We were a group for Sunday brunch. Our waitress was giving it her all but Libations had her running ragged. She was handling another large group plus the patio seating. She had some help bringing out the dishes but they needed her to tell them what to do . For us Libations was not a good choice for brunch. The breakfast menu was a choice of various concoctions that made no sense and most of us found unappetizing. The Not Breakfast Menu was bar fare also not appetizing at 10 AM. I visited this cozy brunch spot on my very short trip to MD with my cousin. We went on a Saturday in the early afternoon and it was truly the perfect place to spend some quality time together because it wasn't packed. The fact it wasn't crowded allowed us to have great conversation and a peaceful experience. Our server was patient and pleasant. The drink options were what one would expect from the restaurant's name: a plethora of brunch and mimosa options. I opted for a glass of bubbles with a splash of cranberry. The menu had a great selection and a wide one too yet it wasn't overwhelming with options. As a breakfast lover yet someone who was up since 5AM for the Baltimore running festival, it was a tough decision. In the end, I opted for the "Good morning" pizza. I substituted the fried egg for egg whites, lost the sun dried tomatoes and added avocado. This proved to be a great choice! It was a very generous size pie which was beneficial being I was catching an early evening flight. This pizza literally ended up feeding me throughout the course of the day. I would absolutely visit Libations again if in Millersville and highly recommend it for your next brunch experience. We had our wine club anniversary party here last year and I never got the opportunity to write a review but I was thoroughly impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. We were seated in the separate private room where we chose 5-6 appetizers for the group of us to share. Everything we chose was delicious and we kept ordering more!! They also created a signature drink for the evening because it fell on St. Patrick's weekend. We had such a great time, great food and drinks, most of the ladies didn't want to leave lol. I stopped in last night for dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender was anxiously awaiting to take our orders. We ordered a Bourbon flight which is 4 tastings of your choice for $12. Our food choices were the crab bruschetta and shrimp and grits. The bruschetta was huge and loaded with the fixings. It was very good. The shrimp and grits came shortly after and man it was good!!! Very good sized shrimp, the grits were creamy and flavorful, the spicy sausage added the perfect kick and the fried green tomatoes!! Yummy! We didn't leave one bite. The Bourbon choices were all good, the double rye was good but super strong! I opted to have a glass of the Eagle Rare neat. What happened to this place? It was one of my favorite restaurants, but now I hate it. They changed the menu from being inventive, elevated cuisine to your typical Applebees type of food. We stopped here for lunch around 12:30 on a Friday. We had our dog with us because they say, after all, they have a dog friendly patio. My wife went in to tell them we had our dog and they told us to give them 5 minutes to set up. No problem. We gave them 15 minutes and they still didn't have things together. They weren't crowded, so what's the excuse? Done with this place. Get your act together. Very good! Great atmosphere, service, and food. I ordered the tavern grilled cheese with the sweet potato fries. It was incredible! First time having pork belly. I was worried I wouldn't like it but it did not disappoint! Our waitress was also great and very attentive! She checked on us and made sure we were more than satisfied with our meals. So the ambiance is trying too hard to be in demand for example the menu and all the tables with the reserved sign screams upscale but the location in a parking lot and all the empty tables say it's not. I ordered the sangria and it was filled to the tippy top which I appreciate. I ordered off the weekly specials menu and got the crusted halibut with mashed potatoes and spinach. The halibut came out white with nothing but some pesto on top not my idea of crusted AT ALL. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders with fries which in her words were bussin bussin. My cousin ordered the fried catfish with Mac and cheese and although the Mac wasn't anything special the catfish had a nice crisp to it but no flavor. Stopped on our way home from Ocean City Maryland to Central PA. Highlights App - Tuna Poke appetizer was a great start. Very delicious and more Tuna than I expected. Meal - I got the Potbelly Grilled Cheese. I'd post a picture but I devoured it too quickly. Perfectly cooked with a great au jus dipping sauce. Fries were thin cut and tasty. Wife ordered the shrimp tacos. She said they were great. My daughter had Mac n cheese which came in a huge crock. We ate more than our daughter because it was so good. FOOD POISON - please be aware, ate here with family and some of us had dishes with shrimp. I immediately stop eating the shrimp when cutting into a