Okay, I am not going to say anything about the pastries here except you have to come see for yourself! I bought one of everything on the menu and I came o the determination, they are all great! Parking is valet, but you can also find structure and street parking nearby. The service is by younger servers who know what they are selling and treat you like family. Come check this place out! I promise, you will not be disappointed!
Le TAO has been on my bucket list for a while as it's gained popularity from social media. They use fresh Hokkaido milk and cream and are known for their Asian cake and soft serve. They are located in the Bravern across from HeyTea (don't forget to bring your parking ticket for validation at the cafe)! The cakes are beautifully displayed like artwork, but much smaller than I expected. Each cake is only 7" (for reference, a standard cake is 8" or 10") and the height of one layer. For $70 a cake (or $10 per slice), these cakes are priced like they're made from gold. My friend and I got a FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE ($9.99) and a SIGNATURE CAKE SET ($13.99) which includes one slice of cake plus latte of your choice; we got the MATCHA STRAWBERRY CAKE plus a ROSE LATTE. Note that the matcha strawberry and double chocolate fromage cakes are only available as whole cakes or sets and not slices (minus one star just for that). The FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE was rich, light, and tasted like fresh whipped cream (as the name suggests). It came with some dabs of strawberry syrup on the side, which my friend and I thought was definitely needed as the cake itself was relatively bland. At least it wasn't too sweet (I'd probably rate it as 25% sweetness). The MATCHA STRAWBERRY SLICE was better as it had very strong matcha concentration with a hint of strawberry. It also came with strawberry syrup, but unlike the Fromage, it wasn't necessary. With that said, this cake slice was half the size of the Fromage slice, measuring maybe 2x3 inches maximum or the length of half a finger. It was ridiculously small (like petit four size) for $13.99, even if it came with a latte. The ROSE LATTE was alright. You could taste the rose syrup and the coffee and milk were smooth, but nothing to write home about. The interior is meant to look like a fancy designer store with modern furnishings and lighting (which to be fair, it is located in the Bravern among the designer shops). They have about 8 tables indoors (honestly pretty tight together) or you can take your dessert to go. Service was decent and a waiter brought our food to the table within 10 minutes. TLDR: cake are overpriced for the small portions and their signature cake isn't that tasty. Maybe I'll come back and try the Mont Blanc with Hokkaido soft serve, but $13.99 for half a cup of ice cream is stretching it. Overall: 2.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 3.5/5 for interior
The mont blanc soft serve is really good. Though it doesn't fully capture the Hokkaido milk flavor, it's probably the best option here. They also sell chocolate, cookies and cake here which you can also pair with your ice cream or eat by themselves. I do like the chocolate. The store layout is kind of strange though and doesn't seem cohesive. There's a bar corner with not a lot of space to walk through, and the other tables and chairs are on an elevated platform. In general, there's usually more patrons than seating but luckily, there's a small amount of seating in the outdoor courtyard.
Super cute spot for desserts hidden in the bravern. The only downside is that you can only buy slices in shop otherwise you must buy a whole cake. The customer service is stellar and their cakes and snacks are so tasty and well flavored. They come straight from Japan and cakes are frozen so require some planning/ thawing prior to eating, Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or on a date (or just to treat yourself)
I visited LeTAO after going to the Dolar Shop nearby. I liked the presentation of the cakes - my friends and I ordered a slice each and enjoyed the treats at the store. The cheesecake looked small but turns out it was just enough. I'm not an obsessive fan of cheesecake so I didn't love it, but it made a nice dessert and a nice place for us to hang out. Service was attentive and the server explained how the ordering worked to us in a kind manner.
I stopped by on a Sunday evening to try their cakes. I ordered their trio seasonal cake set, which consisted of the Yuki Matcha Ichigo, Berry Rose, and Sylvie. The seating area was pretty full, so I initially sat on the stools near the back entrance. The stools were wobbly and not sturdy at all. I immediately moved to a chair and table once one opened up, which was much more comfortable. It took almost 15 minutes after ordering to receive the slices. They were presented nicely, but the taste wasn't very memorable.
Got the cheesecake, peach tea, and hazelnut ice cream. It was all delicious and not too sweet. Service was fast and the ambiance is cute and fancy at the same time. My main gripe is that I felt it was too overpriced for what you are paying for
This store is impeccably clean and well maintained, which creates a great first impression when you walk in. I tried the Mango Hokkaido milk ice cream along with the fromage cheesecake, and both were definitely tasty. The flavors are authentic and the texture of the cheesecake is as smooth as expected. However, the overall experience felt subpar for a few reasons. The pricing is quite high, and while the food is good, it does not feel like the quality fully justifies the cost. Additionally, the staff members were a bit rude and did not provide a welcoming atmosphere. While the treats are enjoyable, the combination of high prices and lackluster service makes it hard to give a higher rating.
