The bed was absolutely scrumptious, our private deck had a distant ocean view and space for yoga, and the soaking tub with flowers and bath salts made staying in feel like an experience. I loved that nothing felt like standard hotel luxury. The details are personal, creative and unexpected. I painted, journaled, picked lettuce and herbs from the biodynamic garden, and after a couples massage we relaxed with a foot soak while watching a Great Horned Owl in the garden. Breakfast was also much more substantial than expected, with fresh juice, chia yogurt, eggs, avocado, fruit, nuts and banana bread delivered in a picnic basket. We added salmon and were full until late afternoon. There is plenty to do nearby, but that is almost beside the point. Between the gardens, beautiful rooms, the creativity station with flower pressing and dish garden making, the lounge library,all the healthy food and quiet creative experiences, the Inn feels like a true oasis. For someone who usually measures a trip by how much I can fit into it, one of the best parts of this one was not leaving.

We were surrounded by other rooms, we either didn't have any neighbors or they were really quiet. I was able to hear someone talking through the wall as a mumble, but that went away. Because of the seemingly thin walls I avoided watching the laughably small and awkwardly hung t.v. The worst part was the bathroom which because of the ac situation makes you open a window that stares directly at the door of your neighbor. They do have a nice enough lobby area with some coffee and snacks as well as a good place to sit an enoy them. The location is the selling point, very close to the beach and a few blocks away from downtown, I didn't use a car while there. That was great. They also have a really cool rooftop hangout area with chairs to sit and relax. For what it's worth, my wife liked this place more then I did.

They printed the instructions for room service and left it on the dining table, in case if the customers need certain service. The front desk welcomes you and goes over the layout of the resort very well as it's very big! They also offered a golf cart tour. The amenities are great and the restaurant Ponto Lago was amazing. They have a 4 course dining options for $60 during restaurant week. I highly recommend recommend visiting the Resort and restaurant as its worth the visit!

My husband had just finished working six consecutive shifts at the fire department, and we were simply looking forward to a nice evening together. As we entered the parking lot, two men in a golf cart crossed in front of our vehicle. My husband honked, and there was later a brief verbal exchange about what had happened. There were no threats or physical confrontation from us, and we believed the matter was over. Later, while we were still seated at our dinner table, a woman we had never met approached us and began questioning us about the parking-lot interaction. She told us that she and her husband were club members, repeatedly referenced their membership, said she had never seen us there before, and told us she "didn't want any problems in the future." I cannot speak to what she intended, but the encounter made both of us feel intimidated, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. We later learned that an Aviara Country Club member event was being held at the restaurant that evening. After dinner, we discovered that our vehicle had been extensively damaged while parked on the property. Carlsbad Police investigated, and surveillance footage from the property documented what occurred. An individual associated with the earlier parking-lot encounter became the alleged suspect during the investigation. Our vehicle ultimately sustained nearly $15,000 in repair costs. I am intentionally not identifying anyone or making any statement about guilt. I am simply describing what my husband and I experienced that evening. What has disappointed us most is Park Hyatt Aviara's response afterward. I personally contacted hotel management and was told that Hyatt was cooperating with police, which we appreciated. We were also told that someone from Aviara Golf Club management would contact us to discuss what happened. That call never came. I understand that a hotel cannot control the actions of every person on its property, and I am not assigning legal responsibility to Hyatt. My concern is how we were treated as guests after such a serious and disturbing experience. We experienced an uncomfortable confrontation during dinner, left to discover nearly $15,000 in damage to our vehicle, and had to involve law enforcement. Yet we never felt the level of concern, communication, or follow-through we expected from a five-star property. That is what has been most disappointing. We chose Park Hyatt Aviara because we expected exceptional hospitality and guest care consistent with the Park Hyatt name. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and profoundly disappointed. I sincerely hope Park Hyatt Aviara considers how guests are cared for when something goes seriously wrong during their visit.

Lol. Okay. We just sat our things on the concrete under the umbrella hoping it wouldn't be long and enjoyed the pool. After checking a couple times and our encounter with the OTHER, older front desk lady; our room was ready at 4. That's check in time. The room was large and pretty nice; we did notice the floors were a bit "damp". The little patio with the chairs and view, very nice. We were able to hear the live music coming from marina bar as we were sitting outside of our room taking in the view. We took out a paddle boat that was complimentary at check in. The lake itself is very nice, pretty peaceful considering it sits smack-dab in the middle of a neighborhood. What makes my review a 3.8 isnt the accommodation. Recommended. Its front desk staff, in particular the second one i mentioned. She should enjoy her job more.

Upon arrival, we noticed chips and debris left on the carpet, which immediately suggested that the room had not been thoroughly vacuumed or properly inspected before check-in. In the bathroom, there was a woman's hair left in the shower, and some of the towels did not appear as fresh and clean as one would expect from a resort-level property. When staying at an upscale hotel or resort, cleanliness should be seamless and unquestionable. Guests should not have to inspect the carpet, shower, or towels and wonder whether the room was fully serviced before their arrival. Those details are fundamental to the overall guest experience. The property itself has many appealing qualities, but the housekeeping shortcomings significantly affected our impression of the stay. At this price point and level of presentation, I expected far greater attention to detail and a stronger quality-control process before rooms are released to guests. With more consistent housekeeping and room inspections, Lakehouse Resort could provide the experience its setting and branding suggest. Unfortunately, our room did not meet that standard.

Their doors were also very loud and startled us a few times during the night. Teeny tiny parking spaces in the private parking garage. I wish the bathroom fan was better. The bathroom mirror was unusable for at least 25 mins after a shower because it stayed too humid. There were supposed to be breakfast pastries and juice in the mornings, but I never saw these things. I asked about it when we checked out, and the person at the desk said we just needed to ask for them in the office each morning. I had anticipated a visible setup in the office based on my discussion with the person at check-in. A better explanation would have been helpful.
