The fruit teas here are made with good quality tea and real ingredients. I didn't detect any artificial syrups. However, the value/price ratio isn't great. It was well over $8 for a *small* fruit tea with boba as a topping. If I'd upgraded to a large (the same size as is standard at most other boba shops), it would've been close to $10! Also, the boba was too firm and lacked the qq consistency.
I've been meaning to stop into Li Cha Tea for a bit and yesterday was the day! I ordered a lychee mango tea and quite honestly it was some of my favorite boba in recent memory! I've been having some reactions to syrups and loved that it tasted like it was a perfect floral mixture of tea. The service was friendly and quick, the seating was plentiful and I loved my tea! I will definitely be back!
Brief Summary: - Tea tastes elegant and refreshing It was winter, but we were thirsty and it was growing warmer around 3pm. I don't know much about the shopping area, but I recall one boba shop. Then as we were walking around, there was a sign propped up on one of the streets. We got curious -- and we were thirsty -- so we went there for this round. The tea place is large with tables and chairs inside and outside. The easier ordering method is by looking at the menu and choose the default options. There was also a sign below it with the limited edition seasonal menus. Knowing me, who loves limited edition drinks, decided to pick one from that list. The one I chose was the ginger with almond milk (hot) and the staff mentioned that I could add tea in it. She also mentioned that it tastes really good with it and is her go-to, so I decided to get that as well. I also love ginger, so this was a suitable drink for me. We also ordered a lemon with mountain tea to refresh ourselves. This was customizable with other toppings so we picked the grass jelly. The staff was really kind to deliver the drinks to our table (we were sitting outside). The ginger almond milk tea was so good. Man, I am sad that this is a limited edition drink; I would love to have this on a regular basis. Near the end of the sip, I got some of the ginger pieces. I thought this was nice, but if you are not fond of ginger, this might be too much ginger. The lemon mountain was very refreshing and was also our favorite. The tea here has a gentle and refreshing flavor that doesn't leave an aftertaste. For tea drinks, this would be the place I would go next time.
There are few places that welcome you as an old friend and brighten your day with a smile. Li Cha Tea is that place. Tucked in near Walnut Creek along Broadway, it's a subtle reminder of the beauty of the human existence. Echo (?) the owner, always greets people with a smile. She takes a minute to welcome you and invites you to enjoy the tea experience. Today, I enjoyed a hot Dong Ding tea with subtle roasted notes and a lovely rose Tea for later. There is a parking garage next door. If you're in Walnut Creek and crave a tea and a smile, do yourself the honor of stopping by this hidden gem.