Huge fan of basically anything Japanese. Their philosophy of things is unparalleled, in life, in car making, electronics making, food making, anything. Much of that process, philosophy comes from China - Confucius, Buddhism and they improved up on it incorporating not only into mindset, but technology - "Kaizen." Their Fromage Double, bestseller cake is delicious. Not sweet, airy, decadent. Not cheap neither, haha. Worth it, yes, when you wanna treat yourself for sure. Latte was mid, tasted almost more like an Americano, but really appreciated the beautiful glass it came in. Parking validation is included. Can't wait for another Fromageeeee :)
Another family member's plans to visit LeTAO was cancelled. I happen to be in Bellevue and decided to make this my third stop before heading back across the lake (3/20/26). Got to make use of that round trip 520 toll! My gps brought me to the valet circle at The Bravern. I took my chances, parked off to the side, and threw my blinkers on. I headed into the sleek dessert boutique to seek out a slice of the Fromage Double. I had to patiently wait for two other customers to be served. This gave me an opportunity to look around. I realized that the unshielded dessert displays were not real, but replicates to consider. I wished there were some samples available. If there were, I clearly missed out. Finally, it was my turn to place my order. The counter staff person only would sell me a whole cake (totally out of my budget). I only wanted a slice, plus I was having visions of my car being ticketed and/or towed. She continued on that for a single slice this would have to be served and consumed in the dining area. At this point, I told her that this was my first visit and drove all the way from Shoreline on behalf of a family member, thanked her for her time, said no thanks and was ready to leave. At this point, she acquiesced to allow the one slice. She went into the back kitchen area with a box. I declined a bag, paid, and raced back to my car with my prized purchase. Pro tips: I recommend to first open their website and look at their detailed menus to learn what items are available ahead of time. I posted screenshots from their website. Understand that these desserts are flown in from Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan. It is their preference to serve them under optimal conditions and presentation, hence the suggestion to dine onsite versus takeout. Unless you specifically want valet parking, do not leave your car there. Unnecessary stress plus expensive if one was ticketed and towed. Cheaper than airfare to/from Hokkaido, but still. Stupid move. Use the public parking at The Bravern, LeTAO is located on the first floor. I also posted a screenshot from The Bravern website about parking. Definitely, this is an elevated dessert experience using French and Japanese techniques. Lighter, subtle, smaller, and not overly sweet. Despite the annoyance at the time, this was a worthy endeavor. If there's ever a repeat visit, it will be under calmer conditions and savor the plated dessert(s) and beverage(s) onsite.
Well this was very interesting, I wanted to try the cheesecake with my youngest who absolutely loves Japanese style cheesecakes and these guys know what they're doing. BUT They had no cheesecakes, no you don't understand they had nothing the only thing they had was their mini cheesecakes which you could only get with the sundae or the flight (and that was entirely their fruit flavored ones) Guys I was shook, they fly their cheesecakes in so we had gotten there 2 days before the next shipment. Now look I'm not docking points because a) The guys there were trying so hard to keep people happy in an impossible position. b) On their menu (online) it said a lot of things were sold out, I had just assumed that they meant their whole cakes, not that their café was no longer functioning lol, my bad So now you know. They are still amazing BUT check that menu before going
Worth checking out and the cakes are amazing, but be aware that this place is $$$. We got the trio cake sampler ($35), and were shocked by how small each cake slice was. (~4 in diameter?) Our favorite was the mango cake
It was our first time here. Inside was clean and all of the desserts were nicely displayed which made it easy to browse and choose what to try. We ordered the trio cake selection the desserts were pretty and well presented, but not memorable in flavor lolll. After reading other reviews, we learned that the cakes are imported from Otaru Japan, which helps explain the pricing. We'd still love to come back and try more items from the menu!
Was so so looking forward to this store since my first experience was in Otaru, Japan. This little sweet little town. I have always been passionate about chestnut items so heard about their table side Mont Blanc. Was really quite sad when they said it wasn't available. I ended up ordering the Mont Blanc soft serve (12.99) quite steep for the portion size. It was adequate. Ordering was also quite confusing. The table has a QRS code for ordering but you can't order the soft serve with the table menu, But when I went to order the soft serve at the countertop, I wasn't able to order the individual slides of frontage double (have to order it at the table).... I ended up having to order at the counter and at the table to get both piece of cake and the chestnut soft serve. Service was also adequate. Feeling like they are still working on training the staff. Had Pure Ceylon soursop green tea hot and peach Hokkaido milk tea cold. Both were quite good. They served the milk tea in a paper cup despite the fact we are having it at the cafe. The hot green tea was in a porcelain cup.. May come back for the table side Mont Blanc.. but also heard it was $25 and it wasn't on the menu. Might just need to commit to go back to Otaru, Sapporo :). Hope this place will improve. Looking forward for them to bring their original tea to Bellevue. read more

