The multiple spa spaces (steam room, clay sauna, Finnish sauna, and more) make it perfect for a large-ish gathering to have elbow room (we had 20 people) while the layout also makes it intimate enough that we felt connected. Nothing like all your friends cheering from the hot tub while you cold plunge! While the spa is always "social" so no need to whisper, I highly recommend the luxury and fun of a private booking. Aside from respectfully keeping our voices low in the locker room near treatment rooms being used by other guests, we were able to laugh and toast to our hearts' content. On that note, the staff was so accommodating with a table for the snacks we brought, a tub with ice for our drinks, and generally all the coordination that it took to pull this off. They made it as easy as possible. And on the day-of, Denise was a particularly gracious host -- welcoming us and even patiently/considerately snapping a group photo from multiple angles (at our request, to be clear - haha). I'll be back many more times -- whether solo or with friends. So grateful for this urban retreat in a very convenient location for Seattle-area city'zens.

In addition, the Luxury package includes basic facial treatments, such as makeup or sunscreen removal, gentle face wash, soothing facial massage using the Gua Sha stone, and a revitalizing face mask. I was greeted at the door by friendly staff, and they helped me change into slippers and escorted me to a waiting area with delicious herbal tea while I waited. They said the tea had many health benefits, and there is even a flyer in the lobby explaining each element in the tea. The ceiling was covered in gold glitter, plenty of natural light from the windows, and a calming atmosphere. Tina was my masseuse, and she came and got me from the waiting area. She was wonderful, professional, and mentioned she only works on Sundays. She did an excellent job executing everything in the package as promised, and she was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. I would love to book with her again. The treatment room has three beds side by side, separated by curtains. I came around 5 pm, so it was starting to die down. It was quiet except for the soft clinking of the stones, gua sha, and the sounds from the steam treatment and water used to rinse. The room was dimly lit when I came in, it was little bit brighter when I opened my eyes. At the end of my session, after I got dressed (they have you take off your top and bra so they can massage your neck and shoulders easily, and they give you one of those spa wrap robes to wear during the treatment), Tina blow-dried my hair before sending me off. There was another sweet older lady who gave me more of that delicious tea, and they had a three-tiered serving tray with some candy and chips. The coffee candy is where it's at, I also grabbed a ginseng candy to try too. They were both so wonderful, I hugged them before leaving! I cannot wait to come back and take my boyfriend with me next time. This was a top tier experience and will proudly spread the word. I already have a few people in mind that live in the area that may love this! Please support this lovely local business! Something to note: parking is available on the street, and I believe when I walked up, they had two spots out front, but I could be wrong, so don't quote me on that. The cool off area, with white sand on the ground makes you feel like you're on a beach. It's dimly lit which is nice and relaxing, they give you some tea and fruit as you relax from the sauna. I booked two treatments for me and a friend and prepaid in advance. I received multiple email confirmations for these treatments for the dry sauna and massage/facial leading up to the appointments with encouragement to arrive early and enjoy the amenities. My friend and I arrived early to see a sign at the checkout desk saying that the person at the desk had stepped away and to call a number to check in. Upon calling, I spoke to a nice person who said they would find someone to check us in. A person showed up a few minutes later claiming that they were not the front desk but were going to help us. They seemed annoyed that we had arrived early saying that our appointments were at a later time. I shared that we received multiple emails telling us to come 15 min early to the dry sauna first before our appt. The response was "Oh that's a back office thing." They led us into a waiting area to fill out our liability forms, gave us locker room keys, and left. We were unsure of where to go after we completed the forms, so we found the lockers thinking to get ready. Upon opening the lockers, there were no robes or slippers, so we went back out to the waiting room. When the person helping us showed up again, we told them that we didn't see any robes in the lockers and they said "Yeah the person responsible for restocking the robes didn't do it today so you can use a towel." I clarified that they meant for us to just walk out in a towel in this public space (near the hotel gym) and they said "Yes - some guests have done that." It felt like they were being dismissive and just didn't want to be bothered. They left us alone to wait in the waiting area. As we sat there, we noticed there was a little table meant for water and snacks but the snack bowls were empty, there was no water, and only hand sanitizer. At that point, we decided that the first impression the spa was making on us was a bit unacceptable and it felt like they were unprepared for any guests. Customer service was not present and we generally felt unwelcome and left to our own devices. We decided to call the spa phone line again to share feedback and cancel our services. I would not suggest booking treatments here. My friend and I booked this for a spa weekend getaway and were extremely disappointed as we both flew in from out of state for this. One "positive" is that the person we complained to was able to refund us and apologize but it was still a pretty big let down overall.
