First time here for weekday lunch. Other visits for dinner and brunch were okay. Today was PERFECT! We were seated right away. Our server, Donny W., was very attentive and pleasant. Our food was brought from the kitchen piping hot, and yummy. Out glasses of water and iced tea were refilled often by Donny, and other staff. We will return soon. read more

The Best Family Restaurant in Maryland?....I think not Not horrible but not very good not is it good value. Our waitress was warm and efficient, the other wait staff helpful. It's the food and portion sizes that fail. We started with a one-half pound order of boiled shrimp supposedly prepared with Old Bay and onions. First, the six shrimp did not taste fresh, nor were they a half-pound. No Old Bay or any flavor was evident. I counted five paper thin strips of flavorless onion. The two small half-pieces of tastles bread (for a table of 3) had no flavor after dipping in the sauce. The children's Mac n Cheese pasta was under cooked and my grandson would not eat it. I tasted it..and agreed, a gelatinous flavorless mass. My Cobb salad was miniscule...other than a few slices of avacodo, six mini shrimp (again flavor absent), the salad had no dressing although I was assured by three of the waitstaff that the kitchen dressed the salad. Most Cobb's have bacon, eggs, tomatoes etc etc. I brought it home to dress it properly and add the missing components. The fried Brussel Sprouts we're greasy but at least had flavor. A waste of time and money...who votes for these restaurants? There are many great alternatives in Howard and Montco Counties that should have correctly been recognized as outstanding family restaurants. But not Libs. read more

I went for my birthday, definitely worth trying. I'm a really big seafood fan and my boyfriend isn't so much. Their menu was big enough to satisfy both our cravings. Service was amazing, our waitress remembered our order completely without writing anything down. They only thing that threw me off was the fact that there is such limited seating, they stuck us in a really tight corner corner. read more

The food today was great! I'm hoping our server was just having a bad day because she REALLY didn't seem to want to be working today. Or, maybe being kinda rude is just her personality, which is cool, however, maybe choose another profession. Her name is on my receipt, but I wont call her out on the internet. Our check was #15. Table OB1. 12:06pm 03/01/20. She acted like she was doing us a big favor by waiting on us. I will still eat there. I'm normally an 20% tipper for mediocre service. But she got 15 and that was a stretch. read more

Went last night for happy hour. Service was horrible. They forgot our whole order then Lied about it. 1+ hour for some food. Would not go back as of now read more

Kathlyn was a wonderfully attentive server and our food was delicious! We even got a special treat of macarons from the chef for dessert(Thanks Steven!)! They were little pieces of heaven! read more

We went to Lib's Grill to celebrate Father's Day and it was absolutely fantastic! It was our first time dining there and we immediately loved the relaxed atmosphere when we first entered the restaurant. Our waitress, Kat, was wonderful as she checked in on us frequently and she was great with our younger kids. The food was out of this world! Our favorites were the Baltimore Club, the Lobster Roll, and the Ranch and Old Bay popcorn. I also had a Watermelon Cucumber Crush and it was very refreshing after spending most of the day outside in the heat. We can't wait to go back to Lib's Grill and we are looking forward to recommending it to all of our friends! read more