Japanese Hokkaido cheesecake has arrived to the Bravern! With multiple locations around the globe, LeTAO has recently opened their first US location in Bellevue, WA. We swung by to check it out, and had the: - Strawberry Hokkaido Milk Tea - Lychee & Rose Sparkling Water - Fromage Double Slice - Belle Neige Slice Set with Iced Ceylon Tea When you arrive to the shop, the ordering and dine-in process is a bit unclear. A few things to note if you're visiting for the first time: - Single slices are only available for in-store dining, so be sure to hop onto the waitlist right when you get there - There are two kiosks in the store - the one closest to the main door is for to-go orders only, while the waitlist kiosk is towards the back of the store (near the seating) - I recommend going with a small party (2 people max) as our group of four waited about 45 mins to be seated - Lastly, be sure to pick up your parking validation for the Bravern at the register before you leave Overall, the cheesecake taste and texture were great, but as visitors tend to sit and relax in a cafe environment, the wait to dine-in is a bit long. I think moving forward, we'll just grab full size cakes and drinks to-go! read more

The desserts here were delicious! My favorite was the soft serve sundae. We got a mix of the Hokkaido Milk and Fromage soft serve, with the chocolat double cake and Otaru Rue Ironai Fromage Milk cookie. I want to get this again next time I go! I definitely want to get their cakes again next time as well. Additionally, the interior was so pretty and is the perfect place to sit down with friends, co-workers, study, etc. The environment was quiet when my friends and I went. The service was quick, and the area was very clean. I enjoyed the aesthetic of Cafe LeTAO and will be visiting sometime soon again. read more
There is no line, so let's try this. I love their cheese cookie every time we swing by Narita airport in Japan. Entrance: 2 ways you can enter from the front and back by Heytea Location: Bravern Parking: plenty free parking in parking garage, and validate in any store. If you plan to sit down and eat, go to the table seating area and order using the qr code on the table. We ordered: Signature Mont Blanc Uji matcha latte Peach apricot ceylon tea Sundae Neige blanc Pretty pricy. It taste very good though. Was it worth the price? Once in a while maybe. I like it because it's not too sweet and smooth. Overall ok. Service great. They serve the food and drink with pretty china plate setting. read more

