Staff is super nice. Came in with two kids to look at pool toys and the woman working could not have been nicer to them!

$21 for chlorinator o-ring. Should be around 3 dollars. Definitely price gouging!! If possible I would give it half a star.

Worth Reading: I have been a pool owner for 16 years and a…read morecustomer of Leslies Pool Supply in Commack. I had a problem this year (for the first time ever) with my pool holding chlorine, where after 2 hours of shocking (Using Leslies Power Powder Plus, which they say is the best you can get), the water registered ZERO free and ZERO available chlorine. Leslies tested my water and all other readings (CYA, TA, CH, ETC) were fine. They tested for Nitrates (Something I had no idea about) and told me it was 30 ppm and I had to drain 3-4' of water from my pool to dilute the Nitrates. I mistakenly listened and did this, causing me to have to re add stabilizer and calcium hardness up (over $200 worth), at my expense, not to mention the expense of adding water. Shocked my pool again. ZERO Chlorine after 2 hours! They now suggested that I drain the entire pool and refill it. I THEN WENT TO CHEMEX in Smithtown for another opinion. The owner, Charlie, suggested I try his liquid chlorine before doing another thing. He said my pool calls for 2 1/2 gallons but "just use 2 gallons" at a cost of $10... Low and behold, My chlorine held for 15 hours already. The problem was that, in my opinion, Leslies chlorine that I was sold, is sub par. The water was fine. I do not blame the young kid who tested the water. I blame Leslies "training" and questionable "methods of operation". I highly recommend Chemex in Smthtown. The owner is an honest, straight shooter, his staff is competent and properly trained, and his ELECTRONIC water testing equipment appears to be far superior than what I have been subject to elsewhere. If you want honesty and a fair experience, look no further that CHEMEX , 400 W. Main St, Smithtown.

At the end of last season my dolphin robotic pool had one of the gripper tires fall off and…read moreneeded to be replaced. so I took the unit to replace the one tire and do an overall evaluation of it. after four days they gave it back to me paid $65 everything was good. Got home put it in the pool that same afternoon the rubber bands came off. went back to chemex for a second time. The guy said that something internally was cracked In the main frame another $350. picked it up everything was fine. Put it in the pool and the entire cover from the main frame that he replaced came off inside the pool. picked up the cover and bring it back for a third time. they didn't charge me. brought it to my house again after an hour of using it the same rubber tracking bands came off and now I'm back there for the fourth time. It's my understanding that Billy the technician doesn't work directly for the organization and is overwhelmed with many service calls. Seems to have a lot on his plate. To many customers waiting in line for repairs and only one tech to handle all of them. I'm going on my third or fourth week without having my pool, but regardless of that I'm getting the impression that this company is not the right company for maintenance on these robotic cleaners. Thanks, Chris.

I wrote my first review in 2017. It's time for a follow up review. During the Pandemic, with time…read moreoff from work and everyone having a pool installed, i started to appreciate even more the great vinyl pool installed by Steve and Mike and company. I became a local expert in pools and quality products all learned from Bilt Rite. I remain extremely please with the highest quality equipment recommended to me which continues to allow me to be maintenance free. I do it all myself, except for opening and closing procedures. The quality of my neighbors' pools, although paying much more, was highly inferior and certainly not user friendly. I can control all from my phone, having installed an Aqua Pod and Modem. Sure beats going out every time to turn on heater or filter. As far as service is concerned, when something goes wrong, unrelated to the installation, they will definitely take care of it to perfection. I recently needed a "board" replaced. It was done with the utmost care and professionalism, coming back a second time to ensure it was fully operational. It was also followed up by the office to ensure all worked out perfectly well. There might be a rare occasion of an unsatisfied customer with customer service. I can only tell you that I have never experienced anything but the highest level of service and getting the job done always. Any issue related to pool function is always cared for promptly. If it can be done over the phone then it will be communicated in that manner, otherwise in person. I wish to highlight the main person in charge of customer service, Patty. Her responsibility is huge. She is in charge of keeping everyone on time with their opening and closing of pools, new construction schedule, rare issues with pools that need attention. She does it in the most professional manner. She answers all emails and phone calls in a very timely way and always get the job done. Just remember, when you show respect and professionalism, you will be treated back the same way, to your highest level of satisfaction. I would like to close by saying they know everything about vinyl pools. They have decades of experience. They do not do gunite pools and have therefore developed an expertise in Vinyl and its associated equipment. If you want your pool "Bilt Rite" then call Steve and Mike and Patty at Biltrite pools in Commack.

He's a smaller company but has been in business 30yrs and shows up to work at job site himself with his brother. Communicated with the electrician and paver company to make sure they all knew what needed to be done and how to do it. And to boot his price was reasonable. He wasn't the cheapest but also was the most expensive out of the 8 guys I met with. just had a great feeling about this guy and he also did a friend of mines pool in which he had the same experience as I did.
