This was our 2nd time coming here and it's the perfect little getaway! This place was built in 1920 that gives an old school charm and the rooms are very quaint! I recommend booking directly through them and supporting local businesses. Our room had a mini refrigerator, stove top, microwave, coffee pot and dish ware, silverware and more. This place has it all! It's located near 2 beaches and next door is a little market with fresh vegetables and fruit, local honey and much more. You can also walk to restaurants, shops and more. If you happen to be there on a Sunday morning make sure to hit up the local farmers market. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

I love this hidden gem and have stayed here a few times. Quiet, clean, great location. Cute property and I do love it here. The employees are super nice. I have to say, I was not too thrilled with the room we have this time. Super hot! Tiny air conditioner that was loud but barely cool. No ceiling fan in the room which would've helped tremendously! I did go to the office and they lent us a box fan. That made it bare able. Lastly, the bed was soft but felt and sounded like it was going to collapse. I hope they check it out and get a new one. I would stay again but make sure not to get that particular room again.

Leucadia beach inn was the perfect place for a socially distant vacation. The rooms have a fridge, a stove, and a kitchen table. The manager was so friendly and helpful. The property is pretty. The bed was comfortable (though possibly smaller than advertised? I'm not sure). Also, the rooms are pet friendly. We were able to walk to the ocean in about 5 minutes. There are tons of good food options that are walkable. The only thing we didn't totally realize is that the beaches nearby aren't pet friendly...wah wah. Anyway, it wasn't the inn's fault. Also, it's located right next to a train line and we had some super loud trains go by in the night. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

What a great place! Our room was on the 2nd floor in the back. It was perfect! King bed, kitchenette, small bathroom. This place is clean clean clean! Parking off the alley in the back had 5 spots, additional 4 spots out front with street parking if needed. Walking distance to Beacon's beach and great restaurants. The courtyard rooms look like a blast from the past. There're train tracks across the street for city commuters. Because of our room location, we hardly heard it. We didn't have our dogs with us but they're welcome here too. I can't wait to come back!

We had THE best stay at the inn. We checked in early and got a tour of the property. Very personable and friendly staff. We felt right at home. Very clean rooms and beautiful property. The best part.... free parking right near your room. It was a very quiet property. Even though they were totally booked it was quiet and peaceful. Restaurants and fresh fruit and veggie mart within walking distance. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you for making our visit enjoyable.

Our dogs passed out in the comfy room

I specify in-person because calling them on the phone to confirm details was terrible. AI agent phone screen and then when a real person picked up, he seemed to have zero answers about the property and the amenities. In-person though, the service was fantastic. Friendly staff and guest services showing up at lightning speed left me speechless. Called down for extra slippers, and guest services showed up within 5 minutes. Asked for water as well and he returned within 2 minutes. Swear the staff must be sprinting or something. The rooms are great. We got a lagoon view, which while not as beautiful as an ocean view, was quite nice. We had a view of the freeway and a parking lot, but in the not-so-far distance, there was a nice view of the lagoon. The room. patio, and shower are all massive. What I loved most was the room, especially the shower. It had a thoughtfully designed, thick glass door that opened easily. In most hotels, I hesitate before turning on the water, bracing for that sudden burst of heat overhead. But here, everything was arranged with care, so I could step in comfortably and enjoy the shower without that small anxiety. The details in the room made it even better--a Nespresso machine ready for a slow morning, and a proper water kettle, which always feels like a small luxury. The bed was soft and welcoming, the kind you sink into at the end of a long day. We didn't have an ocean view, but the patio had its own charm--quiet, intimate, and enough to make you pause. The best part, though, was the beach. Just a short walk down the stairs, and your feet meet the sand. The shoreline isn't wide, but it stretches beautifully along the coast. I found myself walking there in the mornings and again in the evenings, letting the rhythm of the waves mark the day. That simple routine--down the stairs, onto the sand--became the most memorable part of the stay.

Parking was valet only which was quick and seamless (and free!). The staff at the entry of the hotel was super helpful in providing directions to get down to the pool as one of my girlfriend's said it was a little confusing to find, but I was given a clear guide on how to get down there and got there without issue. We had our own server at the cabana who provided us with our free fruit plate and bottle of bubbly to share, and took food and drink orders. She and her coworkers checked on us pretty frequently and kept us well-stocked. The day was a little overcast and cloudy but the pool was a lovely cool temp, and the jacuzzi was in the same general area so when we got a little chilly we hopped on over. After spending some time in the adult-only pool area, we headed up to the family friendly deck and took a couple of runs down the slides, which was super fun. Around the time we were meant to clear out, our server was super sweet and let us know they would just start to pick up around us but we were welcome to stay longer if we wanted to, since there was no one coming in behind us. We continued relaxing until we were all ready to go but first we got to chatting with another staff member, Bryan, who was super rad and shared all his favorite nearby spots to eat. The staff is really so wonderful here! Very friendly and professional. Overall my first visit to the Park Hyatt Aviara was very enjoyable, and I would absolutely visit again (preferably on a hot, sunny day). Highly recommend for any and all poolside celebrations!

After a long day at the Legoland water park my family of 4 was ready to shower and get to sleep. Unfortunately the house keeping, which I might add did a wonderful job, they forgot to add towels. I called the front desk, at least 5 times till I finally got through and asked if we could get more towels. She said I need to go grab them from the front , so I did! Once I got there the heavy set older white lady looked very overwhelmed and gave me 2 towels. I asked for 2 more since we are a family of 4. She said there were NO MORE TOWELS TILL THE MORNING !!! So you're telling me in this entire hotel there aren't any towels !!?? Find that hard to believe !! Also at night every other hour there is a train that passes by and blares its horn , so I could not get any sleep! Also at the pool there is no towels available once they are gone .