First Review: 1 star. We were excited to try a new restaurant (new for us). We ordered all of our food (our appetizer, dinner and our kids food) at the same time. Our kids food came out and we still did not receive our appetizer. Turns out our waitress forgot to put in our appetizer or(and I was really looking forward to trying the spaghetti carbonara appetizer). She did offer another "snack" (they have snack food and appetizers) but we did not want it. I ordered coffee rubbed Kobe steak that came with kale, edamame, grilled onions and mushrooms. It was not specified in the menu this was all together in a small bowl. I told our waitress I did not care for mushrooms so she recommended ordering a side of grilled onions (because as I understood the grilled onions and mushrooms were on top of the steak). That was not the case. All those items came together in a bowl. Well, needless to say I did not care for that since I don't eat mushrooms. AND my side of grilled onions did not come with my steak. My steak and my husbands ribeye were okay. I wouldn't highly recommend them. Which I was disappointed since I was ordering Kobe Beef- I thought it would be better. My daughter ordered fruit with her food instead of fries and our waitress told us there would be an up charge. We were okay with that until we got the bill and it was $5 up charge for a small bowl of blueberries and strawberries (maybe $2 would've been okay, especially since we were replacing an item not ordering an additional side item). Our waitress did offer us each (4) 1 oz chocolate mousse with whipped cream (which was good) at the end of the meal. I do not think we will be dining here again. But their cucumber basil gimlet was great!! 2nd Review: I wanted to give this restaurant one more chance. My husband was a little reluctant but I convinced him to go again. We sat in the same area as last time (back room on the left side of the restaurant). We were the first table in the middle as you enter the room (basically it has three rows of tables). I will have to say the table was a little uncomfortable and inconvenient. We had everyone who was walking into the room walking right toward our table then squeezing around us. There was not very much room behind any of our chairs for other guests and servers to walk by us. I actually thought a couple of times the servers might spill food or drinks on my husband because they had to lift the trays right over his head. I actually had to switch chairs with my daughter because I thought someone might run into her if she scooted her chair out. We were very close to the table right next to us and if my son scooted his chair out any he would hit the woman behind us. When my son stood up, he was literally standing next to the table with a couple right next to us. I felt a little bad because they were trying to have a nice dinner and anytime my son wanted to talk to me he was standing right next to them. I would highly suggest removing this table so there is a little more space in that room. I do have to say the service and the food were much better this time around. I ordered the peppers as an appetizer. I thought they were delicious! My husband had the Cesar salad to begin. I ordered the lobster roll and asparagus and my husband ordered the strip steak for dinner. We both had the asparagus with our meals. We are both very particular about how we like our asparagus cooked. It was just how we like it, nice and crunchy! The lobster roll was very good. It was also the perfect size. Lobster can be very rich and I felt the size of the sandwich was perfect. Our server was very nice and attentive. This was a much better experience than last time! read more

Issue #1: Acoustics. My wife and I went at 9:00 on Saturday night and we had to shout to talk. I'm sure at a less crowded time the atmosphere would have been more pleasant. Issue #2: Food. I ordered the peppercorn & bourbon filet. While the steak was cooked perfectly it lacked flavor...perhaps because I only had one peppercorn??? The best item in my order was the mashed potatoes. Also, I order the filet off of the "Restaurant Week" special menu which listed the price at $30. I was not told that this $30 price only included the 6-ounce cut. I ordered the 10-ounce cut and was charged $40 by surprise. My wife enjoyed her tenderloin salad, but her bread pudding was like cardboard--one bite & done. As soon as we were seated we saw two people send their orders back--one person visibly angry--not a good sight on our first visit. Perhaps we expected too much going in, but neither of us is dying to go back. read more

It is hard not to be excited about one of your favorite places expanding. I was so thrilled to hear that Lib's was going to open a location in Maple Lawn. Now I have even more opportunities to enjoy the fantastic menu, meet new family members and share the secret with friends in the Howard County area. I love that this location has a bit of a different vibe, than the Perry Hall location. The attention to details is obvious. Tonya is our favorite bartender. She is fun, professional and knows her drinks well. She is very attentive to her customers, even when several customers deep at the bar. Cheers John, Nick and the rest of the Liberatores family on another fantastic location and killer opening. read more

My fiancé and I decided to try Lib's grill as it is new to maple lawn. Walking in the people were very friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. We sat at the bar to have drinks and then decided to order dinner; tonya was our bartender. I wanted oysters as an appetizer; Tonya took the time to educate me on the different kinds they had to offer. I decided on the raspberry points and they were amazing. I also got the New York strip as my entree and it was phenomenal! Overall the food, drinks, and service was outstanding and we will definitely come back to see Tonya and try some other menu items that looked great as well. I highly recommend this place we had a wonderful experience! Definitely one of my favorites now. read more

I went here a couple of Saturday's ago, so please keep in mind that they had just opened up a week or so before. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and accommodating- the restaurant is very big, family friendly, has a nice bar area, and there's plenty of seating. The service was good as well. In regards to portion of food/ price, I think this is a little off though. The food was just okay to good, but as I live close to the restaurant, I definitely want to go back when they have a better flow going, considering this is a new restaurant. We went there for lunch, and I had the shrimp and grits, fried oysters, and the recommended brussels sprouts. My wife got the lobster roll which she liked. However, we both agreed that the brussels sprouts were way too salty. The shrimp and grits were good but there wasn't much shrimp in there at all. The most disappointing food item was the fried oysters. I eat a lot of seafood, and I've never seen fried oysters like the ones I received- they were literally the size of small quarters which I didn't understand. I'm also the type of person to really complain either (just pay for it and never order in the future), so I didn't ask why. Moreover, they tasted like they were just fried with flour and nothing else- probably the most bland (and smallest) oysters I've ever had in my life. Overall, again, the food wasn't bad at all- just a little pricey considering the amount of food you get- but overall I see some potential and I attribute some of these shortcomings due to the fact that they opened up recently- maybe they didn't have a lot of oysters that day so they cut them in half or something- I don't know. They had a huge selection of raw oyster on the menu board but only a couple that are actually available. In sum, they have another restaurant, so they are doing something right, and I hope that they succeed bc we need better restaurants in the area. I will definitely give it another shot again in the future. read more

