I've bought trees from Delta Tree Farms Inc before, and I just came back to purchase two more because they're genuinely one of the best nurseries around. Their selection is HUGE. Fruit trees, ornamentals, evergreens, shade trees... You name it, they probably have it. Everything is healthy, well-labeled, and easy to walk through. I love that you can actually take your time, compare sizes, and see mature examples. The staff is always kind and patient, and you never feel rushed or pressured. They know their plants and are happy to answer questions. The prices are really fair for the quality, and my last tree (red maple) from them continues to grow beautifully, which is why I trusted them again. My friend insists I post this and they are right. Is this place racist or classist? In this day and age, some of y'all will rejoice. I had to think this over for a long time. If you see my previous post I kept it cute. The way he treated me was bizarre. I had just left my garden in overalls and a bandana on my head ready to purchase some roses. Did he think I was poor plebe (Lodi can be snobby)? Or hates Black people? My friend (white) who watched from a distance was furious and called him out. I really love this nursery. I had a great visit last time and got some really beautiful violas in autumn shades and some lime green coleus for my shady garden. Everything in our backyard is from Delta Tree - the Salvia below the Rose Tree and the Rose Tree / Crepe Myrtles and flowering bushes around them / Butterfly Bushes / and the Tiger Eye bush outside our back patio door that started as 1 gallon - blooms all year. Everything is quality and prices are below other retail nurseries (go to Elk Grove and have a look around). Fruit trees...pathway bushes - bamboo bushes and rose bushes all thriving. They have a huge selection - large trees of all varieties and sizes. Need a golf cart to see it all. read more

We drove 26 miles mid day Friday to purchase a camellia. We were confronted by a closed sign on the fence, a parking lot full of cars and an open gate. Before driving home empty handed, we asked an approaching blond lady who replied, "what could we have added to the closed sign to make it any clearer and perhaps we should print and hang a large banner." Mr. Gonzalez was exceptionally helpful and gracious. He hand picked two beautiful and healthy fruit trees; the types I had chosen. One of the best selections that is open to the public. The customer service is hit and miss depending on staffing and how busy they are. Today the owner added me to the delivery list and had my plants at the house in 20 min (about a mile away). They are kind of pricy but the quality and selection makes it worth it. About the same pricing as Lowe's but better quality since there is so much to chose from. I would recommend to those who live in Lodi or Stockton. read more

You get what you pay for. Succulents were on the pricier side but they are so healthy! I potted my succulents onto my lawn and they grew big, leaves were thick, and some bloomed long stalks of flowers. Only happy succulents bloom flowers. Definitely beats buying plants from the grocery store and Lowe's. read more

This is an amazing nursery. They have a huge selection of plants and trees. I loved the high quality of the plants and they have a very diverse selection. I ended up buying two trees and two bushes and they are great additions to our garden. The only downside is that I had to contract with someone else to put them in for me. The nursery used to be to be open only to professional contractors but is now open to the public. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. read more

Great selection of water-wise plants and best place to get native plants near Stockton/Lodi. I hope their native plants selection gets bigger in time. Received a phone call from this nursery that they found a tree that they didn't know they still had and knew I needed. The tree look sick with sap running down the trunk. Now I shouldn't had bought the tree but they should not have sold it. I should had back away right there then when the owner was starring at this near dead tree. Took the tree home and planted it but within one week it was a rust colored and brittle. I returned twice and was told all it needed was a vitamin B solution. Upon planting the tree it was given a started solution. The only thing I'll say is I will never buy another thing there. read more

So, what was once ugly turned wonderful. Saw two 5gl shrubs my neighbor needed, asked how much $$ was quoted 47 each. Great. Went to check out, was told that was last years price new price 68. Ouch....really 21. $$ more. Hey I thought I was at a wholesale grower?? Guess not. Owner Don was in the cashiers booth, explained the quoted price vs the new price and he just stands there looking like an idiot. Now the best .....told the local nursery in Manteca that I saw these shrubs in 5 gl and he was able to order and his price is 45$. What??? Come on, your making Delta Tree Farm look really bad. Lesson here....don't believe wholesale to public. Shop around, give your local nursery a chance. read more

Great experience here - so much selection and Linda explained everything and took me on a golf cart to show me all of my options for their extensive inventory. She convinced me that a tree would fit into my Jeep (it did) and was happy to get it home and planted. It is well worth the hike. This place came highly recommended so I came here in search of a tree to replace our tree we had removed in our front yard. It had to be a specific tree per homeowner requirements. They did not have the tree in stock so the lady that worked there said if I couldn't find it anywhere else, to call them and they may be able to order it. After checking 6 other nurseries and still couldn't find the tree, I called and asked if I could order it. An older gentleman said he'd check and call me back. He called the next day and said he was going to try to find the tree and would call me back. After days, possibly the next week, he didn't call so I called him back. A younger guy answered the phone and said he'd give the other guy the message because the other guy was w a customer. Well, after no phone call after days, I gave up. I have had great experiences here. They have a wide selection, quality specimens, and reasonable prices. When they don't have a particular variety of plant or tree I am looking for, they always find out if they can order it and call me back promptly. We live near by and have gone here several times to spruce up our yard. They have a ton of variety compared to big box stores. The plants are much healthier too. The staff is very knowledgeable - if you tell them what you are looking for and the exposure for your yard - they will help you decide what to plant.