I was in the area and I wanted to try some new milk tea place. This placed opened up on Yelp for me and I decided to give it a try. There is a wall of stamp cards, which I find unique and never seen before. It sure was quite a sight. Black Milk Tea: I learned they used Earl Grey as their base, which is a huge plus for me. I made my drink less ice and 80% sweet, which is the perfect ratio for my type of MT. Overall, the drink was not too bad. It had the flavor of the Earl grey and was not overly sweet. The boba was alright and I found nothing special about them. I can see myself coming back here again
Without a doubt, Li Cha Tea is the friendliest and warmest Boba Tea establishment I've ever experienced in my life. The owners go above and beyond to ensure their customers are happy with their purchase. Whenever I've witnessed a customer complaining about a drink being too sugary, or too watery, or anything less than exceptional, the staff will immediately replace the order with a new one. These two owners are on a quest to make their customers feel more like "house guests" in their very own home. What a refreshing approach to a retail environment! :) So thank you Li Cha for creating such a welcoming atmosphere to any and to all! We appreciate you so much! I'm so thrilled to know they exist and support the Walnut Creek community with their delicious teas and loving kindness.
Saw this place on Yelp and so happened to walk by this weekend so I decided to try! Located near downtown walnut creek so I believe there is only street parking, or maybe you can find some parking lots nearby/behind. The shop is pretty small, you pretty much just order and wait outside. There is outdoor seating which is nice! I ordered a large jasmine milk tea 80% sweet and less ice, no toppings (~$5.50) and got the smallest cup of milk tea... not sure if they misheard me and gave me a regular cup? But definitely not worth the price if that was the size of a large. Jasmine milk tea is my go-to drink at new boba places since it's good, basic drink to judge if the place is good or not (imo). The drink was absolutely tasteless and watered down, I was shocked really. Even if I got a little less sweet, it shouldn't have been that flavorless. Maybe it's just a one off time but probably won't risk coming back just because there's so many other places I could go to instead!! Workers were nice so I'm not giving this place 1 star.
Walk to this place after world famous hot boy. My wife and I like to try boba spots we haven't been to give them a try. So she kinda orders the same flavor at most boba spots. She and I shared the taro matcha milk tea w/ boba. I'd say Presentation of the drink looks nice and the employee was very friendly. And the location was tucked off to the side with a lot of shade and tables with umbrellas perfect for a sunny hot day. But the flavor did not hit the spot. Sorta bland and nothing really catches the taste buds. Will come back to give them a second try. But for now 3 starts just for location and presentation.
Sinceretea was closed today, so I decided to try this place instead. I ordered an Assam Black Milk Tea w/ boba (reg sweet, reg ice). My bf ordered a Strawberry Mango Tea (reg sweet, reg ice). Instead of getting the Assam, I think the guy messed up my order so I ended up with an Earl Grey Milk Tea. I can't explain it but the boba balls weren't all that great. My milk tea also had a strange aftertaste. It must be the sweetener that they use. My bf seemed to enjoy his fruit tea, but I didn't care for it too much. To me it tasted like artificial sweetener. Also, the drinks are much pricer than what I am used to. Their milk teas cost about $4.55 for regular size. If you consider yourself a boba snob, I would try a different boba shop.
Came here this past weekend for boba. My partner got the chocolate cream brûlée. She said it was okay. I tried it I though it tasted like this Filipino chocolate desert/ oatmeal depending how you make it- I thought it tasted like champarado (not sure if that's spelled right) but if you're Filipino you know what that is lol. I liked mine too brown sugar fresh milk. It was just right and the boba was warm and not so hard like some places. I really liked it. They seemed busy and a lady would walk the drinks out calling out to people who ordered.
We ordered a Thai tea and taro tea, both with boba and the taro tea with oat milk. I was shocked at the price, with a $1.50 tip our total came to $18.82. That seems a little HIGH? They were good but the Thai tea was a little watery. I didn't want the non-dairy creamer (from powder) that they make the taro tea with but getting it made with oak milk I found out was an extra $2. Not sure if I'll go back here again, the prices seem absurd to me.
Li Cha Tea is situated in the Broadway Point retail building with convenient sidewalk dining spaces. The indoor space is very small but quaint. Service is friendly. The menu offers a variety of traditional tea, milk tea, fruit tea, and fruit yogurt smoothie drinks. Prices are fair. Taste is pretty average. It's great that the staff come and bring your drinks and food direct to you. The ambience of the outdoor patio dining space is what will draw me back especially on a sunny afternoon. In bad weather this place would actually be more troublesome to come to as there are not any immediate parking spots in front.

I absolutely love it here! This is my favorite boba place in the area. I come here a lot. They have a great selection of drinks, high quality tea, friendly owners, and nice tables and chairs to sit outside with umbrellas. It's so refreshing to come here on a hot summer day. I love their matcha latte, and the rose milk tea. And the egg puffs! The drinks are always so good. I like the variety of teas they have, and that they use less sugar so you taste the tea more. The texture of the boba is always great. read more

