I called this location a couple of minutes before they closed just to ask if an item was in stock. The guy who answered asked if I could hold and I agreed. 6 minutes passed and they didn't take me off hold so I called them back and they no longer answered. I used to come here with my mom decades ago and to this day she still comes to this location for all her pool needs. I recently bought an above ground pool and had no idea what I needed so I figured I'd come here. I got halfway there and decided to pull up YELP to see what their current review status was...ouch lol. So many horrible reviews! I told my son we might have to turn around and go to Lodi. But we decided to give this location a try. I walked in expecting nothing but attitude, however, I was promptly greeted by Alexis (only one other customer in the store). She was so sweet and tested my water and told me exactly what I needed and how to do it. The other kid in the store was also chiming in with his advice and what not. Both employees were kind, didn't rush me, let me ask all the questions I had and gave me advice. I will most definitely be back and hopefully these two are there!! read more

Customer service is awful. One would rely on their expert recommendation but their recommendation is based on wrong info. Worse they blame customer for the wrong info even though they are the ones typing on their computers. No wonder they are losing customer. Go to Lodi Leslie instead. As a new home buyer WITH a pool, I walked into Leslie's with no knowledge on really anything pool related. I just knew I had to bring in water from the pool to be tested. When I arrived to Leslie's, I was greeted by Ruth where I informed her I had no idea what I was doing or looking for. After doing a water test, Ruth recommended certain things to help get my pool into swimming shape. As well as recommendation, she informed me on what I need to do to keep my pool in the best shape. We were told to drain our entire 15,000 gallon pool because our levels were bad. We took another sample back the following week and they told us that the sample was even worse. Obviously the people at Leslie's don't know what they're talking about. We will not be returning. read more

Been her a few times now after my elderly mother had issues with a rude employee. Had the very same rude woman. After purchasing a few products and going back for more water tests with no improvement in fact it kept getting worse I was told there wasn't any sanitizer in the water yet half of that $30 bottle of bromine was in the hot tub so either your products are old or your test kit was faulty. Went to another store had the water tested and a 3rd. Both other stores said the sanitizer was fine but we needed calcium. Done paying rude people . read more

Yellow algae issue has been going on for weeks. Nicole at Leslie's was patient and helpful even on a Sunday. Cleaned our filter and added the chemicals at the appropriate intervals as instructed. My wife and I learned and followed directions. Within 24 hours plus a lot of work the pool looks great. Brought a water sample to Nicole on Monday and followed the final directions. No need for our professional pool service. read more

These guys are crooks. I dropped off my pool sweep and all it needed was a new belt for the front wheel. EVERYTHING else was working perfectly. The pool sweep was still cleaning my pool perfectly fine but wasn't turning right because the front wheel wasn't rotating. They were suppose to call me the next day...but no phone call. When I called to follow up, they told me the entire inside housing needed to be replaced for $240!!! I knew they were lying so I told them don't fix it. When I came to pick it up, my pool sweep was BROKEN! They broke the inside gears and it was making a scraping noice. It WASN'T making that noice when I dropped it off!!! When I told him it wasn't broken when I dropped it off, he said if I have them fix it, they'll give me a 20% discount. I decided to buy a new pool sweep instead of give 1 cent to Leslie's. It's gonna cost me more than $240 but it's better than having the cooks at Leslie's fix it. By the way, I found my exact pool sweep on Amazon for $399 brand new. Leslie's wanted to sell it to me for $600. Stay away! They are crooks! read more

I have been pleased with Roberta and Nicole. They ask the right questions and the tests are better than in the past. Well I guess Matt wasn't on his game today.. My grandma who is 84 years old went in to this store this morning and was treated horrible!!! She was there to buy a sweeper and Matt wouldn't give my grandma the time a day.. We went into the Stockton Pacific Ave. location wearing our masks of course. The customers and all but one of the employees were wearing masks. Of course the person waiting on us did not wear a mask. It really bothered me so I called the store and told the young lady how wrong it was that the person waiting on us didn't wear a mask. She explained it was because she had a medical excuse. Hmmm... it's a good thing we Respected her by wearing our mask. Management should have her stocking the store room and not waiting on customers. The employees should be concerned with her possibly spreading the virus to everything she touches which in turn they can take home to family members. We All need to work together to end the spread. So businesses can stay open and people can get back to work. The disrespect bothered me so much We will be getting our pool supplies somewhere else. read more

My boyfriend and I always go to Leslie's Pool, we always get great customer service. Matt and Christian are very knowledgeable and always so helpful. Employees like this enjoy there work and it's very noticeable because they always have a smile and are very friendly. The new lady manager had 3-4 hickies on her neck. I was waiting patiently by the parts department and they ignored me and help another guy that came in after me. I asked her a question about a part and she stated that the directions are inside. I love the chemicals, but the service is subpar and I cringe when I have to go inside. read more