We have been there several times and the food is consistently good. We see a lot of reviews of places where people say the food is good when it is bland...that is not the case here. We did have an issue with service about a week after opening, but that appears to be fixed....I hope they continue to have good service as I would like them to be around for a long time. It is nice to have a "go to" restaurant so close to home. read more

I'd rather have given them 3.5 stars, but couldn't, and I think 4 is a little too high. They seemed either short staffed, or possibly like they were having some other issue (?) - service just wasn't particularly fast, even though the tables that they did have weren't full. Maybe it was busier today than it has been recently? Server was perfectly nice, but overall service was a little patchy. The food again - perfectly ok, just not really great. The atmosphere was nice, the tables were spaced out nicely, but the food wasn't as flavorful -imo- as say, Willy's, which I'm partial to. Call me a snob, but I do kind of expect a Bloody Mary at a place like that to have like, at least a single garnish... old bay rim, lemon/lime, an olive, a piece of celery - just even ONE of those..mostly things just didn't have enough seasoning for me. I like salty and deep fried, but ideally I like a little more depth too. I wouldn't rule it out, but it wouldn't be my first choice for brunch within a thirty minute radius. 7/10, or, if aesthetic/space/visual feel is really important to you, maybe a little higher. read more

Excellent service and loved their Sunday mimosas! Will definitely return when we come back to town!

I love crab cakes and have searched high and low for a good crab cake close to home. Out of all of the restaurants that I've tried in Fulton and Columbia, Lib's Grill is by far the best! I would highly recommend trying their crab cakes if you haven't already read more

We went for brunch on the weekend recently and we were very impressed! We didn't know they offered brunch and were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for an early lunch. The menu is creative with a lot of great options and not just your traditional breakfast menu. Steak and eggs comes with a great cut of meat (no fat) and tater tots. Also they start you off with delicious (what looks like) homemade donut holes. I would say it's one of the best brunch spots in the area! read more

Kat was the best server we have ever had. She was on the ball. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Made our experience top notch. Will definitely come back again. read more

Having tried many of the other restaurants in the Maple Lawn area, we are happy to find Lib's Grill which had all 3 qualities we appreciate: great food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Their portions were generous (lots of crabmeat in their dip appetizer and crab cake, as well as big pieces of lobster in their Mac and Cheese). Everything we had was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. And they have lots to choose from on their drinks menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and will definitely be back. read more

Wonderful lunch at Lib's this week. Great food and fantastic drinks ! Big shout out to our wonderful server Daniyal who gave great recommendations and phenomenal service. read more

Lib's has become one of our favorite and most frequented restaurants in the Columbia area! We love their happy hour menu and drink selections, and love going back as the seasons change to see their updated seasonal items. Their crushes are always fun and tasty! Their mussels are the best I have ever had! We visit for dinner often, and love that it is appropriate for both a quick weeknight meal in the bar or a special occasion at a table. The staff is wonderful and always gives us great recommendations when we can't decide what we want. I would highly recommend visiting Lib's Grill! read more

My wife and I met a friend and It was our first time at Lib's. We were really impressed with the menu. The food was delicious, everything from the bread to our brussel sprouts, flat breads and dessert. They even let me sample the wine. I can't write this review without complimenting the incredible service of Keyla. She is a top notch waitress and explained everything well to us. We can't to go back and see her as well as try other great options on the menu. Thanks for a very nice evening. read more

After dining here twice, I am confused by the great reviews. The service is terrible, a lot of chatting with little concern for the customer, and the food isn't good enough to make up for it. Today, I waited 45 minutes for my meal and had to ask someone (other than the server) if it was coming. By the time it did, it was inedible enough that I sent it back. They will ask if you want a drink, yes, then another 30 minutes passes. And to top it off, the bill was wrong (I ordered restaurant week and got full price after my card was charged). There are too many people waiting on you for anyone to take accountability for the small things or create a consistent experience. The 2 stars (as opposed to 1) is because the location is modern, clean, and has a nice ambience. Those are the only positives I have after more than one visit. read more

Everything here was amazing!! The service, the ambiance, the food. Every server was very attentive to my friend and I, and all the other guests. The staff was super friendly, the portions were filling and the food was cooked to perfection. It's been hard to find good brunch spots in Howard county but this one definitely tops the cake. I will for sure be back. read more

