Stopped by for some dessert and was pleased at the quality and service! There is a parking structure in this mall plaza and you would pay hourly. However, LeTAO validates tickets so make sure to ask :) The service was exceptional! The two young gentlemen provided so many samples, gave great insight, and had such a positive attitude. The inside was very clean with a small amount of tables available. If you order dine-in, there is a separate menu where you can order a slice of their delicious cakes that came straight from Japan. I tried their fromage cheesecake slice and it was creamy and delicious. A light airy whipped cream and the base was a thicker consistency of cheesecake. I also tried their Hokkaido milk soft serve which tasted quite creamy as well and "not too sweet" :) Would def stop by if you're around Seattle!

Sampler of the day

This was a last minute dessert decision, so the place was comfortable and tables available. You order from your table with the QR code and can see what the still have available for the day. We did the 3 piece sampler and a chocolate tarte. The tart wasn't up to our expectations, very dried out and not the best flavor, but the 3 piece sampler was delicious. Especially the layered chocolate cake called Sylvia was amazing! We also loved the mandarin option and matcha cake. Pricing is certainly matching the mall, very high for what you get, those are not big slices. Parking is validated and very convenient downstairs, take the ruby or sapphire elevators.

Decided to do an ice cream hopping run for my birthday and LeTao was one of them. I got their cheese and milk swirl with their cake. For the cake, you can select whether you wanted chocolate or original. The shop offers cake testers, so I got to try their chocolate flavor, which is why I picked the original cake for my ice cream. The chocolate cake was definitely better and probably would have cut the sweetness a bit more. The cheesecake has 2 textures but the flavor is similar. The ice cream was pretty creamy, but a bit less creamy than Indigo Cow. It was quite expensive though, I think the cake sundae was like more than $10. Would come back, though, if I was in the area but would not specifically come here for it again.

Very unique cafe! Came in on a Saturday afternoon excited to try the Rose Latte. The storefront itself isn't the most spacious, but there is seating behind the counter. Very aesthetic and I loved the cake sampling! I got the Rose Latte. It was perfectly semi-sweet with a strong rose flavor at the bottom. A beautiful and delicious drink. I also got to try a bit of a friend's strawberry matcha cake. It was a chewy mochi on the outside and soft crème on the inside - a cool concept! The service was speedy and very helpful when deciding between drinks. Would definitely recommend trying if you are in Bellevue!

Fromage sundae

two words: fromage sundae!! One of my favorite places to get a cheese ice cream sundae. The Hokkaido milk is SO good too -- if the fromage is a bit too much, getting the mix is a great balance of both. The ordering experience is super easy and straight forward. The place is pretty relaxed and easy to order from. You can also try cheesecake samples.

After dinner we decided to grab some dessert and after a few places were thrown out, we ended up a LeTAO. [From the web] "LeTAO in Bellevue is the famous Japanese bakery's first U.S. flagship boutique. Located in The Shops at The Bravern, this upscale cafe brings the delicate, creamy flavors of Hokkaido, Japan, to Washington with a bright, minimalist, and aesthetic interior." I agree as I found it to be modern, elegant, and beautifully minimalist with an all-white tile and wall design. The mix of chairs and booths makes it easy to lounge, while the calm atmosphere invites you to unwind and stay awhile. Note: There is only one unisex restroom. The service was courteous, helpful, and polite. Sundae - choice of flavors of their soft serve between Hokkaido Milk, Frommage, or mix. Choice of double cake flavors of double frommage or chocolate frommage. Choice of cookie from Otaru Rue Ironai, or Thenior. Support your local business.

Good pastries in an upscale cafe. The flavors are very unique and all the desserts tasked good. Only some of the pastries are available by slice, we tried the trio which had matcha strawberry, chocolate and another strawberry pastry in it. All 3 tasted good and not super sweet at all. Coffee was good as well.

Mango Hokkaido milk tea

LeTAO feels a bit overpriced for the overall quality of its food and drinks. Their Mango Hokkaido Milk Tea is definitely delicious, but it's extremely sweet. I can never finish the whole drink because after a few sips, it becomes a bit too sugary for my taste. The desserts were a mixed experience. I really liked the Jersey Milk Roll, although it felt quite expensive for its size. I also tried the Trio Cake, out of the three flavors, the strawberry was my favorite, while the matcha and chocolate were just okay. The seating area was another disappointment. The seat cushions looked dirty with marks on it, which doesn't match the premium prices they're charging. If I'm paying that much, I'd expect a cleaner, better-maintained space and a more elevated café experience overall. Overall, I'd say LeTAO is worth trying once, especially for its signature milk tea and desserts, but it's not a place I'd find myself returning to often.