piece and realized that it had not been de-vained. But we did not complained since we didnt want to be "those" type of customers. Our waiter was super sweet, full of apologies, but we still paid and thanked him while leaving the shrimp behind. That night, anyone who had shrimp was hugging the toilet and all during the next day. Any idea how hard it is to enjoy a renaissance fair and cant find a toilet?! We tried Libations for the first time for a family birthday and left unimpressed. We were initially confused by the board out front listing interesting meals, like ramen soup. But, upon ordering, realized that they were just advertising "meals coming soon" and not meals currently available. That's weird. We ordered sodas and a beer, and an appetizer of fried pickles. The fried pickles came out super quick, while the beer took over 10 minutes. It was just a can; I expected quicker. We soon realized why the pickles were quick: they were greatly undercooked. There was a good 1/4" of mushy batter all around each pickle. We stomached a few, after scraping the batter off, but ultimately told the waitress to take them away; they were too undercooked to be edible. It's a shame we had to pay for food we couldn't eat. The ahi tuna tacos were excellent, as was the crab mac and cheese. The asian steak bowl was a great disappointment. Rice topped with vegetables and steak ended up being nearly soup. There was so much sauce and juices that the rice had to be eaten with a spoon, and ultimately was too watery to finish. We were so unimpressed that we left without any dessert, as we had planned. We got that elsewhere afterwards. Not worth the over $100 that we ended up paying. read more

We stopped here for Saturday morning brunch and it was phenomenal! While looking for a brunch spot and we were lured in by the $2 mimosas. The mimosas were strong and delicious at a killer price. We ordered the breakfast tots, make your own omelette & the bourbon pecan French toast. The French toast definitely stole the show, the toppings were amazing and it didn't even need syrup (although it was provided). The breakfast tots were delicious as well, perfectly crisp with just the right amount of breakfast toppings. The omelette was very good, there were a lot of options to choose for fillings and I liked that there was no limit/extra charge for any. The bar area was well stocked with nice names! We showed up a little after 10AM, and we were surprised that we were the only ones there until we left. Personally, I have no idea why this place wasn't packed! Great Maryland crab soup-generous portion and it's got bite and plenty of veggies! Great tuna poke bowl: hot rice, purple-pink tuna chunks, and beansprouts with seaweed salad. My husband devoured his chicken quesadilla with enthusiasm. I managed to snag a bite before it was gone. I found out he had every reason to devour it. That was one of the best chicken quesadillas ever. It didn't need guacamole. The chicken was perfectly cooked tender and moist. Just enough barbecue sauce to enhance flavor without overwhelming the dish. Not to be froo-froo, just damn, that was fantastic. It's not everyday someone gets something so commonplace so right. My only gripe is they should offer 3 rather than 2 for $17. Wings were also really delicious and the pot roast grilled cheese. Calamari was good. To me, there's nothing worse than sitting in a quiet restaurant with no music (Muzak) in the background. You can hear everyone's conversation and they yours. Makes for a very awkward date, hard to talk, be relaxed, and just be yourself. We decided to check Libations out tonight, they have been open for nine days now. We couldn't find much in the way of a review on the Internet and no website directly for them to see their menu. Not sure in this day and age why you wouldn't have a website up and running months before you actually open the physical location to drive interest in business. We decided to just have a couple of drinks at the barn, an appetizer and check out the menu. They have a large L-shaped bar area with several hightop tables and a couple of brown leather couches. They have several TVs throughout the area my only thought is they seem to have been hung kind of high where you're straining your neck to look up at them unless your setback on the far side of the room. The floors are finished concrete and the overall feel of the area is kind of an industrialized metal finish feel. The bar has 12 taps of which they were all craft beers (this alone is fantastic) no domestic or lights on tap. They do have a large bottle selection of all your regular domestics and lights plus they have several craft beers available in bottles as well. They seem to have an extensive wine list and all the regular liquors you would expect. When we first came in it wasn't that busy but took a little while to get the bartenders attention but the service was fantastic after that. For an appetizer we settled on the Potatochip nachos which were very good and was a nice size serving, priced very well we thought. We looked over the menu and I thought it was a little on the pricey side, a lot of entrées in the $22-$28 range. But there were several menu items I would