Went here for restaurant week. The food was great, the tap list is "okay," and the service was amazing. On the food: I had the beer cheese and pretzel bread (soooooo good), the meatloaf with an egg on top (on a bed of mashed potatoes and crispy snap peas), and the toffee bread pudding for dessert. Every part was great. On the service: our server (Cierra) was fantastic. We were there on a Friday night and the place was slammed, but she came by our table frequently. To the point that at no time in the meal did anyone at the table feel like they were idling waiting for the staff for anything. Water, drinks, condiments, extra food orders, even pleasant chitchat... I haven't had that kind great meal experience since the last time we went to one of those ridiculously expensive restaurants where they have a whole wait team for your table. Cierra was a real one women show and I hope she gets recognized by the restaurant for this. On the tap list: it was ok, mostly I just ordered the wrong beers for the wrong parts of the meal. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I've been here a few times over the last year and the food is always delicious! Most recently my fiancé and I had our engagement party here with 45 guests and we could not have been more impressed! The staff/ service was wonderful (they catered to every little detail and request that we had), the drinks came quickly and were always delicious, and all of our guests complimented how great the food was. Thank you to Nick and all of the Libs Grill staff for making our night so special and easy!! Whether you're looking for a tasty dinner with a great atmosphere or a place to host a special event like ours, I highly recommend this place!!! read more

This is literally the MIchael Kors of restaurants. And by that, I mean it's basic AF. If I could give this place zero stars I would. They're nice enough to offer one vegan option on the menu which includes a slice out of a head of cauliflower on a bed of 8 pieces of sautéed baby spinach-- with a salt to spinach ratio of 2:1. This fantastic vegan entree is a steal at $18 (just because you call it cauliflower "steak" doesn't warrant a beef price tag!).. but uh, sure I guess that's a reasonable price for a couple bites of cauliflower and inedible spinach. Oh, also my plate of steamed salt arrived at the table 15 minutes after everyone else's entrees. If I sound salty... it's because I literally just consumed an entire salt shaker amount of salt in one bite. Note: My fiancé also didn't love his crab cake sandwich either. We were excited to split his fries and when we dumped out the basket we realized the paper made it appear full but in actuality the basket was mainly what's left at bottom of the fryer. read more

No vegetarian or vegan entrees on the menu. Come on guys, this is 2018, you can offer one plant-based option!

Classy atmosphere. very good food and drink. Our experience was a little bit dampened by hearing a couple staff complain about management and their own personal issues. Sorry. Don't think I can go back to this location after experiencing this with my wife but will happily go to your other locations! read more

Having recently moved here, we have been trying out all the local restaurants. Libs Grill has stood out as one of the best! Casual yet fine dining - including some of the best filet ever! The food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. What sets this restaurant apart is the service. Every time we have visited, the service has always been top notch. On this visit we dined with our family of 20 which included 5 little ones. Our servers, Kat and Tonya, were absolutely incredible. As annoying as we all were, they stayed the course and continued to deliver on request after request......with nothing but smiles and genuine interest. We thank you ladies and we appreciate your time, your kindness and your incredible service. read more

So we got the bottomless oranges crushes and monkey bread to start. The monkey bread was delish, the orange crush not so much. It looked more like lemonade and taste like straight vodka. The waiter checked on us 20 minutes later and we told him about the drinks and he let us know their oranges were more yellow then orange. So we switched to bottomless mimosa and they were mimosas, so great. The food was very yummy except my friend getting the flattest pancake known to man. Had to give them 3 stars because the service was great read more

Excellent meal with good service but... one in our party ordered the Caesar Salad with the lobster special. Knew there was an upcharge. Asked for anchovies, pretty standard ingredient in Caesars but was charged additional $1.50. Really annoying considering the salad already was an additional charge. We really like the restaurant but with so many good restaurants in the area, will be more careful what we order if we go back. read more

Awesome service, great food and fun Sunday brunch vibe! Our server Felicia was the best and we'll definitely ask for her section next time.

Excellent service with an exceptional meal. Tonya was a fantastic waitress, she let my friends and I know the drink specials and food specials for the night and was there for us whenever we needed her for assistance. If you're in the maple maple lawn area I would definitely recommend it. read more

Good food, great location. Decent selection for the kids menu. You have got to try the Brussels sprouts appetizer- so tasty!

My wife and I dinned at Lib's Grill last night with her parents and we had an exceptional time. The food, service and ambiance was on point. My wife's father has serious food allergies that the manager took very serious.
