Tin City is really amazing. So much surrounding this place. The inside felt very much like being at home but with a school vibe to do the lockers where they store there wine in. Isabelle took care of us and she was absolutely amazing. Always willing to recommend options for us. She was beyond friendly. Despite being close to closing time she didn't rush us in anyway. She even shared some food with my 3.5 year old as she was needing a little something. We ended up sharing ghost stories for a bit with her so that was really fun. What I liked is that she actually sat down with us and talked about the wine. Like I said I felt at home. The whites were very good. Unique varietials were offered. My friend who liked the whites was very pleased. The reds were also solid. I ended up with a bottle of franc for home and I joined the wine club. Isabelle was a huge reason we joined the club. The lovely Popie provided us with exemplary service for our tasting! She walked us through the different varietals and clearly knew her stuff when it comes to wine and quality of the vintages. Her humor and conversation really made the time fly by. For tastings, I loved that you get to select your choice of 5 wines from their large selection. They have a big tv behind the bar area that you can request sports games on - we watched the World Cup game! The best part of our experience was engaging with the locals. The wonderful people we met - both working here and returning customers are clearly so connected as a community and were very welcoming to us out-of-towners. And being totally inside with no views of anything was kind of a drag. But still 5 Stars due to the wines and the atmosphere of the inside. Deena was great and sat down and explained every wine in great detail. She even let me try the Reserve Cab which was excellent. One of the whites wasn't good at all and I had to ask for a new glass so I wouldn't taint the next sample. But you're probably not going to like them all. That's the fun part! I enjoyed learning about the Austin Hope winery and its origins. I felt like they grew in popularity quickly and threw up some barns to accommodate the crowds. For example, the bathroom wasn't well constructed as when people slammed the door shut, the walls shook. I can't imagine how the walls would shake if someone had a blowout here. Even with some of the downfalls, this was my favorite winery and I wish I could get some of the wines without joining the club. The commitment is too much and shipping is also high, so it's not worth it. The GSM was my favorite and if I ever see it somewhere, Ima get me some!

We have…read morestayed loyal to Austin Hope--even when cutting other clubs--specifically because of the service, but that era has clearly ended. We are the type of members who always take great care of the staff and rarely leave without purchasing extra bottles, yet today we were treated like an inconvenience. ​Despite being told in the past that spontaneous visits were no problem for members, we were turned away on a gloomy Monday with plenty of open tables. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off. We were told our only options were to come back in an hour, a "limited" tasting, drive all the way downtown, or just pick up our shipment and leave. ​We asked for the Wine Club Manager to resolve the situation, but she wasn't on-site. To be offered a "partial" tasting as a favor after nearly ten years of support was the final straw. It feels as though they now prioritize "closing" new members over honoring the people who have supported them for years. They've gone mainstream and lost the personal touch that made them special.

Today, Thursday , they have wines by the glass for $5! What an incredible deal. Since I drink only white wines, I was able to get a generous sample of 3 different wines for less than a tasting! Wines are good but not as good as I remembered before they sold the winery. We had the Diavola pizza and the Porchetta sandwich. The pizza was delicious. The sandwich was pretty good but it was a little dry. We also ended our lunch with a lovely tiramisu. The tiramisu was moist with the right amount of alcohol and cream. Just delicious. Service was great. The staff are very friendly. My son has a dairy allergy and can't have the cheese on regular pizzas. The chef was very accommodating and allowed us to bring in our specially wrapped vegan cheese to use on his pizza. Thank you for this accommodation! The eatery was very calming and was a wonderful way to spend our lunch hour. They did not rush us and we felt very welcomed. Definitely will be back here again.

Once I heard what happened I was more sad but happy to hear the new owner wants to continue Vina Robles. I wish as a member I would have gotten notified. Went to their new location which was really convenient since we were going to other wineries near there. It's still a big location. Plenty of seating and they still offer food which we were happy about. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable which I always appreciate when it comes to wine. We started a tasting and then just tried whatever she gave us which we weren't complaining. Haha. All the wine she was giving us was really good. I was really impressed by their food. I wanted more of everything. We got their bruschetta al Fresco, hummus, monte Bianca pizza, and one other pizza. I fell in love with their bruschetta. We got there right as there kitchen closed which was a bummer because I wanted more. Overall, I still enjoy their wine. Their location is really nice. Food is delicious. I will conintue being a member and will stop by anytime I am in the area.
