The class was taught by Stacy, a USCCA instructor, and not only was it solid training, but it was completely free. Can't beat that. The facility itself is impressive. Weapons everywhere, but in a clean, organized, professional way. Plenty of staff walking around, ready to answer questions or show you something if you're curious. I showed up about five minutes late and the young lady at the counter didn't miss a beat--super friendly and got me to the class right away. The ranges are set up beautifully. I'm retired military and have shot in thousands of ranges, and this one still stood out. Well-designed, well-maintained, and clearly run by people who take pride in the space. The range price was great and reasonable. The store side is stocked with every accessory you could want--or didn't know you wanted--for your weapons. Tons of parking too, which made getting in and out a breeze. Overall, great facility, great people, great training. Definitely worth coming back.

There's no timing for how long you can be there but, of course, be mindful of others wanting to shoot. Be sure to get on the waitlist so your wait isn't too long! Would recommend going during the week verses the weekend due to crowding and wait times. Overall, I would return to this location to practice shooting!

5/5 - Safe, Clean, and Always On Point…read more Shoot Smart never disappoints. Every time we visit, the range is spotless, well-maintained, and run with professionalism. The staff is always courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell they take safety seriously. Aside from my husband keeping me protected, I always feel secure knowing the entire staff is licensed to carry and they openly carry on-site. It adds an extra layer of confidence, especially for someone like me who's still getting used to firearms. The private suites are hands down my favorite part. I'm still adjusting to the sound of gunfire, so having that quieter, more controlled space makes all the difference. Whether you're a beginner or experienced shooter, Shoot Smart makes you feel welcome and supported. Their prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other ranges we've tried, and they even send a free birthday gift every year that covers your primary lane or a suite rental. It's the little things like that that keep us coming back. If you're looking for a clean, safe, and friendly environment to shoot, I definitely recommend Shoot Smart.

Overpriced, shoddy work at best -- Check prices elsewhere before buying here!!…read more I had a terrible experience at Elliott Gun Co. and won't be returning. I was sold a set of sights for $150, only to find out later they retail for $90. I was told installation would be free, but instead of using a proper sight pusher, Elliott used a hammer and punch, leaving visible scratches on the sights. When he handed the gun back, I immediately noticed the front sight looked crooked. Elliott insisted they were "dead straight" and told me that if I thought they were off, I should go to the range and bring him a grouping. When I asked how he could claim they were centered without using the right tools, he said his "eyes are dialed in" from years of experience. I took the firearm to another gunsmith for a second opinion -- and he confirmed right away that the front sight was crooked and the rear sight wasn't centered either. Between the markup, the poor installation, the scratches, and the dismissive attitude when I raised concerns, this was a complete waste of time and money. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for sight work or anything requiring precision.

Range targets have a bunch of pre-programmed scenarios (i.e. shoot/no shoot drills, reload drills, charging drills, increasing distance drill) or if you can create your own. We had to submit our IDs and read the full T&C in order be eligible to get in the range. They didn't rent googles and ear muffs, but they sold them for decent price. Ear muffs were $15, and goggles were only $5. After the registration process, then we moved to the gun rental area where a staff member showed us different pistols and riffles. He was very knowledgeable about different types of guns and ammo. He also gave us a detailed brief on how to hold and reload the guns. After all the paperwork and crash courses, finally we went able to walk to the range. It was indoor and super loud due so nearby parties using big guns like shotgun and snipers. But overall it was easy to control the poster hanger and shoot from the window. We had an hour to use all the ammo. Once our time was up, we took the items back to rental area. We got our IDs back once the return was complete. Then we when to the registration counter to pay our dues. We were group of 5 friends and the kind staff member allowed all of us to split the bill and pay equal amount. It came to $45 per person for 2 guns (rental), 70 bullets and goggles. It was very reasonable price in my opinion. Overall a solid gun range but got some room to improve.

The "NFA guy" told me I was all set and everything was submitted. Only problem was I never got an email notification from the AFT say my paperwork was submitted. The "NFA guy" told me I was all good and it takes a few days with their system. He told me I should get approval in about 2 weeks. Fast forward about 6 weeks (45 days), still no email or update. So I can their 15th street store where I submitted the paper work. They dismissed me and told me to talk to "Grant" from another store (their plano gun range). I frequent the gun range and have always had good experiences. I get Grant on the phone who informed me that the 15th street store never submitted my paper work and I was waiting for nothing. Grant submitted my paperwork on the spot and I got an immediate ATF notification of the submitted paperwork (a very different experience than the 15th street store's "NFA guy's" statement). less than 6 days go by and i got my approval. I go in to pick up my Can and the "NFA guy" is there. he immediately blamed Grant for the who hang up and said sometimes it happens. Never offered an apology or took responsibility. For the record, this in not my first can (my 5th) and I have a decent idea of how this works. Based on my experience with the 15th street store. I will definitely not being going back to them for cans. Also this is not a knock on their range or Grant. They have always been great and have helped me. This is my bad/first experience ive had with the 15th street store and will not be doing business with them again regarding cans or anything that is not already on hand at the store. Additionally, I enjoy the range and got there often. I have been going to the range for years since they opened. It should be noted Grant is not the "NFA guy" I was directed to when at the 15th Street store. Grant was the savior in this story and helped me get my can out of misterguns jail.

(Fort Worth Shotts St location) I shot here once or twice. They're expensive. I call it more of a…read more'gun boutique' than a gun range and that means you're paying top dollar for just about everything. More and more ranges are starting to head into this model and it's a sad thing. Remember the days of being able to go to the range and spend $7 for no time limit? Well, those days are over and it's places like this that made it that way. On the good side though, their range was clean and the target systems worked properly and their was ample air conditioning and the air scrubbers were working well, but the air system was loud. One of the ranges I went on was their 65yd rifle range to shoot my bolt action. It's a shame it wasn't 100yrds but it is an indoor range so can't really expect that distance indoors but it would be great if it was. Being disabled, I can't go to an outdoor range because I can't walk 100 yrds each way to hang my target so this was the best I could find with a target system. Mostly I use Defender Outdoors as an FFL transfer when I purchase firearm online. Last I was there I think FFL transfers were $35. They call you when it's ready to be picked up and there usually isn't a wait and if there is, it's not a long one. I usually call a head after I buy the firearm to tell them one is coming for me but I don't think they need that to be done. I just do it out of courtesy. The process is quicker than other places I've been to and they're not 'training' new employees while you're waiting for them to get your paper work done, which I've seen at other gun ranges that do FFL transfers. All the employees are polite and professional so you're paying for that high level of customer service and is one of the reasons they're expensive. My only complaint with this range is how expensive they really are as opposed to other places but you get a lot of bang for your buck, pun intentional.