Le TAO has been on my bucket list for a while as it's gained popularity from social media. They use fresh Hokkaido milk and cream and are known for their Asian cake and soft serve. They are located in the Bravern across from HeyTea (don't forget to bring your parking ticket for validation at the cafe)! The cakes are beautifully displayed like artwork, but much smaller than I expected. Each cake is only 7" (for reference, a standard cake is 8" or 10") and the height of one layer. For $70 a cake (or $10 per slice), these cakes are priced like they're made from gold. My friend and I got a FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE ($9.99) and a SIGNATURE CAKE SET ($13.99) which includes one slice of cake plus latte of your choice; we got the MATCHA STRAWBERRY CAKE plus a ROSE LATTE. Note that the matcha strawberry and double chocolate fromage cakes are only available as whole cakes or sets and not slices (minus one star just for that). The FROMAGE DOUBLE SLICE was rich, light, and tasted like fresh whipped cream (as the name suggests). It came with some dabs of strawberry syrup on the side, which my friend and I thought was definitely needed as the cake itself was relatively bland. At least it wasn't too sweet (I'd probably rate it as 25% sweetness). The MATCHA STRAWBERRY SLICE was better as it had very strong matcha concentration with a hint of strawberry. It also came with strawberry syrup, but unlike the Fromage, it wasn't necessary. With that said, this cake slice was half the size of the Fromage slice, measuring maybe 2x3 inches maximum or the length of half a finger. It was ridiculously small (like petit four size) for $13.99, even if it came with a latte. The ROSE LATTE was alright. You could taste the rose syrup and the coffee and milk were smooth, but nothing to write home about. The interior is meant to look like a fancy designer store with modern furnishings and lighting (which to be fair, it is located in the Bravern among the designer shops). They have about 8 tables indoors (honestly pretty tight together) or you can take your dessert to go. Service was decent and a waiter brought our food to the table within 10 minutes. TLDR: cake are overpriced for the small portions and their signature cake isn't that tasty. Maybe I'll come back and try the Mont Blanc with Hokkaido soft serve, but $13.99 for half a cup of ice cream is stretching it. Overall: 2.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 3.5/5 for interior

Royal P.

The mont blanc soft serve is really good. Though it doesn't fully capture the Hokkaido milk flavor, it's probably the best option here. They also sell chocolate, cookies and cake here which you can also pair with your ice cream or eat by themselves. I do like the chocolate. The store layout is kind of strange though and doesn't seem cohesive. There's a bar corner with not a lot of space to walk through, and the other tables and chairs are on an elevated platform. In general, there's usually more patrons than seating but luckily, there's a small amount of seating in the outdoor courtyard.

Beatrice H.

Super cute spot for desserts hidden in the bravern. The only downside is that you can only buy slices in shop otherwise you must buy a whole cake. The customer service is stellar and their cakes and snacks are so tasty and well flavored. They come straight from Japan and cakes are frozen so require some planning/ thawing prior to eating, Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or on a date (or just to treat yourself)

Josh K.

I really like the atmosphere of this spot but maybe I'm just not a big cake person because the sampler wasn't my favorite. It was chocolate, strawberry shortcake, and strawberry matcha.

Nice glass. Appreciated.

Huge fan of basically anything Japanese. Their philosophy of things is unparalleled, in life, in car making, electronics making, food making, anything. Much of that process, philosophy comes from China - Confucius, Buddhism and they improved up on it incorporating not only into mindset, but technology - "Kaizen." Their Fromage Double, bestseller cake is delicious. Not sweet, airy, decadent. Not cheap neither, haha. Worth it, yes, when you wanna treat yourself for sure. Latte was mid, tasted almost more like an Americano, but really appreciated the beautiful glass it came in. Parking validation is included. Can't wait for another Fromageeeee :)

How's their service?

All the servers were lovely, you can order at the table or the counter and they'll bring your items to you. You can also get samples as soon as you walk in the door lol awesome set of people

Can I order a cake in advance or just walk in and buy a full cake?

Is reservation needed. We are planning to come on December 26 around noon?

No. It's walk in cafe style (not a reservation type of place).

I am so glad that I have tried out T4!!…read more I was having my haircut nearby and wanted to order something online so that I could just pick up as soon as my haircut was done. I read the reviews saying that the service was slow, so I did not go until a few minutes before the promised time. Nobody was waiting. As soon as I arrived, the staff brought out my order with a smile and told me that the order had been ready for a while and that they were worried that the food would be too cold if I had come late. There's no slow service for me. The food was well packaged. I ordered pop corn chicken, fried bun with condensed milk, and earl grey milk tea. All tasted great. The fried buns with condensed milk was a bit interesting and different from those sold in other places. When I opened the box, I didn't see condensed milk. Normally, in other place, you will get a small container of condensed milk as dipping sauce. I didn't see that. My first reaction was, "Ugh! I might need to go back to ask for it." However, when I looked carefully, I realized that the buns were slightly coated with condensed milk. I tried a bite and it was good. To my surprised, the buns were still crispy even with coated condensed milk. Also, the amount of coating was just perfect for the sweetness. I didn't eat in the store, so I really couldn't comment. However, based on what I saw on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all. There were a few customers sitting there. Nobody was waiting. The store looked clean and well organized. The staff was super friendly. I would love to come again!

I'd heard a lot about this singular item; how it became a Seattle iconic bakery pickup dish and the people who rave about it. Due to it closing somewhat early, I'd never been able to make it out there though, until now. And there was no question about what I was getting. As someone unhealthily (literally) obsessed with cheesecakes, this is right up my alley. This is unlike any cheesecake I've had. The first thing you feel is the immediate richness - characteristic of the very best. I want to feel like I'm consuming something that's going to shorten my life when I eat a cheesecake. This absolutely delivers on that promise; it's got a mouthfeel that lingers and makes you feel its presence even after the last bite is gone. The tiny-bit sour, heavily deep and cheesy flavor is complemented by a texture that's supremely soft. The crust is also great - while not as hard as other crusts I've had, this is unique as its made with coconut butter biscuit. What makes this one unique is the same thing that makes it purple. Its ube flavor combines so well with the normal cheesecake flavor that I can't believe I haven't had this combination before. The slightly-sweet, vanilla-forward, coconut-hinting, earthy nature of the yam balances out the cheese perfectly. The only thing practically missing is a touch of salt for something truly awesome. The only downside here is the price is 9 bucks. That is a lot for a cheesecake piece that's pretty small - roughly 150g. Overall, this absolutely ranks up there with some of the best cheesecakes I've had. 9.75/10
