The hubs and I stepped in the Leslie's Pool Supplies, In Vacaville, CA, on 3/19/22. He was looking for a particular product. We did not see it on the shelf, so he asked the associate. The young man working the shop was fantastic. I forget his name. I noticed his pleasant and helpful demeanor. Great attitude. As customers asked him the more technical pool questions( the stuff you would ask a pool tech), he advised that he was still learning and did not know the answer. He told them that he can call them after he asks the manager. He seemed to readily provide recommendations and was knowledgeable about inventory. He advised us that the product we were looking for was not sold in the store but is available online. Great customer service! The shop was clean. I bought a Polaris pool sweep from this store 5 years ago. It was in need of a tune up so I took it in to have it looked at. I was told that they are backed up and it would be 3 to 4 weeks before they could get to it. Reluctantly, I said okay. After 4 weeks I called to check on the status. I was told that they were running behind but call back in a couple of days. I called back after not hearing anything at the 5 week mark. Michael answered and said I was 4th in line and they should get to it in one or two days. After not hearing anything for another week, I called back and Michael answered again. He said I was 3rd in line. What?! You've looked at one pool sweep in a week? He said we look at them by model type. That's after he told me last week that they look at them in the order they come in. I then contacted corporate and was told a district manager would contact me in one or two business days. After another week of not hearing anything, I sent an email to corporate expressing my displeasure. I then got a call from Michael and he said he was looking at my pool sweep and he couldn't see anything visibly wrong with it. He said he could probably start replacing parts but it would probably be better to buy a new one for $1200. It was obvious that he wanted nothing to do with servicing my pool sweep after over 7 weeks! I told him I would come and pick it up. I then called Demaray Pool Supply and talked to a very nice, and knowledgeable guy named Hollis. He said he thought he knew what my pool sweep needed and they could look at it immediately. I picked up the sweep from Leslie's and took it straight to Demaray. Hollis said he would look at it and call me with an estimate. Before I could get home he called and said it needed a tune up kit and it would be $400 and it should be ready by tomorrow. I said okay and an hour and a half later he called and said it was ready! Seven and a half weeks at Leslie's with nothing done and less than 2 hours at Demaray and I have a pool sweep that works like new! My pool is sparkling clean again. I have been a customer of Leslie's since they opened here and needless to say, I will never spend another dime there or on their website. read more

I typically go to Leslie's in Vacaville because it's so close to my house, but recently I've had to wait about 30 minutes or more for a simple purchase of chlorine. And every time they only have 1 employee working the whole store alone. One time I asked the employee why there aren't more people and he told me the manager doesn't want to hire more hands. I would like to give the store a two rating. Even though the store was open, no one answered the phone. After calling several times over a several hour period, I contacted another store and asked if the Vacaville store was open. They said yes and try calling them back and they should answer or I can drive to the store. Still no answer so I contacted the 800 number and they indicated that we should receive a response in 48-72 hours. This is not the type of customer service I would want to be known for. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I came in on MLK (Monday) day. My pool vacuum stopped working. 2 days later they called me and said they fixed the problem. I felt a little guilty. They didn't charge me one cent! Michael's customer service was exceptional! He took me through what had been done. I also had a pool heater question. Michael was very knowledgeable. They sell over-priced chemicals first and foremost. They do not offer Or sell solutions. I have brought my 26,500 new pool's water down for computerized testing weekly. Any reasonable person would think after a few trials and the automatic chlorinator, the pool's chemical balance would eventually balance. Nope. Every week, I need something new or more of this and more of that. You can't walk in without spending another $100+ every single time. Despite my best efforts and my pool water scoring 80-90% most of the time, and their apparent belief I have an endless supply of patience and money, a month ago my pool broke out with Mustard algae. Another $300 in chemicals plus new filters at $130 per times 4 to get that out, I am looking at Mustard algae developing in my pool again. I've been sold a $1500 robot vacuum but I am still manually vacuuming once a week. I run my filter for 12 hours a day. I have followed their advice. No way my pool should be shut down again and needing another round of $300 in pool chemicals if their system worked. This is a new 26,500 gallon pool. Since January, our bill in this store for chemicals and including their recommended pool vacuum is right around $4000 with our second algae issue. Their chemicals are twice the cost of other products. They offer nothing in solutions, just more chemicals. I am done here. read more

Took pictures and a lot of info to Leslie's and told them we needed a new booster pump, they sold us on a new variable speed pump which would replace the booster and run the pool as well.. come installation day the tech arrived 2 hrs late (Friday) and only installed less than 1 ft of pvc piping along with the new pentair variable speed pump. Never showed us how to run the pump, complained about the heat outside when I spoke to him, and when we called the store to speak to Molly, because of the wrong installation done, he jetted and left... and also left his cardboard boxes on the street.. just a heads up you can buy liquid chlorine for way cheaper at Home Depot or Lowe's read more