Tried their mango yogurt shake and their salted creama dong ding oolong tea and both were delicious! The mango shake is really aesthetic and I saw others ordering their specialty drinks which looked so pretty and also I'm sure taste delicious. They have stamp cards which they actually allow you to leave at the store (you write your name on it and tape it to the wall) so you never have the problem of forgetting your stamp card! haha how creative. Also tried their pandan egg waffle upon the suggestion of the owner - I love egg waffles. Their egg waffle was great - crispy on the edges and the "egg" portion was puffy and chewy. It also looked super unique b/c the pandan made it green. The pandan flavor is really subtle so I'd recommend it if you haven't tried pandan before! Will definitely be back to try their other specialty drinks! read more
Wrote two fairly longer reviews, so I'll keep this one short. My main gripe last time was in regards to the way that the portions were a bit too far off than they should have been. I'm glad that when I went in today the owners also acknowledged that they took the feedback in, and accounted for and took responsibility for it, so very nice of them, as mentioned before. The service here was never the issue. Today I brought my friend to try out the place, and got another passion fruit as usual. No issues today, cup was filled up as it should be, and they were pretty busy with plenty of people just sitting at the outside area (no designated area from the shop), and had a nice atmosphere of a chill spot with everybody if you wanted to visit a boba place and just hang out a bit, which is kind of rare nowadays. All in all, great service, friendly staff, and I will definitely be back again in the future. read more
I was super excited to try this place when they first opened bc their photos looked amazing, however I have been to this place a few times now and have to say it is an okay milk tea place. I really wanted to like it more bc the owner is so nice but it is just standard for me. Here are my notes: - Tea is not strong. Tastes watery. - Too sweet even when you get less sweet. - Boba is small and hard. - Lychee jelly is good - although 75c is kinda - Egg puffs are good. - Has a decent amount of drink options. - Cups are cute. - Has some seating outside. Drinks I've tried: - Purple yam marble & chocolate Creme Brulee were both just okay. Looks pretty but doesn't taste special. - Assam black tea with salted crema - got no sugar so I could really taste that the tea flavor was very watery - not strong. -Rose milk tea no sugar with boba - tea was actually good and was the right amount of sweet with just the rose syrup. My daughter and I grabbed some boba while shopping here. I ordered the Lychee Fruit Tea with 25% sweetness and I enjoyed it. My daughter ordered milk tea with boba. She thought its was good. The staff are friendly but weren't really knowledgeable about some of their drinks when asked. Seems little but these things matter if you're asking about ingredients and whats in their drinks. read more

Went in the afternoon on a Wednesday so it wasn't busy at all. They have a large selection of teas. Also noticed they had dumplings on the menu! lady working the front was very friendly. I didn't feel rushed in ordering as it was my first time there and I was getting myself acquainted with the menu. My drink was flavorful and sweet; boba was soft just like I like it. I had the brown sugar fresh milk w/ boba. My sister got taro/matcha milk tea. Only downside is they close pretty early, but considering the circumstances that's understandable. Will be coming back to try more favors. read more

Small portions for the price of a large elsewhere. Presentation is good.. location is good vibes. I like how they have a stamp card. Woulld only come if I need my boba fix while in the area- wouldn't make the trip , better boba spots in tricity area. Display photos are a bit misleading and inaccurate to what you actually receive. Chocolate creme brûlée marble milk tea: I like how it's chocolate But not too sweet. Misleading name Taro matcha marble: presentation cool. Misleading name. Not getting any marble/matcha. Straight taro. Not even worth a try. Participant says not satisfied and not worth 6$. Salted crema dongding: likes the hints of fruit and oolong tea. What is dongding? Wish they had a different lid so I can drink crema. Would get it again. Brown sugar fresh milk tea: traditional taste. Nothing out of the ordinary. Average, not the best. Quicklys vibe. Could be sweeter. But the boba texture is good. read more

Great selection of teas with interesting favors. Unfortunately, with the two drinks I tried, they sounded better on paper than the actual product. Ordered both drinks with 50% sweet and no ice and it was already plenty sweet. Salted Crema Four Seasons Spring Tea - sweet tea with no particular distinct favors. With the salted crema mixed in, tasted like a yogurt drink. Chocolate Creme Brulee Marble Milk Tea - tasted exactly like coco power mixed in water. The creme brulee was more like pudding rather than creme brulee. Pretty disappointing. I definitely would not order the Chocolate Creme Brulee Marble Milk Tea again but am open to try other drinks. Hope I'll have better luck next time. read more