My husband and I have both had multiple negative experiences with the female manager. She was rude, not helpful, and very aggressive. As new pool owners we were hoping to have someone who would be patient and helpful as we get our pool ready for summer. I would NOT recommend coming to this location. I don't understand how this particular Leslie's doesn't get any better in regard to customer service, apparently there have been a number of managerial changes over the years but you still get this "I really wish you weren't here" kind of feeling when you go in there . my last time in, there were 6 or 7 other customers and 3 employees, that ,however was to many customers for anyone to greet or acknowledge that I was there, no one seemed to happy to be working there so I found what I was looking for "an algae clearing chemical" which worked great by the way, paid and left..I know this is a specialty retail store and people have lots of questions that can be time consuming but a simple hello, or, "be with you in a moment" would go a long way toward changing the atmosphere. read more

Yeah, they need to hire more people, and the people who are there need to be better at being friendly. Often I'll come in and there's a single employee, the few times there were multiple employees, they had a hard time keeping track of who was next and they'd help people who walked in after I did. Problem with cyanuric acid too high. Their only solution was to drain water from the pool. Turns out there is a chemical you can buy that will correct the problem but Leslie doesn't carry it. Pretty bad that a google search is more informative. Although the free chem test is pretty helpful read more

Went to Leslie Pool Supply on Pacific Avenue in Stockton 3 times recently. Even before I went the service on the phone was great from Ronnie and Matt. He diagnosed the problem, and when I got there it was exactly what I needed. Then Ronnie serviced my sweeper right away on the spot. Right away all 3 times he took care of my sweeper and referred me to sales. Great job Ronnie, I'm loyal to your store now. Thanks. read more

I only go to Leslie's as an absolute last resort and I usually regret it. They're so ridiculously over priced on most items that it's a shock they're still in business. I went in a while back to look for replacement filters and they were priced at $120 each. I went online and found the exact same ones for $120 for all 4 filters. I understand having to price items to cover overhead expenses and I like to support brick and mortar business whenever possible, but this place just takes advantage of those who don't know any better. A sucker is born everyday and for those suckers, this store is for you :) read more

I had a problem with my Polaris pool sweep and did not know what to do. I took it in and was helped by Roberta, who was very knowledgeable about my sweep. She said she would try to look at it today. She was the only one in the store. Not only did she get to it, but had it fixed and ready to go in 45 minutes or less! She also told me I needed a brush for the tail to better clean the pool bottom, and sold me a "finger screen" for the hose to prevent this from happening again. She is the BEST and I will only buy my pool supplies from anyone else. Also, she preformed the cleaning and repair for FREE! She is a very valuable employee for this store! My pool has never been so clean and I am very happy! read more

2 years after my last review, walk in. Don't get greeted. Stand in line where other people are having their water tested. Other people come in and staff asks them if they need help. Wait around for about 10 minutes. Finally get told the water testing is down for 2 more hours. How is putting drops of testing agent down? I also needed some chemicals and a few parts for my pump, but I will spend my money elsewhere. I purchased my large above ground pool here a few years ago, but after that initial experience, every time I go in hoping it was just a one time thing, they fail again. Maybe customer service training, like don't point to products on a wall, but take your claimed to the product. Maybe a new manager too, I think this guy was the same one that I wrote about 2 years ago. Not wearing a store uniform shirt, name tag pinned on sideways and backwards hanging off his hillbilly looking t shirt. I have been to the other Leslie's stores and never had this much trouble. I will never set foot in this store again. No wonder every time I did try to come in here, there was a sign up saying now hiring. If you can't keep your employees, you can't keep your customers. I suggest everyone go elsewhere and never use this location. Maybe when their water testing station, which was being used when I was there, is back in service, whatever that means. What a horrible experience. The manager Kristen is a walking example of poor management. We had a question about a part for our diving board, while she was looking through a catalog she picks up the phone and is rude to two separate customers while rolling her eyes. Another customer walked in carrying a filter and she tells out "we don't have that" no offer to order it for him etc...an employee came over to ask her a question and she snaps that she doesn't know, etc...We just had to walk out. They've definitely lost a customer. read more

The staff here is strange. One girl tries to talk with a Demi Moore type of rasp. Kind of leaves you under the impression that she spends her breaks drinking Makers Mark and chain smoking marlboro reds. It's like you're in a Stephen King novel when you have to deal with the yahoos in here. But, I believe if you're ever approached by the owner.... your level of service rises up in lightening speed. read more

I went to Leslie's because Sundance is closed until Tuesday. I went in and there was a line to have water tested. I went to the service center and waited but no one showed up. I finally went to where they were checking people out and asked if there is a service person. He said he would be right over however he continued to wait on customers, including ones that came in after me. I will wait until Sundance opens on Tuesday. I will never go back to Leslie's. read more
