We are just some spoiled Bay Area folks who have plenty of options because of where we live. Bring us to Central Valley and here we are scrolling our phones typing in "Events in Stockton" just to see what comes up. While we did see something called "Wet and Wild on the Delta" (turned out to be a swinger party) and a free Tai Chi flow class, all of us had to laugh. We gave up on scrolling and one of us had the brilliant idea to go find some plants. Thanks to the trusty Yelp app, we came up on this gem of a nursery. This is a huge outdoor enclosed space with rows and rows of full vibrant plants. They even had a mini succulent that I'd only ever seen in Half Moon Bay (Crassula Buddha if you're curious.) I'm not a plant person per se, but I can appreciate plants and all the different varieties which is what made this place so fun to walk around in. From flowers to herbs, trees, foliage, and the cutest succulent collection, I couldn't be happier seeing it all. We had the pleasure of meeting Jeff (the owner) who also helped us with our questions on how to take care of the plants we took home. I can't say that this was the most exciting thing to do on a Memorial Day weekend but I was definitely "Plant Happy" walking out with my baby succulents. They are now happily sitting next to my other 3 succulents that I've managed to keep alive for the past few years. It's the little things in life..

They offer a HUGE variety of healthy plants, trees, herbs, flowering plants (perennials and annuals) and other related supplies. We love our Kaffir lime tree, dwarf orange tree, apricot, and more which are still thriving and producing. We recently purchased some beautiful flowering groundcovers; and some herbs to expand our spice/herb garden. We appreciate their friendliness and knowledge about their expansive inventory such as best placement to plant, how much sun is needed, what to feed it, what soil works best, etc. Their inventory offers many options that are often not available elsewhere.

Then come on down to the best nursery in town... "The Dutch" Just kidding. I'm trying to see what it would sound like if they had a Cal Worthington commercial type feel from back in the day. And if you know who Cal Worthington Chevrolet is then you just might be my age. Cut to the chase... So if you want the best sod for a newly landscaped yard, this is the place. High quality Delta Bluegrass is top notch and freshly cut. Easy to work with and excellent 2 x 5 pieces for easy calculations on square feet. Also, they have rocks easily loaded into your truck. The forklift guys are great! They dumped half a yard of rock into my Tacoma and didn't even drop a rock. Also, when I had the sod loaded in the bed the guy laid down the palate with a surgeon-like precision. Also, the staff (only one lady that I saw) was very knowledgeable and friendly. The quality of plants for indoor and outdoor is very good but I didn't have time to think about that since I was busy laying down sod to perfection. 290 square feet and no remnants and it looks marvelous!

Fruit trees, ornamentals, evergreens, shade trees... You name it, they probably have it. Everything is healthy, well-labeled, and easy to walk through. I love that you can actually take your time, compare sizes, and see mature examples. The staff is always kind and patient, and you never feel rushed or pressured. They know their plants and are happy to answer questions. The prices are really fair for the quality, and my last tree (red maple) from them continues to grow beautifully, which is why I trusted them again. If you're looking for trees or landscaping plants, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

If you see my previous post I kept it cute. The way he treated me was bizarre. I had just left my garden in overalls and a bandana on my head ready to purchase some roses. Did he think I was poor plebe (Lodi can be snobby)? Or hates Black people? My friend (white) who watched from a distance was furious and called him out. I'll spend my money where I can just be myself and shop with folks who are down to earth because they in the earth.