For me to give a boba place 5 stars says a lot. Expecially if I didn't even order my drink correctly lol. The flavor is of their tea is what sets this place apart. This was my first time trying Li Cha. I got the genmaicha milk tea and it tastes so good. You can really taste the genmaicha. Genmaicha is Japanese brown rice green tea and you can really tell it's authentic genmaicha. Soooo good. I wish I ordered it with honey boba tho. I mistakenly ordered the agar boba and I'm not a big fan of agar boba. But the flavor of the milk tea makes up for it. Their door dash delivery was 30 min faster than the expectation time that was set. read more
It's alright! Open for takeout and delivery through Ubereats and DoorDash during shelter-in-place. Pros: - Friendly and quick service - Wide range of drink options - Pretty store and drink aesthetic. I really like the marble-look that both our drinks came with. - Taro and matcha was pretty yummy. Cons: - Banana smoothie that we got was not smooth at all. It had huge chunks of ice in it. - Didn't ask us what sugar or ice level we wanted. I forgot to specify this so I have no idea what they actually served to us. Looks like they offer boba making classes, which is pretty cool! There's seating outside along the sidewalk area. read more

I wanted I-Tea, but it's under new ownership and name. I ordered a Large Taro Matcha Marble Milk Tea with Lychee Jelly and a Beef Bowl. It costed me $17.30!!!! The size for both was very small. For the price paid, I was hoping for real Taro, but only tasted the powder. Also, the beef bowl was ok. It tasted like the bulgogi beef from Costco. I will not be returning because I believe there are better cheap choices out there. read more
Really want to like this place. Called ahead to place an order for the egg puffs, oolong purple yam drink, and salted crema oolong tea. Let me break it down for you: Egg puffs- it was salty. Texture and consistency were overall good, but they added way too much salt that this yummy Hong Kong eats became salty. Definitely not worth the price they charged(over $6) Salted crema dong ding oolong tea- underwhelming. The oolong tea flavor was really good, but the boba itself was horrible- no flavor whatsoever Purple yam drink- so wanted to love this drink, reason why I chose this place. There is barely any purple yam flavor, boba was not good, and the regular size was SO small! In addition to it all, they gave us paper straws that did not work! We jabbed and jabbed and couldn't get to our drinks until we got home. I know during covid times we want to support small business, but unfortunately I would not come back. read more

Decided to try Li Cha Tea on a whim, for an afternoon pick-me-up. What a pick-me-up! To start, the couple running this shop is so very kind. The shop itself is sooo cute. There is a lot of selection from the menu, which also includes some food. We ordered the classic milk tea, the high mountain tea, and the egg puffs. This place is the GOOD! I can actually taste the tea, the sweetness (adjustable) was perfect, and my freshly made egg puffs were all gone in the brief car ride home. YUM. This was...a really nice breath of fresh air. Good experience, good drinks, good snacks. They've already found a regular customer in us. read more