Nice fancy specialty dessert/cake shop with a welcoming ambiance. Walked into LeTao while waiting for Dolar Shop. Got an iced Americano and a Mini Venezia to enjoy an hour of relaxation time. I really enjoyed the Mini Venezia. It reminded me of egg tart but with a more solid crust and a thicker creme brûlée filling. I especially liked its cool temperature - it provided a nice consistency that enhanced its flavor profile. Sip that with an Americano and boom - great complement. While the other cake items here are very expensive, this was reasonable and for around $15 including tip. Service was very friendly and relaxing. Very nice workers here. Seating is open bright and casual. You order at the counter and find a nice comfy seat. It's nice and quiet inside. The setting is made to feel special and fancy - marble-themed tables, golden (plastic) forks, faux flowers, modern designs, beautiful lighting. It's really pleasant. Food comes very fancy packaged. You get a nice takeout paper bag and box for your dessert. I do wish they used less packaging to reduce trash. Parking is in the Bravern Towers Parking Lot and they validate parking. I give it a high rating. It's expensive so know what you're going for - this isn't a nice cute little mom pop cafe. It's an upscale Japanese cheesecake shop. And for that - I like it. LeTAO is open in the United States, specifically, in Bellevue, Washington! Its first U.S. location opened in The Bravern, right next to The Dolar Shop and a soon-to-open boba shop. My colleague and I walked by, on our way to coffee, and as soon as we saw it was open, we made a detour to LeTAO. LeTAO is known for their Hokkaido cheesecakes. At this time, you cannot get slices to go, but can try if you dine-in. You can also get an entire cheesecake to-go frozen or fresh, which is neatly packaged. Just like a restaurant, you must join the waitlist to be seated to dine-in. The seating area is limited, but looks comfortable and inviting. Since my colleague and I had to get back to work, we tried their drinks and soft serve, and ended up getting cheesecake for an event the following day. I had the strawberry sparkling water, which was solid, with sparkling water and strawberries. It wasn't sweet, just naturally from the strawberries, which I really liked. Nothing artificial. For the soft serve, I had the Hokkaido cream and cheese swirl, which was solid. It was creamy and had a good balance of cream and cheese. For our work event the next day, we had the chocolate cheesecake, which was good! It was a hit among colleagues and would recommend for anyone who loves chocolate. So glad LeTAO has opened in Bellevue and walking distance to the office and home! This may be dangerous, but hey, let them eat (cheese)cake! Low key so confused when I walked in. They let you try everything which is great! $16 for a little cup of milk (crying). I got the ice cream, cake, and cookie to try everything. I was even confused what they were selling. So much going on. Did not understand any of the items, ended up just ordered blindly. Overall, I will not be going back. The ice cream tasted like literal milk they just froze, the cake tasted previously frozen and then thawed and served, the cookie was bland and honestly interesting. Did not taste how I thought it would and ended up throwing it away. Nothing I tried made me want to go back. Sorry:( the place is cool but not worth the items they sell. Plus the marble looked cheap. read more

The few things we got at LeTAO were great--the apple pie, strawberry hokkaido milk, and their fromage cookies. We preferred the fromage milk cookies to the fromage which are a little stronger cheese flavor and tangy. The strawberry milk tea is mild and creamy and not too sweet--we liked it! The apple pie was flaky and buttery. All in all a nice stop for some sweet treats. read more

Overall Rating: 4.5/10 Highlights - Wrong order - Stolen order experience - Samples? - A bit expensive for what you receive in terms of taste/quality and serving size - Little parking LeTao wasn't too busy around ~2-3 pm on a Sunday. There wasn't a line for ordering. Me and my friends were hoping to order cake slices to-go, but that's the only thing in the menu that was dine-in only. I ended up ordering 1 sundae, and both of my friends each ordered an iced drink. I got the sundae right after I ordered. One friend got her tea drink quickly, but received a hot version instead. The staff took the drink back and poured the hot drink with some ice into a new cup. After 10 minutes of waiting, my other friend asked to double-check if the last (matcha) drink was still being made, and it turns out someone took her order. The staff offered to remake the order, which it took ~5 minutes. This wasn't the first time someone had stolen an order. Just after I ordered, I heard a man talking to the staff about his order, which also was missing. When my friend was waiting for her drink, I think I saw someone walkout with a similar looking drink, but I thought nothing of it (because I wasn't sure if they had ordered the same thing). I suspect that one person might have been taking orders, but the staff hadn't noticed. Honestly, it was a bit annoying that someone took her order, but it's not entirely the staff's fault. However, for future customers, I really hope they verify orders by checking if the person taking the order has their order receipt. Also, as we were leaving, we saw some customers getting cake (and soft serve?) samples. I wasn't sure if they had asked, but we weren't offered any samples when we first arrived (and there wasn't anyone else in line then). I bought the cake last-minute as a surprise for my boyfriend while waiting for our food at Dolar Shop (which is in the same building), and the staff were super quick and helpful. The cheesecake is amazing, and although it's pricey I'd say it's worth it for special occasions. The soft serve is also quite good (a little pricey, but also worth it), and I'd recommend it for any ordinary day. read more

LeTao's cheesecakes are a solid 5/5 for me typically; the light cheesiness of their cakes are unmatched imo. But occasionally, their quality falters and I question if I had the right cake. Like this evening when I dined in with some friends. The usual double chocolate looked off: the chocolate cheesecake layer was thinner and denser and the chocolate dusting barely dusted the slice we got. Our soft serve arrived melting. Would have been thoroughly disappointed if not for the very good roll cake. Idk might be better sticking to purchasing the regular whole cakes than dining in. read more