We stayed for a few nights during our home fumigation and after comparing just about every motel/inn around the Encinitas and Carlsbad area, I'm really glad we settled on this one. Pros: it is clean! That's not to be confused with showing its age, because it absolutely could use a facelift, but the cleanliness was there. It's convenient! Right by the freeway and yet close enough to downtown Encinitas to walk to dinner or shopping. Conveniently located right across the street from Lazy Acres, a laundromat, Mexican food, and Mr. Peabody's bar and grill. It has a nice little gym. Was there some dust? Sure but the equipment and weights did the trick, and the small gym had a little patio to stand on during cool downs. NO added cost to park cars! Some hotels were asking for $30-40 per night per vehicle and this place had the cost covered in the standard $15 hotel fee. Park as many cars as you'd like. Come and go as you please. The parking lot felt safe, and as a woman making several trips to my car in the evening I felt just fine. It's nice that you're up on a hill so you do feel more secluded from any possible unsavory surprises. No hidden fees! They are upfront about taxes and there were no surprises. WiFi was just fine, though our stay was not during busy season. Continental breakfast is included! Fried eggs and sausage were very average, but grab some coffee, a pastry, some toast, juice, cereal and you don't have to think twice about breakfast. It was basic but not gross by any means. This is not the place for you if you're expecting 5 star service, but it would be a great spot for families visiting town. Note: turn down service and daily cleaning is not provided but this was not an issue for us staying just a few days. Comfy beds and pillows, towels are nice. Front desk staff was helpful when needed, and every room has a nice balcony view. The walls are thin so if you're by the elevator or ice machine, expect to hear some kids running down the halls, but this place has everything we needed at a very affordable rate. We would absolutely come back for a little staycation in the future.

We've grown to like Hampton Inns in general because they have such a great breakfast and the rooms tend to be spacious and comfortable, and this was no exception. In this specific case, because our American Express card is linked to Hilton Honors, we were able to use our reward points to book the room (cost us 60,000 points for the night). This was also the first time I had used the Hilton mobile app for Hampton Inn. I was able to use the app to not only book the room, but check in the night before, get a digital key, and check out. I used the digital key in the app to unlock the room door, and it was very fast and easy. There was also a floor plan of the hotel on the app so I could see where our room was located and could walk straight there. The only time I had any interaction with the front desk was to stop by during breakfast the next day to verify that check-out time was noon. Pros: Room was comfortable and spacious, very easy to maneuver the wheelchair in. This particular room has a roll-in shower, and you get a nice, full strength stream of water (so many other hotels have water-saving devices where the stream is fairly weak). Also, the bathroom has a nightlight. At other hotels, I usually have to leave the bathroom light or entry-way light on so I can find my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night without bumping into anything, but the nightlight in the bathroom cast just enough light for me to see. Air conditioning worked well. I was a little confused because there was a thermostat controller mounted on the wall that I couldn't get to power on. Turns out that you control the temperature and fan directly from the A/C unit that's mounted under the window. There's also a switch mounted on the wall that controls the window shade. Nice full breakfast, with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, Belgian waffle machines, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, different breads to make toast, and a juice machine. Staff was very mindful to keep all of the items stocked up. Tip: for crispier bacon, lay a napkin on a paper plate, put your bacon on it, then press another napkin on top of the bacon to soak up the grease. Roomy desk that was big enough where I could set up my laptop plus a portable external monitor. USB ports by the bed and desk for phone charging. Noon check-out time. We could sleep in and take our time to pack. Cons: Our room (room 132) didn't have any towel racks. The towels are folded nicely on a couple of shelves in the bathroom, and there's a hook next to the shower where the hair dryer hung from, but there were no towel racks to hang face cloths, hand towels, and bath towels once you used them. I looked at some of the pictures from other reviews, and it looks like in a regular, non-accessible room, there are racks mounted on the shower door. But since our roll-in shower had shower curtains instead of a shower door, there were no racks. They could easily mount a couple on the back wall between the shower and toilet. We ended up using the hand rails around the toilet to hang our towels. Could use some more lighting by the dresser/TV. There is a small desk lamp on the desk, and two lights by the head of the bed, but the dresser area gets a little dark at night. The bar in the closet is a little low, but maybe this is to make it easier to reach for someone in a wheelchair. If you have a long dress that needs hanging, your dress is probably going to touch the floor. Seating area for breakfast is a little cramped and small. If you want to move a chair out of the way to make room for a wheelchair, difficult finding a place to put the chair temporarily. There are also some seats in the lobby. Could use some more handicapped parking spaces. There are only four, and all were taken by the time we got there. But there seemed to be plenty of parking in general.

We were given no warning, and were very disappointed that the pool--a widely advertised amenity--was unavailable. We had no notice until we arrived on the creepy, half-done property, despite booking directly through the Wyndham website. The staff was friendly but often appeared unprofessional, with some unshaven men and everyone in casual clothes. Our room itself was clean except for a marijuana cigarette in its purchase container that we discovered between a mattress and the headboard. The makeshift lobby was difficult to find. We had no housekeeping service for the three days we stayed. Breakfast was a store-bought muffin and coffee (but we knew that in advance so it's o.k., but we planned to have a real breakfast in the cafe on the property that was listed as an amenity on the Wyndham website but it was permanently closed without warning). I will not trust the Days Inn brand or the Wyndham brand again.