I just love how you can adjust sweetness and ice level on their specialty drinks. Some boba places couldn't do that as they come standard. Anyway, their boba is soft and chewy and their drinks are very good. I would drive here just to get my fix, esp their matcha drinks. It's also a plus that their egg puff are chewy and flavorful even if it's just the plain ones without toppings. Service us friendly and they plus that they offer boba making class. read more
No dining or waiting inside during Covid. Area is closed off but looked like it became a storage area. Compared to the other boba places nearby, I have to rate their pearl drinks accordingly. We enjoyed the egg puff, although the batter was not enough, so each puff was half dome instead of a full puff. The Thai ice tea w pearl tasted like it was 50% ice, 50% sugar, if you like that option, but I didn't order it like that. The pearls were chewy and "hard"(like uncooked), compared how it's supposed to be, chewy and soft pearls. read more
Clean, and welcoming, NEW Bubble Tea Spot in Downtown Walnut Creek! Excellent Customer Service, Outstanding Tea Options, Variety Of Food Choices, & Fast Service! **This was my first time patronizing this business and thoroughly enjoyed my experience, from beginning to end.** It is located next to where Jamba Juice used to be, on the corner of Duncan and North Main. Echo and Tony are the owners who are tremendously gracious and willing to answer any questions one may have. It is clear that they take pride in ownership of this business. The menus are easy to read as they are on the wall, to the right, upon entry. Not only do they offer cold, and hot, teas, but a variety of boba/drink topping options can be added as well. Furthermore, they also have food choices to pick from. As for the tea, you can pick from two sizes, along with your choice of sugar options, and amount of ice wanted. To make things "user-friendly" for all patrons, the menus are in English, but also in different languages -- I was impressed by this as Walnut Creek has an array of ethnicities residing here so many languages are spoken. I was craving something sweet so I opted for the Chocolate Crème Brulee Marble Milk Tea. I got it iced with boba, 50% half sugar, and 30% slight ice. WOW!!! THIS MADE MY TASTEBUDS DANCE!!! SOOOO GOOD!! :D They have free Wi-Fi, accept all major credit cards, as well as cash, fast service and an immensely inviting atmosphere. Three tables inside and a few tables outside. Parking is either on the street, or in the garage where Starbucks, Bank of America, and Il Fornaio all are. Definitely a gem of a Bubble Tea spot to try! Li Cha Tea is the newest boba addition to Walnut Creek, taking the place that formerly belonged to iTea then QQ Tea. There are a few sandwich boards outside advertising the store and the branding outside and inside the store is a lot nicer than it was previously, which let me know that this wasn't yet another rebranded iTea (as QQ Tea was). The interior space is unfortunately the same as it was when it was iTea but they probably couldn't do too much about that. The menu looks really interesting! It seems their specialty is salted creama drinks so I got one of those - I picked the Dong Ding Oolong Tea since I've never heard of it before. I got the drink at 80% sweetness but next time I'll get it at 50% since the creama and boba added extra sweetness to the drink already. The tea was very strong, as it should be. The boba was perfectly cooked, soft and chewy the way I like it. The salted creama was very thick and perfectly rich and sweet. The consistency is much thicker than salted creama at most boba stores (ShareTea, Happy Lemon) and after I shook up my drink, there were still bits of chunky creama that didn't mix well. I liked chewing on those bits and it had the same consistency as cream cheese. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their other drinks and food items! I like that they also have a section of their menu dedicated to Walnut Creek. read more

Despite how overwhelming this pandemic can be, Li Cha has uplifted my day! My family and I were roaming Broadway until we stumbled upon this boba place. Although there weren't a lot of places in this area that were open, Li Cha was open for takeout! I was amazed with their menu when I first walked in, seeing these different items I never usually see, such as the Butter Spam. I decided to try something new, so I ordered the Taiwan High Mountain Tea. The order process was very quick and easy! Waiting did not take long. It is nice to wait outside as there are a lot of beautiful things to take pictures with. Once my drink was done, the staff gave me my drink and polished it with ease because they knew I was going to take a picture. Their kindness as a staff was cute and wholesome. The employees were very caring and overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and environment of the place. The drink itself tasted very sweet! It didn't look like a milk tea, but it tasted like one! You can even take a class on how to make boba, making this place unique and creative! I would definitely come back! read more

Good boba and egg puffs! Ordered the oolong purple yam marble tea. The drink was so pretty and the boba was flavorful and chewy. I definitely recommend 50% sweet or lower for drinks in general; 50% was plenty sweet for my taste. Tea flavor was a bit lacking but I attribute that to the flavor I picked. I also ordered pandan egg puffs. Pandan flavor was lacking in the puffs but they came out piping hot and texture was right: crisp on the outside and soft inside. Staff was kind and came out to check on me/if I liked my drink as I ate outside :) Would come back for sure. read more
