon. least I digress, Love Aldi's. If you haven't been here before, heads up. you need a Quarter to get a shopping cart but you get it back when you return the cart. you will need to bring your own tote bag or your own plastic bags from other stores, or purchase bags there. boxes are available if you can find them usually they leave them out, this is because you will box and bag your own grocery's. that's how they are different from Kroger's or any one else. availability: they are building one in Grovetown across from Wal-mart near I-20, wont have to go to Bobby Jones any more, Prices are better than Walmart and the other grocery chains. building is small and the selections are about half of a regular grocery store, the fresh veggies and specials come in on Wednesday ahead of the Thursday sales. Banana's are $o.26 to 42 cents a pound, just for comparison. Bread .89 cents a loaf. read more

I get feelings of nostalgia whenever I shop here. They have the lowest prices hands down. You have to bring your own bags and a quarter to rent a shopping cart but you get the biggest bang for your buck. Inflation has made the price of food ridiculous. You will save money here. read more