After staying away from the store for a year we went back, not because we wanted to but because the $1,000 robotic sweeper died after a year. This the second sweeper we have purchased from Leslie's. We called Demaray Pool Supply to see if they work on Polaris Robotic Sweepers but they don't and this sweeper is still under manufacturer warranty. So off we went to "Less-lies". We opened the door to the store and my wife literally got one foot inside the door (her other foot was outside the door) and I was still outside the store carrying the sweeper. We both had our masks on too but the manager and employee were NOT wearing their masks (not even hand around their face or neck). We were approached by a store employee who said we couldn't drop our sweeper off. We explained we purchased the sweeper there and nobody else works on this brand in the area. The manager of the store came over and said he couldn't take the sweeper because he is months behind in the service department and we could not leave it to be repaired. I told the manager we purchased the sweeper from "Less-lies", it was under manufacture warranty and they needed to repair it since they sold us this $1,000 piece of equipment. He said they aren't taking any more equipment for repair. When I asked him where we could take it to get repaired he told us we would have to take it to the "Less-lies" in Fairfield or Davis. We left the store and the store in Davis. We explained what happened and they said that was strange. They said the store should have at least checked the equipment in and looked at it when they had time. We used to bring our pool water into "Less-lies" for testing and purchase our chemicals and pool supplies from them. We were spending several hundred dollars a year in just chemicals from them. Since we changed and went to Demaray Pool Supply we are no longer spending nearly as much on chemicals and we haven't had a problem with yellow algae either. We have called the corporate office reference what occurred in the store. We have also dropped the sweeper off in Davis. Fortunately Polaris provides a 2 year warranty so we are hopeful this machine can be repaired with no cost to us since it was purchased in May of 2019. I will update the review when we get the sweeper back. Meanwhile I would avoid the Vacaville Leslie's Pool Supply like the plague. Go to another store that was your busy and knows how to provide customer service and comply with the State's Covid rules. read more

I went to the store in Vacaville today to purchase a solar cover and some flotation devices for my pool, probably going to spend $200 to $300. At first when I showed up I saw a sign in the door from the parking lot that said "sorry we are out" I thought the sign man that they had stepped out for lunch or something like that. I waited for a little bit and then I noticed that someone was inside. So, I went inside and made a comment to a young man behind the register that the sign was misleading. He proceeded to tell me what the sign said. I told him that the sign says in big letters sorry we are out and then and small letters it says above ground pools. I asked for an apology after he talked down to me about the sign and the fact that the lights were on and people were in the store which again is not visible from the parking lot. He never offered an apology and would not look at me as I kept trying to get one out of him reminding him about Customerservice. I guess I'm on my way to Lowe's or some other big box store for my pool supplies. I wouldn't use their repair services. I filled out a support request and they contacted me to schedule an appointment. At the time I said I could send a picture so they could see what my problem was, a crack in a cover on my Jandy equipment that was squirting water when my pump was running. I was advised to take my pictures in to a store so they could see what the problem was and determine what part was needed. I went down to the store and they didn't know what to do. I called Leslie's service department to find out how I could email a picture. They refused to accept an email with a picture. I would have to pay for a service call to determine what the problem was and schedule a followup call to repair the problem. I stated that I didn't mind paying for a service call but would like to send a picture so that thy could see what the problem was before coming out. They stated "no" that they would not accept a picture and that I could cancel my appointment. I've wasted five days, my appointment isn't for another 6 days and they would have shown up and saw the same problem that is obvious in the picture, not have brought the part to fix the problem, more then likely had to order the part, scheduled another appointment and charged me for the service call. read more

Brought in my Polaris 965IQ that was still under warranty for no power to the power supply. The manager before even getting to the counter said they are too backed up and to take it to a different Leslie's location. I informed him that I purchased it at that location and did not feel that was good customer service that was he was offering to someone who was bringing in a product that they supply the warranty service for. He rolled his eyes and said that I could leave it but it would sit there for weeks until he could get to it. I asked him for his managers info and he refused giving it to me and said he would pass my information along. I have always felt the customer service at Leslie's lacked but this experience took it to another level. This is insane last year I had nothing but issues with my pool and this place over chlorinated my pool I had a pool company come out and test my water because for some reason it was super cloudy and had a strong chlorine smell my neighbors or even complaining, The pool company tested my water and said that there was so much chlorine because they had me shock my pool three times that I had to drain all The water out and wash the vinyl down. Now one of my tenants from a rental home of mine wants to drain the water because they said someone from this place said they need to drain the water and fill it up with fresh water every 3-5 years . I have been trying to call all day and find out what the heck they are talking about and nobody wants to answer the phone !!!!! Wish I'd read these reviews before I spent nearly $1400 on a Polaris P55 pool cleaner here. Bought the product 4/2/17 while in Vacaville. Clearly told the clerk and store manager that I lived on the East coast and wouldn't go home until May . Their response "no worries, we'll ship it to the store close to you and make sure it's waiting for you when you get there". Guess when I got my cleaned, YESTERDAY . May 31st !!!.....after getting home 2 weeks ago and paying $400 to open my pool and have it ready for a Memorial Day gathering! They ruined it. What's so disheartening is--the District managers have all seemed to be full of crap!! Each promising to check for a resolution and call you back....which never happened. To make matters worse, after I threatened to contact corporate, they promised me $250 in supply coupons. That was supposedly mailed nearly 2 weeks from the West coast and I have YET to receive what was promised to me last Friday (a week ago). Yet another promise broken. I had to take my Polaris 955 sweep in for repairs. In an ongoing set of issues and repairs lasting over 3 weeks due to need of multiple parts and a problem no one had seen before the folks at Leslie's Vacaville have been great. But I want to make a special mention of the regional manager Pierre Issa. Pierre was the first person I dealt with during this set of repairs and issues. He is dedicated to getting the issue fixed right and has gone so far as to come test my sweep at my home at the end of his work day when he could be on his way home because the test bench equipment couldn't find the problem and replication of the issue I was seeing outside the pool was not happening. Thanks Pierre for all your effort and time on this issue, you are model of excellent customer service! read more

We've been coming here for about 10 years, never had a complaint. There is an ad in mail talking about a service special that is $69 but when I called to make an appointment, you claim it was a typo and it should only be 20%. Well guess what buddy?
