I love trying breakfast places, especially when I am out of town. We were in town for a night and was lucky enough to find this little gem. The service was exceptional. And the food was pretty terrific. My veggie omelet was perfectly cooked. I loved the sausage patties and bacon.

Libbys is a small restaurant but very clean and the staff were nice. I wouldn't say the food was fantastic as some have claimed but it was fine. The menu is limited but has breakfast, lunch and dinner items like sandwiches, omelettes, pancakes, salads. I had the omelette with cheese and veggies and my friend had the salad. The eggs were a bit undercooked but ok. It's a nice little place that was clean and comfortable. Prices were reasonable. It's fine for a quick basic meal.

We wanted breakfast that would be good and quick. I also had a taste for pancakes. Libby's is local, affordable and tasty. A staple in Wilmington for as long as I can remember.

This place was great! There was 6 of us and we ordered a little of everything. We took longer to order than it took for the food to come out. We were so surprised that it came out that fast and everything was perfect. No one had a complaint. The only thing that surprised us more than the speedy service was the VERY low bill. Again, there was 6 of us and we ordered a LOT of food and the bill was under $60! We would DEFINITELY go back!

No frills city diner. Great breakfast food, service was friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. If you want to leave content and not have your wallet hurt, this is the place.

Best breakfast in town! You can't go wrong with the Libby's special. I love their French toast, it's the perfect texture and has good flavor. They use really good turkey bacon. From their lunch menu, I've really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. The service is also very friendly.

Over priced trash. Food was plain and sausages were like plastic. Service was good though. The workers were polite.

Food was good for the price, the restaurant needs a little TLC, as far as cleanliness and updating.

Happy hour means $6 well drinks, so my standard is rum and diet Coke. Good drink, single pour of Cruzan. I chose to dine at the bar because the weather was a little steamy out. But I later took my second drink out onto their riverfront patio, and sat awhile in the shade of the building. It was lovely. For snacks, I ordered the blackened filet medallions and the garlic mussels. On a skewer, four hefty pieces of excellent beef were joined with a nifty horseradish dip. I did cut the steak into several bites per piece, so it was a good sized portion. My only preference would have been some garnish (greens maybe?). The mussels normally come with bread, but I let them keep it in the kitchen to sub my own GF bread from home. The broth was thin and lightly flavored, which I enjoyed almost like a soup (but was too embarrassed to tip the bowl). The patron to my right bemoaned the loss of a thicker broth from a previous recipe, so the bartender brought him some scampi butter which helped apparently. I really loved the light broth and found it soaked into the bread quite nicely. Friendly bartender gal cashed me out at my request before I took my drink on the patio. $30 plus tip, well spent. I could be a regular here, and look forward to another visit to Wilmington next time we are in Philly.

Just the vibe is awesome but to meet Mike. This is his place. He is the guy that was on D, D, & D. An absolute treat. Slow night so I got to talk with him. Again, more on that. The chicken skin appetizer. OMG. So good. I need to figure out how to make these at home. Had the FTC burger and tots as Mike was nice enough to dissuade me away from the Moo Caliente. Says on the menu "VERY spicy". Mike gave me the Reaper aioli for my tots. Holy hot! But tasty. If you like really spicy, take the Moo Caliente on. Now Mike is the owner, bartender, and designer of all this. I have never had the opportunity to actually speak with the guy I saw on TV but he is so down to earth he acts like just an employee. What an honor to get to hang out and speak with the owner. An incredible experience and you must try Farmer & the Cow if in Wilmington

I can say without a doubt that the Chef at Eclipse LOVES to cook and cares about what he/she puts on a plate. Amazing food. Husband had the pork chop and was beyond pleased with his food. Had a maple bacon glaze - need I say more....and was cooked to perfection; seared and caramelized on the outside, but juicy inside. I had the chicken dish and it was equally amazing. The skin was rendered and so crunchy AND meat was so tender. Was sitting in a perfect lemony sauce, served with super crunchy potatoes. Also, the staff was so personable and attentive. Just a pleasure. We are in Delaware from Ft Lauderdale, and are so thankful for Yelp reviews. They led us to Eclipse and we are SO HAPPY they did. Thank you Eclipse Bistro for a memorable, beautiful dinner!

Since I showed up around 4pm, the restaurant was pretty empty - it wasn't lunch time but it wasn't dinner time yet. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine, their bistro salad (chopped greens, cucumbers, vine-ripened tomatoes, feta, red onion, and red wine vinaigrette), and agnolotti (ricotta and herb-filled agnolotti, crispy pancetta, English peas, and Parmigiano-Reggiano). The wine was nice, and the food was quite good overall. The salad was simple, and the pasta was good, too. AJ at the bar was great - he was new (he was still learning the cocktail menu), but he was friendly and helpful. When I walked in, AJ was a little swamped at the bar (since the only people at Eclipse were at the bar), but there wasn't anyone at the host stand, nor did other staff standing near the kitchen say anything or tell me where I could sit. I was more than happy to sit at the bar - as a solo diner at an off-hour, it seemed like the easiest thing to do - but I wasn't sure if I could just grab a barstool and sit down or not. Since no one said anything, eventually I did just that, which was only a bit awkward (and I do get that I walked in between lunch and dinner service). Overall, it was a nice meal - nothing mind-blowing, but I do like their menu, and I enjoyed the food and my glass of wine. I wouldn't mind returning to try more of their menu on another occasion when I'm in Wilmington.

Alright, if you cant tell from the reviews this place is somewhat polarizing... I went here for the first time recently and felt mixed on the experience. On one hand I loved the lowkey, mysterious, hyperlocal, dive bar atmosphere. On the other hand it does have a bit of a genuine dirty feel that can be off putting. The bathroom in particular is really quite bad, the bar is a bit musty and just feels like it would benefit greatly from a good wipe down. Additionally, I can see how the laid back bartenders and overly comfortable regulars could be a bit intimidating to folks who go in expecting a 'normal' restaurant experience. Servers here will not wait on you hand and foot nor will they at most any other local bar/tap, its just how it is. When you go to a place like this you should understand your visiting someone elses world for a bit, it's not McDonalds or a fancy Italian spot. If local dive culture is foriegn to you or you don't like it you will likely not like this spot. All that being said I found the somewhat aloof bartender and local regulars to be quite charming, reasonably attentive, and all very kind. I ordered some drinks and food, the food was suprisingly good for what you might expect when you arrive, and the drink was fine (just ordered a bottled beer or two). I feel like this place deserves more than a 3 star rating, but honestly I have a hard time saying that my experience was anything special or above being "okay". If I were a local I could see being a regular here, most out-of-towners probably wont like it - that being said If your bored on a random weeknight and don't want to cook at home, stop by and give Dead Presidents a shot, it may surprise you. Ownership, I'd recommend a solid deep cleaning, otherwise I have no real notes.