like to return and try. To a certain degree I think they're still trying to figure out what they want to become but we will definitely be returning and trying out more menu items. My husband, baby, and I stopped here on the way back from the DE beaches last week. I know a few people who have worked here and wasn't sure what it would be like. We were pleasantly surprised. The decor is muted and modern, the bar space is ample, and the dining room is slightly casual but perfect for a quick lunch. There was a private party in the room adjacent to the dining room. There were only a few tables in the dining area when we arrived. We ordered the caprese flatbread which was delicious, the chop chop salad (also a hit), and the steak burger. My husband didn't eat his entire burger because he said the butter on the bun tasted like seafood (??) which he's allergic to but who knows he was fine so I think it was just mental and the flavor was offputting to him. Our server Lauren took great care of us, was very friendly and seemed to have most of the dining room tables to herself. I would stop there again next time I am in the area for sure. read more

Stopped in the other day for a first visit. The hostess greeted us warmly, showed us around the restaurant then too us to our table. Impressed she took the time to show off her work place. Ordered the Babus Sokolowski's Kielbasa Dinner with sauerkraut and perogies. I love good German food when cooked right. The sauerkraut was nice and tart with caraway seeds giving it a good flavor. The perogies were a tad overcooked for my liking but I enjoyed them. The Kielbasa ... I wasn't a fan. It was just a plain, large, boiled sausage. Nothing very flavorful and it was taken directly out of the pot. I had expected a boiled sausage which had been finished on a grill or flattop. Something to give the sausage character and flavor. Was dissapointed. Now when I have sausage, German sausage, Polish sausage, British sausage, I like a bit of mustard. I asked the waitress for mustard and she brought out French's yellow mustard. I then asked if they had a spicy mustard, She brought out an off-named brand of deli-mustard. I then asked if they had a grain mustard or a course grind mustard. No, was the answer. Maybe its me but how can you have such a large sausage platter as a main entree on your menu and not have a good German mustard to show off and enhance the entree? Overall I had a good experience at Libations and I'll return to sample some of the other items on the menu. read more

I don't even know where to start with this place. I have been completely bamboozled. The first time I came here in January of 2016, the food was wonderful but the alcohol and service was terrible. They had the worst wine selections which is so hard to fail at when their list is so long. I came with two other people so in total we had three wine flights which means in total we tried 12 different wines and we didn't like ONE. NOT ONE! And to top it off when I asked who picked the wine on their menu I got yelled at...Literally...I don't know if the wine selection was completely changed the second time around (April 2016) but it was way better! In January I ordered tacos and in April I ordered Ahi Tuna Salad. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Salad and pair it with the Sauv Blanc! SO DELISH! As stated above, the food here is amazing. Side note: This establishment also serves as a small retail store that sells wine, beer and other alcohol related knickknacks. Showed up close to closing time on a Monday night and could not have had a better reception. Great to see people putting hospitality back into the restaurant business. Sat at the bar and had a great overall dining experience. Great charcuterie board with choice of meats....let bartender Monica lead you on this one, but, the Duck Prosciutto was awesome. Because it was late our group of three ordered quick and easy bar food: tater tots, burger, and grilled cheese. All came out quickly, tasting great, and with a friendly smile.....nice after a very long day. While we didn't try, they have lots of craft beers....we stayed with a Bogle merlot. While new, an impressive place already with great food and warm hospitality from the staff and management, despite our arriving near closing time. We are now huge fans of Libations! My wife and I recently had back-to-back events at Libations following our wedding ceremony in Annapolis. The first one was a formal family dinner, which was followed immediately by an informal Happy Hour for our friends and co-workers. Both events went off without a hitch because of how attentive to detail manager Amy Canter was, along with her staff. Even though a number of people RSVP'd at the last minute and past the deadline, Amy was able to make adjustments and provide what we needed for all of our guests. Everyone raved about the food, the selection of beers, and the overall customer service. They even created a specialty drink for us just for that occasion! We could not have been happier with the service and will only hold any future group gatherings at Libations because of our experience. Finally, try the crab dip. You'll be glad you did! read more