LeTAO is an aesthetic cafe that offers Japanese desserts, including their signature cheesecake and soft serve ice cream. Their signature cake was not available at the time of our visit so we ordered a chocolate double cheesecake instead and also a montblanc. The montblanc is quite expensive but at least it came with a little bit of a show, where the server finishes the plating in front of you with the hazelnut strain, chopped hazelnut topping and powdered sugar spread... oh they even place a gold sign at on top! Overall, staff are friendly. The place has limited seating and you are unable to order per slice to go, only the whole cake. Great to experience at least once! read more

Not a fan of the particularities with this place. Whole cakes are pretty expensive itself and slices are not available to-go. It wouldn't bother me as much if there were more options available for dine in since I prefer fruity flavors. But alas, we could only choose between fromage and double chocolate at the time. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't make up for the portion size and price. read more

The cheesecake is best enjoyed when it's been thawed for a few hours. If you are like me you started eating the cheesecake when you opened the package and ate it still frozen. At this point the cheesecake tastes like a regular ice cream cake. Which I enjoyed but for the price it didn't seem to meet expectations. Then after I let the cheesecake thaw for a few hours and I had some more that's when I loved it! The cream melts in your mouth, it's so smooth, balanced, not too sweet. At this point I was in love with the cheesecake and I ended up eating the entire thing by myself. What I thought was cool is that when you walk into the shop they have on display at the counter all the cakes and options so you can see exactly what you will get, the size, and the prices. One thing I will say is that service was very slow so if you plan to go maybe just bring your patience. They just opened a few days ago so they are probably still learning. read more

Oh my bougie Bellevue Here's how to navigate the EXPERIENCE that is LeTao. - Parking is available in the garage with 4 hours free. Yay. - Upon entry, bypass the baked goods on display ($70 for a single small cake?!$&?!/&) but DO indulge in a sample - Locate the stairs that lead you to a raised seating area and scan the QR code like the BOSS that you are and wait for your order to arrive. While waiting, bask in the ambiance that surrounds you as you join the throng of the INDULGENT who are waiting for single scoops of ice cream served on LeTao engraved China! Yes indeed, you have ARRIVED. Of course we had to order the internet famous SIGNATURE MONT BLANC ($23.99) And the SOFT SERVE HOKKAIDO MILK FROMAGE MIX (chose the Chocolate Double Fromage and Otaru Rue Ironai Fromage Milk) $13.99 When you're seated at the table, the server will bring your deserts served on a little tea cart and proceed to dazzle with a tableside demo of water chestnut vermicelli magic if you order the Mont Blanc. Honestly, it's all very pretty and "elevated" and definitely not your typical ice cream joint! Nothing casual about the flavor or there. With all of the hype, the "pomp and circumstance" production, I really had high expectations. After all, it's a collaboration between two iconic giants - Japan and France - with all of their high standards and emphasis on QUALITY wrapped up in this rather precocious space. I wanted to like it. I wanted to convince myself that (essentially) a scoop of ice cream topped with swirly, albeit oddly entrancing, noodle like water chestnut toppings was worth the price. And the tiny, doll-house-like sliver of cake and paper thin cookie served with soft serve ice cream was going to change my perspective, somehow convincing me that it was MORE than soft serve ice cream? And other than it being creamy and kinda cheesy, it didn't TRANSCEND my experience. The space is pretty. The service is a nice touch. Visually, it's stunning. I saw a lot of hype about LeTAO so I went to try it out and it was okay. The building looks cold, uninviting, and sterile. I would that it's nice to see all the products out on the counter and it reminds me of an operating room tool tray. The employees are super nice though and probably the one of the best things about this place. We tried a few things but the soft serve, cheese cake, and cookie combo is probably the best item on the menu. I think everything is pretty overpriced for the quality and side. This is my second time here. The first time, I tried their sundae (because you get ice cream, cake, and cookies all in one). I'm not usually big on sweets, but the sweetness was just right. This time, I went for their new neige blanc, and as a cheese fan, I loved it! The mousse-like texture is soft, with a hint of honey that isn't too sweet. Paired with their sparkling water or tea, it's the perfect little afternoon treat to relax and unwind. read more

How's their service?
All the servers were lovely, you can order at the table or the counter and they'll bring your items to you. You can also get samples as soon as you walk in the door lol awesome set of people
Can I order a cake in advance or just walk in and buy a full cake?
Is reservation needed. We are planning to come on December 26 around noon?
No. It's walk in cafe style (not a reservation type of place).
